SIX
"Ochaco!"
First thing I heard and saw was Toga yelling, running towards me, and jumping. I toppled backwards as she hugged me.
"Ah! Toga!" I yelped. She jumped off of me happily, smiling.
"I missed you so much!"
I laughed, as Magne walked over to help me up. I took her hand, and stood.
"Heh, I missed you too Toga," I smile, and she cheers.
"Quiet," Shigaraki glances over, nods at me, and then sighs, "Twice will be here soon. Sit down and be professional."
"Why did I get invited to this anyway?" I asked, frowning. The League never invited me to their meetings with other villains, yet here I was.
"Because this villain is a big deal, and we'd like your input on him," Kurogiri explained. I nodded, climbing up some rocks to sit by myself just above Toga. The clothes I wore were simple, though dirty. A pale pink hoodie with some dirt patches, and regular brown sweatpants with a few rips from the knee down.
"I want you to pretend your actually a villain," Compress jumped up, sitting next to me, "The person we're meeting is dangerous, and we don't want you to get hurt. You don't have to actually fight, and Dabi's promised to get you out of here if things go wrong."
"You think they will?" I frowned.
"We don't know," he sighed, "You don't have to actually hurt anyone, just... act menacing."
I pulled my hood up to hide my face, and kicked my legs absently waiting.
Everyone arrived finally, and so did Twice. I didn't recognize the villain behind him. He wore something akin to a plague doctors mask, and a green fur vest. I gulped, pulling my hood farther down.
"Ugh, it's so dirty..." the man grunted, "Don't tell me this is really your hideout."
"Just a smaller one," Twice replied, "No way we would show you our real hideout. Anyway, we're here."
"What a catch you've brought Twice," Shigaraki mused. I frowned.
"You must be Shigaraki..." the man responded. I could already tell tension was rising, and that wasn't a good thing.
The meeting continued. Things didn't seem to be getting any better.
"I have a question, before we continue," the man asked suddenly.
"Make it quick," Shigaraki replied, obviously annoyed.
"Who's that dirty girl?" He pointed at me. My eyes widened. Toga glanced up at me, shaking her head slightly. I swallowed.
"My identity is none of your concern," I spoke, and surprisingly my voice didn't shake. Toga smiled at me.
"Is that so?" He glared at me, "You can't expect me to work with you if I don't who I'm working with."
I didn't have an answer to that.
"She's a spy for us. Her identity must be kept a secret to avoid detection. Should you chose to work with us, you will learn more about her," Kurogiri saved me.
"Hmm..." he nodded, "Alright. I refuse."
"Hm?" That surprised everyone.
"Do you even have a plan for these goals? A plan to kill All Might? To save this infected society? No, you obviously don't. I don't work for amateurs."
"Excuse me?!" Magne stood up angrily, lifting her magnet. Before anyone could stop her, she charged at the villain.
"Magne, no!" I stood up, scared.
"Big sis!" Toga called after her, drawing her knives. The man began to pull off his gloves, but just as he got one off, Magne slammed into him, using her quirk. He stumbled.
Then Magne exploded. I screamed as everyone stood up.
"No..." Covering my mouth, I stared in shock.
Compress launched forward suddenly, yelling in anger. The back wall exploded.
"That was close Overhaul..." someone spoke. Compress stumbled back, his arm was gone.
"I won't work for you, but I'm willing to work with you. Remind me that I owe you an arm, and let me know what your decision is."
"Why you..." I growled, clenching my fists.
Toga stood up, a low psychotic growl coming from her.
"I don't like him Tomura," she said.
"I think I should cut him."
"No Toga," we were all taken by surprise with Shigaraki's response "Leave it."
"But-"
Spinner, caught Toga's attention, and jerked his head slightly towards me. I frowned.
Of course they're just trying to protect me.
"We're done here," Shigaraki glared at Overhaul, "Don't expect me to accept your offer anytime soon. Let's go."
He nodded at us, and turned away. I slid off the piece of debris I was resting on, and landed next to Toga, putting my hands in my pockets and following the others.
Someone grabbed the back of my sweater. Instinctively, I yelped, and grabbed the hood, trying to pull away. Within seconds, I was limp, with Overhaul gripping the collar of my hoodie, and Toga had my sleeve, tugging me away with a knife at his throat. The others turned around, and Dabi lit a flame in his hand, while Spinner drew his swords. Shigaraki growled. Kurogiri looked ready to me through a portal at any moment.
"A large response for a small girl," Overhaul noted. I hissed at him.
"Let. Her. Go." Toga's tone of voice was low and threatening. It made me glad I'm on her good side.
"I want to know who she is first," he replied, "I'll just take this off and-"
I did something that was reckless, stupid, and could've gone wrong in so many ways, but probably saved my skin.
Overhaul grabbed my hood, and as soon as he did I grabbed his arm and activated my quick, then did the same to my hood, putting my arms up. He made a noise as he started floating, taking my hoodie with him. I slipped out, jumping to my feet and ran towards Kurogiri.
Kurogiri was obviously startled, but could tell what I wanted him to do, as he opened a portal in front of me.
"What the-?!" One of Overhaul's buddies gasped.
"Release!" I pushed my fingertips together, dropped Overhaul on his ass with my hoodie, and barreled into the portal, which closed behind me.
I collapsed on what I assumed was the bar floor, sighing in relief.
And then the worst thing possible happened.
"What the fuck Round Face?!"
