The Darkbeast Pearl is a type of boss and optional boss in Bloodborne. There are two Darkbeasts, one named Darkbeast Pearl, and another named Loran Darkbeast. Both are identical, but have different names and locations. The Darkbeast is a giant skeletal beast with long strands of blueish black hair that emanate electricity throughout its entire body. Its bones and skull appear to have engravings on them, perhaps a side effect of the lighting that permeates it's very being.

Classification: Beast, Darkbeast

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman physical characteristics, bodily weaponry (claws and teeth), immorality (Types 1, 2[Darkbeasts will still be alive even after having their flesh removed and skeletons broken up and turned into weapons], and 7), blood manipulation/ absorption (Able to absorb the blood of defeated enemies), large size (Type 0), electricity manipulation, empowerment (Able to empower its attacks with electricity), statistics amplification/reactive power level (As the beast claw draws power directly from the bones of a Darkbeast, Pearl should possess the weapon's ability to gain bonus power which grows as they deal more consecutive damage, up to a 70% increase), resistance to poison manipulation, fire manipulation, temperature manipulation, magma manipulation, explosion manipulation, electricity manipulation, magic, curse manipulation, and blood manipulation (Possesses an innate resistance to both Slow and Rapid poison, fire, electricity [bolt], arcane damage, and blood-based attacks, which is further enhanced by his Attire), resistance to mind manipulation/sense manipulation/morality manipulation (Unaffected by the Shaman Bone Blade)

Attack Potency: Town level (Can harm Yamamura, the Wanderer, Defector Antal, Beastclaw Josef, and Old Hunter Vitus)

Speed: Massively Hypersonic (Comparable to Yamamura)

Lifting Strength: At least Class M (Superior to the Cleric Beast and Vicar Amelia)

Striking Strength: Town level

Durability: Town level (Can tank attacks from beings on par with The Living Failures)

Stamina: Superhuman, likely Infinite (Beasts are able to continue fighting even after sustaining injuries such as being stabbed, slashed, crushed, shot, poisoned, electrocuted, burned, and impaled, as well as losing limbs and even being decapitated. Darkbeast, in particular, are able to continue to function, and their skeletons have been broken up)

Range: Extended Melee Range. Tens of Meters with electric attacks

Intelligence: Animalistic

Weakness: Somewhat vulnerable to magic and fire. Sustaining a significant amount of damage in a brief period of time can temporarily disable its electricity.

Notable Attacks and Techniques:

•Lunging Sweep: A long-range horizontal slash with an extremely wide arc.

•Leaping Burst Slash: Long-range downward slash that creates a forward blast of lightning.

•Soaring Pounce: Long-range jumping slam.

•Charge Punch: Charges for two seconds and performs a downward punch; the attack creates a frontal sphere of electricity.

•Burst Combo: Up to four hits; a frontal sweep, two overheads that create spherical blasts of lightning and a horizontal slash.

•Lunging Bite: Mid-range counterclockwise bite attack; strike 90 degree arc on his right side.

•Thunder Slam: Front vertical slam that creates a large sphere of lighting after the initial impact and trails sparks clockwise in 90-degree arc.

•Static Discharge: Massive spherical lighting area attack centered on his head.

°Forward Static Discharge: Used to end combos. Slams both arms down and generates and enormous forward spherical lighting area attack.
