Infiltration
After some time, Jake, Jakus, and April had all made it to TCRI and we're right near the large building, ready to infiltrate it and destroy whatever machine has caused Jakus to arrive in the new dimension.
"So, this is the place." Jakus said. "It's quite a large building, isn't it? And you say that an alien race had their labs in there?"
"Yes. It's a very dangerous place." Donnie said. "I'd advise you to be super careful while going in. who knows what's lurking for us in there?"
"You worry too much, Donnie." Raph said. "Let's just go and kick some butt!"
"Hold on." Leo said. "We have to be cautious about this. We can't just go in blades blazing. We need a strategy."
"The other Jake had already went in." Mikey said.
And he was right. Everyone looked ahead and saw that Jakus had already ran up to the entrance of the TCRI building.
"Ugh. . . even in the other universe, he's an idiot." Donnie said with a annoyed sigh.
"Jakus!" Jake yelled out as he jumped down and ran to catch up to him.
"Alright. . . I guess we're all going in." Donnie said, as the turtles and April all fired their grapple guns and made their way down to the nearest rooftop closer to TCRI.
When Jake managed to catch up to Jakus, he was struggling with a tually getting inside of the building itself.
"What are you doing, Jakus?" Jake asked. "We're supposed to be working as a team here."
"I don't do teams." Jakus said. "I'll be fine getting home on my own."
"I know that." Jake said. "But the machine-"
"Look, you're home can be taken over for all I care." Jakus said. "I just need to get home and-"
"And what? Protect your friends?" Jake asked. "You already failed them by letting your universe's Ryan die in your arms! And then you continued to hide in grief! And during that time. . . how do you think your friends felt?"
Jakus stopped doing what he was doing for a moment and looked at Jake.
"Did they ever check up on you?" Jake asked. "Did they ever show that they cared for your feelings? If you can't answer that, then-"
"Of course they cared!" Jakus said. "They just. . . they were too busy dealing with the outside struggle we had going on."
"Nothing should be more important than making sure your friends are okay." Jake said. "Friendship is important, you know. Possibly the most important thing you can have other than a loving family. . . are loyal friends."
Jakus just sighed as he continued to hack into a security panel. "You don't know what my friends are like." He said. "And you certainly don't know what I had to go through."
"Well. . . if you really are anything like me, I can take a guess." Jake said.
"Man, piss off." Jakus said.
"What's happening here?" April asked as the rest of them showed up to the building entrance.
"Nothing." Jake said. "Jakus is trying to hack into the building's security panel."
"Well, that's idiotic." Donnie said.
Jakus scoffed as he turned to face the purple masked turtle. "Okay, well do you have a better-"
At that moment, Donnie pulled out a key card and swiped it, causing the main doors of the building to open.
"I see. . ." Jakus said.
The ground then went inside the building, followed by Jakus and Jake.
"See? It's good to rely on others for once." Jake said. "You don't have to do everything yourself."
"I said to piss off." Jakus said, angrily.
As they were inside the building, Donnie swiped the key card again, as an elevator opened up and they all went inside to head up to the top floor.
"Look, I still need training." Jake said. "Maybe while we're making our way to the top, we can-"
"There's nothing we can do in here." Jakus said. "It's too cramped."
"We'll make time for your training later, Jake." Leo said. "For now, let's put an end to whoever is causing these disturbances."
Jakus's body then suddenly glitched out again as he leaned up against the elevator wall for support.
"Jakus! Your body!" Jake said, freaking out.
"I'm fine." Jakus said. "Can't this thing go any faster?"
"Be patient, will you?" Donnie said, angrily.
"I'm dying over here!" Jakus said. "I can't be patient!"
"We'll be there soon." Leo said. "Just a bit further."
. . . . .
Up on the top floor, the hooded figure from before was working at a control panel, trying to get the machine to work properly.
"Come on, you hunk of junk!" The figure said angrily. "Why won't you work!? I swear, nothing ever goes my way!"
Suddenly, there was a low ding heard as the elevator suddenly opened and the group came out, causing the hooded person to hide behind the control panel.
'Crap. . . why are *they* here!?' The hooded person thought to themself. 'This isn't going to plan!'
"We know you're up here!" Jakus said, angrily. "So, show yourself!"
"Let's not be too hasty, Jakus." April said. "If there's someone here, we wouldn't want to make ourselves seem threatening."
"Well, we are." Raph said.
"We're trying to save the world, after all." Mars said. "And possibly multiple others."
"Ah, so you *are* here to thwart my plans." The hooded figure said as they came out of their hiding place. "Well, I'm afraid that's not gonna happen."
"Who the hell are you?" Jakus asked.
"Who I am isn't important right now." The hooded figure said. "But as for you. . . am I seeing double? There can't possibly be two of the same person in the same room. Unless. . ."
The hooded figure looked back at their machine and seemed to smirk under the mask they were wearing.
"Unless. . . I've created an interdimensional portal with the ability to go across different dimensions!" The hooded person said, giving an evil chuckle. "This is absolutely perfect!"
"This guy is a real nutcase. . ." Raph said.
Jakus growled in anger as he walked up to the mysterious figure. "You asshole! If you don't send me home right now, I'll-"
But Jakus didn't get the chance to finish his sentence, because his body suddenly glitched out again, causing Jakus to yell out in pain and fall to the floor.
"Jakus!" Jake cried out again.
"Oh boy. . . that's not good, is it?" The mysterious person person said as they walked down to be next to Jakus. "You're body isn't made for this dimension, huh? You're slowly falling apart until your body suddenly atomizes as you disintegrate into thin air."
"That's why you have to send me home now!" Jakus said, still wincing in pain.
"Oh no. . . I'm afraid I can't do that." The hooded person said. "It's not that I don't know how to, it's just that I'm gonna love seeing you wither away into nothingness."
"You jerk!" Jake suddenly yelled out. "Who do you think you are?! Answer me, you scumbag! Or else!"
"Ah, I see." The mysterious person said, looking towards the others' direction. "You dare challenge me? The greatest ninja of all time?"
"What's your name?" Jake asked. "Tell me and we can have a proper fight!"
"Well, since you asked so nicely I'll tell you." The blue ninja said as they pulled out a sword. "The name's Jak Luna. Don't wear it out before you die."
