Visitors

A brunette guy was playing basketball at a street court alone and shot it remembering memories of his childhood. “I wonder how’s she’s doing?” he thought after seeing the ball swish through the ring. “It’s been a while since I’ve seen year…”

“Eh, why are you talking to yourself?” he heard an American accent call him as he glanced to his left and saw his blonde teammate leaning on the chained walls of the court.

“Why on earth are you speaking in Japanese?” he sassed, popping a nerve.

“C’mon Dean, don’t talk to me like that, we’re teammates after all” the blonde laughed and approached the brunette. He stared at him for a while and spoke. “You visited their place again didn’t you?”

“Shut up Jeremy” the brunette hissed and took the ball as Jeremy sighed.

“Why didn’t you attend the finals?” Jeremy questioned him again. “If you did then we would’ve had won”

“What? To show Japan how a monster I am again?”

“You’re to dramatic Ta-”

“Don’t call me by my Japanese name” the brunette glared at the blonde who raised his hands in defense. “Calling you Dean” he stated and laughed. “I’ve met her”

“What?”

“Her. Please Dean; don’t act stupid you’re irritating me”

“Your American accent doesn’t suit your Japanese language”

“I’m not used in speaking in Japanese okay”

“Whatever” he rolled his eyes and left the court.

“He’s such a coward”

“Kagami! Stop eating so noisily!” Tsukiko scolded the red head for gobbling his snacks to loud. It was irritating her, plus, she doesn’t feel well today, and Kagami’s noise was making it worse.

“What’s your problem? Why are you all cranky today?” Kagami questioned her and shoved bread into his mouth.

“I said stop eating noisily!” she hollered, popping a nerve, and fisting her desk so loud that she caught everyone’s attention in her class.

Kagami looked at her startled and noticed her face heated up so his hand made it’s way to her forehead and felt it’s heat. “Oi Tsukiko! Your head’s burning! You have a fever!” he exclaimed, standing up. “Go to the nurse now!”

Tsukiko slapped his hand away and groaned. “Leave me alone”

“Oi, if you don’t go to the nurse, you’ll get worse!” Kagami told her but she stubbornly ignored him. “OI!”

“Tch, I’m calling Kuroko” Kagami muttered to himself and left the classroom with Tsukiko already fallen asleep. Kagami went to the cafeteria to get Tetsuya who was buying bread didn’t saw a glimpse of him. “Where the heck is he?!”

“Who are you looking for?” Kagami jumped hearing someone spoke from behind. “K-Kuroko!”

“Why do you look so tense, Kagami-kun?” Tetsuya questioned, raising an eyebrow.

“Huh? Oh yeah! Tsukiko! She!”

“I told you I’m fine!” Tsukiko whined as she sat up from the bed in the clinic. ‘Stupid Bakagami…’ “Yeah right” Kagami rolled his eyes with his arms crossed, arrogantly. “If you’re definition of ‘fine’ is having a fever then I suggest you buy a dictionary, Tsukiko-san” someone spoke from behind of Kagami as he almost fell on the floor and looked behind his back seeing Emiko behind him. “E-Emiko!”

“Shh!” Emiko shushed him. “We’re in a clinic, some people are resting” she said in a low voice annoying Kagami.

The mini Kuroko sighed and looked at Tsukiko. “Are you okay?”

“Do I look like I’m okay?”

“Please answer the question politely”

“Tch, yes Emiko, I’m okay”

“And truthfully”

“Do I have to?”

“Answer the question”

Tsukiko flinched seeing the serious looking Emiko. “No I am not okay, my head hurts like hell and my body feels like I’m burning” she said “politely” and “truthfully”.

“I see, I guess you have to go home” Emiko said putting her hand on Tsukiko’s forehead. Tsukiko’s eyes narrowed and protested. “Eh! N-NO! I don’t want to go back home! It’s boring there! And I hate being in bed!” Emik gave her a glare and put her hands on her hips. “Tsukiko-san, if you don’t go home and drink medicine, your fever will worsen, then you’ll be hospitalized, there you can’t get out of bed, play games, eat ice cream and worse: the nurses there will inject different drugs that can overdose you! Do you want that to happen?”

“E-Eh?!” Tsukiko looked horrified with the untruthful facts that Emiko said to her. She only said that so that Tsukiko would listen to her and stop protesting in going home. She took advantage of Tsukiko’s innocence in the city world. Tsukiko blinked for a while and gave Emiko a pout. “It’s not that bad! When I visited my uncle in Tokyo he was sick! And he--”

“Tsukiko-san, if you’re talking about uncle Chiroi, the one we visited when we were kids but only stayed there for a day, then I must tell you that he died a few weeks after suffering from tuberculosis” Emiko crossed her arms raising an eyebrow.

“Really?” Emiko face palmed. “You’ll go home, end of discussion” she concluded and talked to the nurse afterwards.

“Is she really younger than you?” Kagami wondered. “I mean seriously, she’s been taking care of you like you’re her own daughter” Tsukiko looked at Kagami who was staring at Emiko and smirked. “Are, do you like her Kagami?” that question made Kagami flinch and blush.

“What are you saying sick baka?!”

“Oi! Don’t call me a baka!”

“My, my, are they having a lover’s quarrel again?” the nurse laughed looking at Kagami and Tsukiko as Emiko stared at them too with a pout. “No” she snapped catching the nurse’s attention. Emiko faced her. “Tsukiko-san has already Aomine-senpai! She’s not interested in Kagami-senpai!”

“Are, whatever you say…” the nurse sweat dropped.

...

“I hate this” Tsukiko buried her face into the pillow. “The school years almost over Tsukiko, more of the boredom will come, just think of this as training for summer” Tetsuya assured standing at her bedroom’s door frame.

“Gah! Is that supposed to entertain me?!” she hollered at Tetsuya popping a nerve.

“No, it’s a preparation” Tetsuya replied without a hint of humor on his tone. “Don’t worry, I called the whole team and they’ll be visiting you today”

“So now they’re my entertainers” Tsukiko blew at her bangs in a bored manner and sunk in her bed.

“Not quite, Aomine-kun and the others will visit too” Tetsuya added. Tsukiko perked up after hearing Aomine and Tetsuya nodded. “I knew he’s your only cure” that statement made her blush as the doorbell rang. “That must be them”

“I’ll get it” Emiko walk to their front door to open it. “Yo” Kagami was the first one she saw making her flinch. “K-Kagami-senpai” she stuttered and looked behind him seeing the rest of the team and the GoM. “Minna! Please come in”

She opened the door wider, letting them all in. “Tsukiko-san is upstairs, in her room”

“Oh, thank you, Emiko-chan” Aida smiled and proceeded upstairs with the rest of the team as Emiko closed the door.

“Mini-Kuro!” Aya hugged Emiko happily.

“Aya-senpai, hello there” Emiko greeted her. “I just want to leave this to you since giving it directly to Tsuneko’s useless” Aya gave a basket of fruits and left the responsibility to Emiko in feeding it to her cousin.

“Hai” Emiko smiled at her then Aya patted her head and proceeded upstairs.

She noticed that Kagami was still downstairs as she raised an eyebrow. “Is there something you want? I thought you were going to visit Tsukiko-san?” Emiko said bitterly.

“Huh?”

“You know if you have feelings for Tsukiko-san then I suggest you just push them away because you know they’re--”

“What on earth are you talking about?” Kagami interrupted her, raising an eyebrow at her. She flinched and looked up at him because of his height. Her cheeks heated up but she hid it immediately by looking away.

“Just follow me where Tsukiko-san is” she sighed and led Kagami upstairs.
