Metal General is a boss appearing in Kirby's Return to Dream Land and it's remake. It is the boss of Egg Engines and must be defeated in order to get closer to defeating Landia for Magolor. It is a security guard that, in the past, used to serve an unknown master as an enforcer across many "stars." Its master eventually died, and now Metal General operates on the main Halcandra with no clear purpose, and seemingly no less lethality.

Larger, but similarly sized to Kirby), toon force, inorganic physiology (Type 2), self-sustenance (Types 1,2,3), flight, dimensional travel (Went to Merry Magoland from Halcandra in "Another World" into another reality), weapon mastery (Cyber katana), vehicle mastery (Can ride the rockets it shoots, if they may or may not control their own trajectory), electricity manipulation (Can shoot electric needles around, surround itself in electricity to tackle others, spawn drones that shoot spark shots, and shoot spark mines in EX form), explosion manipulation (Can fire off missiles, launch rockets, and mines), technology manipulation (Equipped with AI that can operate the machines that remain in Egg Engines in Halcandra; Said planet is crumbling to pieces everywhere, this being after its master's death, and Metal General having been dispatched from star to star before it, implying it didn't have any natural connections to those machines, forcing them to operate)|Superhuman Physical Characteristics, flight, electricity manipulation, bodily weaponry (Can hit with the drill that is its right arm), energy projection (Can shoot an energy beam, from its eyes and from its mouth), Metal General can attack, but it needs to open HR-D3's head

Fights Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Bandana Waddle Dee using a combination of: Decent swordsmanship, mechanisms that briefly present their own threat as Metal General is occupied doing its own attacks, and itself can shoot projectiles at many directions at once in a way that limits the space others have to dodge them, if its fight took place in a thin battleground. It sacrifices competence for power with HR-D3 though)
