            1947   ━━    location : Hydra base 014.

The base was alive, a strong beating pulse that ran throughout the depths of every piece that made the building, even the Earth's crust felt the pulse coarse through it. There were scientists in every nook and cranny of the building making it seem crowded and the building small. Machines with lights bright hummed and were seemingly alive. And in the center of the main room was a cage with two restraining chairs and two victims.

           There laid a boy and a girl, both deadly silent as they awaited for something — anything — to happen. But for what seemed hours they were left there, tied to chairs, and mind wondering if what torture was next for them. A pair of scientists entered the cage and neared them: clipboards in their hands, whispering to each other, and no remorse as they glanced towards their victims.

"Mom," the girl, the youngest of the duo, whispered. But the boy glared in her direction with means of silencing her and her mother ignored her.

" Do not worry my children," the father spoke as he lowered the clipboard to his side. " You will be the strongest warriors this organization shall have."

"For Hydra father?" The eldest questioned, but regret surged through his veins at the glare his parents gave him. And suddenly there was a loud smack that echoed throughout the compound — for a mere second all who surrounded them stopped, silent. Then the noise continued and tears of anger clouded the boys eyes, but he remained silent, face burning. Their father had backhanded him, but acted as if the moment hadn't happened seconds after. The boy knew better, in fact his parents preferred him over his sister. Because he was a loyal soldier, never speaking back to them. But she was rebellious — a threat to their progress.

"There is no time left," their mother waved to one of the scientists to them. "The test shall begin now, before any surprises arise."

The male who came into the cage held a metal tray and what their mother picked up from it terrified them. A syringe with a glowing blue substance was held delicately. "Blair that one has your name written on it," the words were tinted with a venom and a malicious smile placed on their fathers face.

Blair, the youngest, began to fight against her restraints as her mother neared her. Her mother's wild eyes were clouded with darkness — she didn't care. Blair's screams echoed throughout the compound, ricocheting off the walls, but nothing stopped. The pulse that vibrates throughout the area grew stronger with each scream, the pulse undying. And then her mother plunged the syringe in her without warning, pushing each bit of the substance to run within her veins. Blair lurched forward, screeching in pain, her skin began to glow blue almost breaking through her skin. Her eyes rolled back as her body began to convulse, the restraints being pulled at creating more noise. Her hair floated in the air and seemed to give off a blue electric current. And then her body stilled, chest heaving up and down, head rolled back. She was out like a light, the blue gone and her pale skin back to normal.

Everyone in white coats stared in awe, quickly writing down everything that happened into their clipboards. A dangerous aura radiated off their father as he turned to look at his son, "Riley Whispex, our loyal soldier, I suppose you're next."

            Fear filled him, Riley hadn't known fear before today, but the feelings itself shook him to his core. Goosebumps littered his skin, a chill ran down his spine, but he kept a stoic expression — he was their loyal soldier. But the color of what filled this syringe was a horrifying glowing blood red substance. And his facade crumbled before it and he too began to fight against the restraints — no, no, no. Before he could protest the needle was plunged into his arm, breaking into his skin, and filling up his veins in mere seconds. His body began to shake violently, the shackles on the restraints began to smack against the medal of the bed creating a loud noise. Riley began to shout, "It burns! Make it stop! It's burning me!" But they didn't stop the reaction, instead they wrote more notes down. His eyes burned, glowing a blood red, he clenched his fists. And suddenly he too passed out.

        For an entire week they both had been out cold, chests heaving up and down, but otherwise deadly still. But the moment their eyes snapped open everyone knew the serum had changed them. They had been injected with a more advanced version of the super soldier serum that Captain Steve Rogers had. In the beginning the Whispex doctors, a married duo, had worked day and night for an exact replica of the first serum for Hydras malicious intentions. But after a few years of hard work they believed they themselves deserved to be leader of their own group. And so without giving information to the Hydra leaders they created a better serum — more strength, more power, more and more.

Their children proved the ultimate power they had injected them with. Blair and Riley could break skulls with their bare hands, run through walls, destroy things that could never be humanly possible to break — they became beings of chaos. But Blair wasn't her brother, loyal and ruthless, she didn't crave death beneath her fingertips. She craved peace, she craved for freedom.

             But the plans of the wicked doctors Anastasia and Nikolai Whispex were discovered by Hydra. With the findings of the new serum named Hades 001 and Zeus 001, they claimed it their's and forced the hands of the doctors to create more. Along with ruining their plan, they forced the hand of murder of both Blair and Riley. Called to kill their enemies, their traitors, to destroy, to be monstrous at their will.

               Blair Whispex was no monster, she was born with a delicate touch and an awe for things that emitted beauty and light. Blair Whispex was innocent, born without the plague of darkness in her mind, with good intentions when meeting people. But her parents twisted her into a weapon. And standing in line after them was Hydra who brainwashed her to be the one who did the dirty work. And with time she became the monster that she feared.

                 Because in the end, monsters are created.
