The next day at school, Jake wasn't feeling too good about it. With April in the hospital, he knew that Natalie or Ryan would try to come up to him. And he was not looking forward to it. But at least Makayla was there with him.

"Don't worry, bro." Makayla said with a smile. "I'll make sure no one messes with you."

"Don't bother, sis." Jake said seriously. "I'm gonna deal with this myself."

"But. . ." Makayla tried to say something, but was cut off.

"By the way, did you ever find the Grinmoire?" Jake asked.

"Yes, I did." Makayla said. "And reading through it myself. . . yeah, you're definitely gonna want to know its contents."

"I'll worry about that later." Jake said. "Right now, I need to find Natalie and give her a piece of my mind!"

"Oh, really now?" A voice said from behind them. "That's quite bold coming from someone who had a big freakout a few nights ago."

Jake and Makayla turned around to see Natalie and Trinity walking up to them. And Natalie had a big smirk on her face.

"Well, well, well. . . looks like the prey wandered into the lion's den." Jake said, walking up to her. "Where's Ryan?"

"She stayed home today." Natalie said. "She said something about 'not feeling well', or something."

"Oh yeah?" Jake scoffed. "Just wait until she hears the condition she put April in!"

Jake then looked over at Trinity. "And you're here, because. . . ?"

"Natalie needed me." Trinity said. "Don't worry, I hate it too."

"Now then, I hope you're ready for today." Natalie said.

"What do you mean?" Makayla asked.

"Well, I convinced the principal to put on a school-wide assembly." Natalie said, as she took out a small case with a disk inside. "It's about time they know the truth, don't you think?"

"No. . . you wouldn't!" Jake said.

"Oh, but I would." Natalie said. "Maybe after this, you'll think twice about rejecting me."

"You can't. . . we had a deal!" Jake said.

"And that deal was broken when you left me!" Natalie said, angrily. "But this can all go away, if you do me a simple favor."

"What favor?" Jake asked.

"Bro, you can't!" Makayla said.

"Stay out of this, freak!" Natalie said. "I've done my fair share of research on you, too! Don't think I won't spill your little secret as well!"

"Hey, you can threaten me all you want!" Jake said, standing in front of his sister as his irises glowed a dark purple and some lightning began to form around him. "But get my family involved and I'll hang you with your intestines!"

"Woah, sorry." Natalie said, putting her hands up in defense. "But I have no interest in your dysfunctional family drama. I just want you."

"Want me for what?" Jake asked.

"To be my boyfriend, silly!" Natalie said with a smirk. "Agree to date me and forget those redheads, and I'll snap this disk in half."

"You're disgusting." Makayla said.

"Makayla, please. . ." Jake said, looking back at her and then back at Natalie. "But she's right. I'm done being manipulated by you, Natalie. I'll never date you. So, go ahead. . . show the truth. I don't need people to like me. I've got all I need right here."

"Alright then. . . I'll see you in the gym." Natalie smirked.

With that, Natalie and Trinity walked away and left them alone.

"What is she talking about, bro?" Makayla asked.

"You're about to find out." Jake sighed.

*30 MINUTES LATER*

At the gym, everyone had already gathered and took a seat on the bleachers. Jake and Makayla soon came in and took a spot next to their friends.

"There you are." Mars said. "What's going on? What's with the sudden assembly?"

"Natalie is going to show you all something." Jake said.

"Show us what?" Shane asked.

"Guys. . . you have to promise me something." Jake said. "Promise me that no matter what. . . we'll remain friends."

"You're starting to scare me. . ." Gracie said.

"Yeah, I don't like where this is going." Elexa said.

"Just trust me." Jake said. "It won't be pretty what you're about to see."

At that moment, Natalie came out onto the floor with a microphone in her hand.

"Welcome, fellow students!" Natalie said. "I bet you're all wondering why you're here right now."

"I know I am." Chad said, from the back row.

"Well then. . . prepare to be amazed!" Natalie said, as a large screen came down from the ceiling and Natalie walked up next to a disk player. "For one of our very own classmates. . . is actually a monstrous freak of nature!"

With that said, Natalie popped the disk into the water and smirked over at where Jake was sitting.

"Enjoy the show. . ." Natalie said, evilly as the lights dimmed.

At that moment, the video began to play. And it appeared to be from the perspective of one of the other hunters:

Jake: "April? Are you. . . okay?"

April: "Jake?"

Jake: "Oh, thank god."

Chad: "Hey, freakshow! Don't cower behind your girlfriend! I don't want to hit her again. . . not on accident, at least."

Jake: "You. . . you monster!"

Chad: "What the?"

'Jake': "You will pay for your sins! Prepare to die, you demon!"

Chad: "Men, kill him!"

'Jake': "You picked the wrong night to awaken me, fools! Now, die!"
. . . .

Everyone was shocked and scared as they watched as Jake began to attack all of the hunters, throwing them around and injuring them.

. . . .
Chad: "Holy mother of all satanic creatures! You're. . . you're not human, are you?"

'Jake': "I'm more than just a mere mortal. I. . . am. . . a god!"
. . . .

Everyone then watched in horror as 'Jake' threw Chad against one of the hunters vehicles as the camera began to go static as 'Jake' looked into the camera and the hunter recording screamed and ran away from the scene.

With that, the video ended. The lights turned back on and the screen rose back up into the ceiling.

"And that, my friends. . . is Jake Moon!" Natalie said. "The new student who nearly killed one of our own in a fit of rage!"

"Yeah, you see my arm!" Chad suddenly shouted, raising up his arm, which was in a sling and cast. "That freak did this to me!"

"Um. . . who's Jake?" One of the students asked.

"Oh, right. . . he's not very well-known here." Natalie said. "Well, he's actually right behind you."

The students all gasped and screamed as they l looked at Jake in fear as a few of them even backed away from him and his friends.

Jake blushed in embarrassment as he turned his hat around and used it to cover his face. His life was now ruined all thanks to Natalie.

"Oh, yeah. . . and I caught this recording of him, too." Natalie said with a smirk.

Natalie then took out a small box device and put it up to the mic and pressed 'play'.

"I'll hang you with your intestines!"

The students all gasped in shock as horror when they heard this.

"Hey, she clipped that out of context!" Makayla said angrily.

"So, you see everyone?" Natalie said. "This freak over here threatened my life! I'm lucky I'm still in one piece right now. But anyone else who gets on his bad side. . . may not be as lucky."

"I thought he seemed like a cool dude." A male student said.

"I thought he was cute!" A female student said. "I was gonna work up the courage to talk to him, but now I don't think I wanna!"

"Easy, everyone." Natalie said. "Class is about to start now, so you can all bash him on the way."

Jake got up and stormed off, after the whole thing. Makayla then got up and followed him, along with the rest of his friends.

Natalie looked at the state of him and smirked as she let out a small evil chuckle. "That's right. . . run away from your problems, you freak." She said. "Your life. . . is officially over."
