Enter Baron Draxum
Natalie woke up and found herself sitting in some sort of laboratory. She looked around and found herself surrounded by a bunch of tubes, which were used for who-knows-what. She tried to move, but found herself bound to a chair by rope.
"Oh, great. . ." Natalie said, letting out a scoff. "I thought I'd get to be tied up, but not like this."
"So, you have awakened." An evil voice said from the shadows.
"Hey, I recognize that voice!" Natalie said angrily. "You're the asshole who must've brought me here!"
"That's right." The voice said.
"Show yourself!" Natalie said. "I don't like it when people are mysterious and hide in the shadows."
"As you wish." The voice said.
A figure then stepped out of the shadows and revealed themselves to be a Yokai wearing lots of armor and had two little creatures on his shoulders.
"What the. . . ?" Natalie said as she continued to watch him in confusion.
"The name is Baron Draxum." The figure said. "And who have I brought into my lair tonight?"
"I'm Natalie Heartstrings." Natalie said. "And what's your deal? Why did you bring me here? Is this some kind of twisted fantasy of yours? You like taking advantage of helpless young women?"
"Goodness, no!" Baron Draxum said. "I just figured you'd be a good subject for my ooze."
"Ooze?" Natalie said in confusion.
Natalie then looked up and gasped as she saw a machine right above her filled with some sort of glowing green substance.
"You know. . . I still would prefer this over the alternative." Natalie said with a shrug.
"How did you find this place?" Draxum asked. "No human has ever found their way here!"
"Well whatever you did, may have created a sinkhole on the surface." Natalie said. "I just jumped right in it to escape my prison cell. A decision I may be starting to regret."
"A person cell, huh?" Draxum said. "So, you're a convicted criminal?"
"Well, no. Not officially." Natalie said. "Just a group of dumbass hunters who thought that I'd be a good ransom for my deadbeat father."
"And how long have you served your sentence?" Draxum asked.
"Only a few months." Natalie said. "Actually, it's more like close to a full year at this point."
"I see." Draxum said. "You're perfect then."
"Oh, thank you." Natalie said with a sly smirk, before dropping it, realizing what he was saying. "Wait, perfect for what? I mean, I am almost 18. I don't think you'd get in too much trouble."
"No, it's not that." Draxum said. "You're perfect to be my new experiment."
"Experiment?" Natalie asked.
"To be my new mutant henchman." Draxum said. "It would be way better than being a gross human."
"Okay, first of all, I'm not gross. Just look at this face and body." Natalie said, flipping her hair and showing off her abs and hip movement. "And secondly, I'm not gonna become a monster just for you! Trust me, I'm more useful as a human girl. I can get around easier."
"Hmm. . . I guess you make a point." Draxum said. "Female mutants aren't really easy to keep around. They can get too ugly for the jobs I need them for."
"Is that sexism?" Natalie asked. "Cause I'll let you know I'm a huge feminist! I'll get your ass canceled!"
"No, I do need a pretty body for some of my tasks." Draxum said. "Alright, I'll let you keep your humanity. . . for now."
"Good." Natalie said. "Now can you please untie me?"
Draxum groaned in annoyance and snapped his fingers as the ropes bounding Natalie suddenly disappeared and she was free.
"Oh. . ." Natalie said.
"Thank me later." Draxum said. "But for now, you have to do everything that I say."
"That can be arranged." Natalie said. "Though, I don't normally take orders from scum like you who prey on young girls."
"Can you stop with that already?!" Draxum said angrily.
Natalie just put her hands up in defense and shrugged.
"Alright, there's some important things that I need from someone very dangerous in this city." Draxum said. "And I think you can help me with that."
"Really?" Natalie asked. "What is it that you need?"
"That's classified for now." Draxum said.
"Oh, come on!" Natalie said, feeling frustrated.
"You said you'd do anything I say." Draxum said.
"That I did." Natalie said with a sigh. "Alright, 'boss' . . . what's the first order of business?"
To be continued. . .
