Meanwhile, somewhere on another planet, there was a small island where a large jewel was being protected by the island's most fierce warrior. It was a male red mobian Echidna with amethyst purple eyes and wears white boxing gloves and red shoes. His name is Knuckles the Echidna.

He was the main protector of the Master Emerald, which was right behind him. And he was serious about his job and made sure that no one could get their hands on it. But of course, there's always that one person who will stop at nothing to try and take it from its stand.

And that person has flown right up to him at that moment. It was a white female mobian bat with turquoise colored eyes, and was wearing a black jumpsuit with a pink heart on it, white gloves, and white boots. Her name is Rouge.

"Always on duty, never taking a break." Rouge said, catching Knuckles' attention.

"Well, I can never leave my post." Knuckles said, turning to her. "One wrong move and someone can snatch the Emerald right from under my nose!"

"If I hadn't alerted you, would you have noticed?" Rouge asked with a smirk.

"Of course I would!" Knuckles said. "I'm have great senses. I always catch you!"

"Oh, you've caught me, alright." Rouge said with a smirk as she winked and blew him a kiss.

Knuckles blushed a deep shade of red as he turned away in embarrassment.

You see, Rouge and Knuckles were always at each other's throats, since Rouge liked to toy with him and tried to steal the Master Emerald on multiple occasions. But over time, the two of them grew to enjoy the thrill of the chase, which caused them to grow closer than they ever thought would be possible for them. And eventually, mutual feelings began to bloom and they eventually became a couple after confessing their feelings to each other. But being a couple still doesn't stop Rouge from trying to steal the jewel every now and then.

"Aww, is my little fist-for-brains embarrassed?" Rouge said with a smirk. "This isn't gonna help you, you know?"

"Look, I don't want to fight you right now." Knuckles said. "I have to keep my stance."

"Well then. . . I guess I'll just take the Emerald then." Rouge said as she went to grab the Emerald.

But before she could take it, Knuckles thought fast as he charged at Rouge and pinned her to the ground within seconds.

"Ooh, you're strong as ever." Rouge said with a smirk. "How do you plan to punish me?"

"Look, Rouge. I'm trying to actually focus here." Knuckles said. "You're causing a huge distraction for me."

"Is it because you can't keep your eyes off my beauty?" Rouge smirked.

Knuckles growled as he grit his teeth and got up off of Rouge.

"You're lucky I love you, Knucklehead." Rouge said. "Most women don't like being pinned by men."

"Oh, *I'm* the lucky one, huh?" Knuckles said. "That's rich."

Suddenly, a portal opened up nearby, which caught the two mobians attention. They got up and looked over to see none other than Baron Draxum and Natalie coming through it.

"Who are these freaks?" Rouge asked.

"And how did they get here?" Knuckles asked. "This place isn't supposed to be easily accessible to anyone outside of Mobius."

"Here it is." Draxum said as he smirked evilly. "The final piece of the puzzle."

"Woah. . . it's so pretty." Natalie said.

"It is, isn't it?" Draxum said. "It's quite the jewel. It holds a great power unlike anything else in the entire universe."

"Stop right there!" Knuckles said, jumping out in front of them. "You're not gonna take the Master Emerald. I'll keep it safe!"

Natalie laughed at the sight of Knuckles, as if she wasn't scared or taken back by his appearance. "You think you're such hot shit, do you?" She asked. "You don't look so tough."

"Don't even think about it!" Rouge said, flying down by his side. "If anyone is gonna bring this gemstone home, it's me!"

"No, it's not." Knuckles said.

"I see. . . so you must be Angel Island's guardian." Draxum said. "Very well. . . looks like I'll have to get rid of you first."

Knuckles then charged at Draxum, ready to throw a punch, but Draxum just caught his fist in his hand and threw him to the side.

"Knucky!" Rouge cried out as she turned her attention to the intruders. "That's it! It's time to fly!"

With that, Rouge flew up into the sky to do a special attack from above. She dove down, aiming for Draxum as she did a special spinning attack as if she dove straight for him.

"Spinning drill kick!" Rouge cried out as she charges straight for Draxum, who had jumped out of the way just as Rouge landed on the ground.

Rouge continued to throw kicks at Baron Draxum, who kept blocking and dodging all while Natalie stayed behind and watched.

"Go get the jewel!" Draxum yelled as he was busy with the bat.

Natalie nodded and ran to the Master Emerald. Once she was close, she was really able to admire its beauty. It was the most beautiful gemstone she had ever seen.

"Wow. . . this jewel is extraordinary." Natalie said. "But how to get it back to Draxum's lair?"

"I have the answer for that." A voice said from behind her. "You don't!"

Natalie turned around to see Knuckles had gotten back up and was in a fighting stance, ready to defend the emerald at all costs.

"Aw, what are you gonna do? Punch me?" Natalie said with a smirk. "I'm afraid you can't do that, as for I am a woman."

"You're right about that." Knuckles said. "However, that hasn't once stopped me before. I fight my girlfriend for this jewel all the time."

"Oh, that bat is your girlfriend?" Natalie scoffed. "Please, you can do so much better than that."

Natalie then leaned forward, pushing her backside out and placing a hand on her hip to show off her elaborate curves. She also blew a gentle kiss and winked at the red echidna.

Knuckles blushed as he quickly looked away from the sight.

"Aww, don't be nervous, Knucky-wucky." Natalie said with a smirk. "I won't bite. . . unless you want me to."

"Gross! You're even more batty than Rouge!" Knuckles said, starting to get angry. "I won't stand for it!"

"But Knucky. . . I'm starved of attention." Natalie smirked as she lifted her shirt up more to really try to show off. "Maybe you could fill me up?"

"Ugh!" Knuckles said, trying to resist the urge to throw up. "What is wrong with you?"

"Just give us the Emerald. . . and we won't have to discuss this with anyone." Natalie said with a smirk as she wiggled her hips. "Please? For little ol' me?"

"You're crazy!" Knuckles said angrily. "Like I'll ever give in to you!"

Suddenly, Knuckles was thrown across the island once again, only he didn't see it coming this time. And Baron Draxum stepped up to the Master Emerald.

"Thanks for the distraction, Natalie." Draxum said. "Now we can take this jewel back to the lair and enact the next phase of the plan."

With that said, Draxum opened up a portal underneath the emerald as it slowly fell through to the other side.

"Let's get out of here." Draxum said. "You've done enough seduction for one afternoon."

"Good, as much as I like to show off, there's only so much I can handle myself." Natalie said. "But I'll always be there when you need me to be."

With that, the two of them jumped through the portal after the emerald and it slowly began to close.

"No, we need to get the emerald!" Knuckles cried out as he got up and rushed towards the portal.

"Knuckles, wait!" Rouge called out after him.

But it was no use. Knuckles had already jumped through the portal. Rouge just sighed as she went and jumped through as well, right as the portal closed behind the both of them.
