The Hooded Monster

As soon as the female brunette caught sight of mysterious guy in a hoodie, her mind wondered who he was and why he was here. She also felt a bit nervous knowing that he could barge into their home like that. Who was he? Why was here? What’s his purpose in coming here?

“Who are you…?” she stepped back wearily, her big yellowish brown eyes staring at him, like he was some stranger.

But he wasn’t.

He slowly removed his hood jacket, completely revealing his face, as her eyes narrowed surprised at the person in front of her.

“Long time no see, Tsukiko…” he spoke, with a soft tone and stared at her eyes widened half-sister. She stiffened; don’t know what to say at the moment. “T-Takuya…?” was the only think she said and heard someone panting from behind.

Kagami was walking around the fields, while his friends enjoy the nature surrounding them. Momoi had dragged Tetsuya to flowers to make a romantic atmosphere for them. Murasakibara’s just staring down at the flowers as he ate, even though they just had lunch. Kise annoying Midorima, while trying to convince him to walk with him around the fields. And the couple with them, just sitting under a big tree, Akashi lying on Aya’s lap as she enjoyed the breeze while admiring the flowers.

“Hmm” Kagami squatted in front of a blue flower and picked it. “You’re not supposed to do that” a voice made him fell on the floor as he looked up to see Emiko staring down at him with a blunt expression. “It’s still not fully grown yet, see?” she bend her legs so she was as the same height as Kagami.

“Eh? You’re right…” he just agreed and an awkward silence followed. “Here” he gave the small blue flower to her.

“Why are you giving it to me?” she asked, after her unnoticeable flinch. “Just take it” Kagami said, not looking at her. Emiko stared at it for a while and took it from him.

“A-Arigatou” she gushed closing her eyes and turned her back at him.

Kagami looked at her after standing up and sighed. “It reminded me of you” Emiko flinched, and then her cheeks started to flush.

“It was small, and blue, and…” he paused with a smile. “And sorta cute because of it’s size”

“Kagami-senpai” Emiko snapped and faced him with a pout. “Please stop uttering lies to me”

“HUH?” Kagami looked at her dumbfounded. “It’s nothing” she pushed it away shutting her eyes then walked away. “What’s up with her?”

As soon as Jeremy calmed down with his cursing at his Japanese friend, he finally calm down and let out a deep sigh. Aomine watched him and sweat drop, weirded by his actions.  ‘What a weirdo’ he thought, with a weird look. He cleared his throat. “So, what address did he text you?” he quizzed, putting his hand on his hip. “Oh!” Jeremy remembered and pulled out his phone. “Here” he showed it to Aomine.

“Hmm, block 19, building 4” (a/n: I made it up .-.) Aomine read, and looked at the building just beside him. He saw a platelet just displayed at the wall. “Isn’t this it?” he pointed and Jeremy glanced at it.

“Oh you’re right!” the American beamed and hugged Aomine. (a/n: YAOI MOMENT) “Thank you so much, Daiki!” Aomine looked at him annoyingly and pushed him away. “Get away from me” he sneered causing the blonde to pout.

“You’re so grumpy, Daiki!” he pouted.

“Shut up! Just go get that teammate of yours already! I don’t want Tsukiko--” Aomine stopped talking as he realizes, Tsukiko was also in the building. His eyes narrowed as he quickly climbed up the gate, leaving a confused Jeremy outside.

“O-Oi, Daiki! Don’t leave me here!”

‘Tsukiko… she--’ Aomine looked at the first floor, to see if Tsukiko or Takuya was there. He cursed and went for upstairs looking at the rooms through the hallway. And at the end of it, he saw Tsukiko staring at something, with a shocked expression on her face as he ran towards her then stopped while panting. “Tsuki--”

“T-Takuya…?” he heard her speak. ‘Damn!’ he cursed himself. “Takuya” Tsukiko stepped forward to her half-brother reaching a hand.

“Don’t touch me” Takuya hissed with a pained look on his face. He looked at her with agony while she stared back with confusion. He didn’t want to come near her. He felt guilty. After all those years he left her behind. Those years that escaping could help him. And the years she spent wondering if he’ll come back to her, and play basketball with her again. The years he wasted.

“Takuya, what’s wrong? Why are you acting like this?” Tsukiko stretched out a hand but Takuya slapped it away. The way she does whenever Kagami or Aomine point at her. She and her brother somehow share the same traits.

“Don’t you understand?” Takuya had a harsh tone on his face. “I’m not the same Takuya I was before. I’m not that brunette little kid who always calls you by silly nicknames. The one who enjoys playing basketball and…” he paused to give a hard glare. “I’m not the brother you claimed to be”

“T-Takuya” Tsukiko looked hurt as Aomine but in, pulling her to his chest. “Oi, what do you think you’re doing?” he glared at Takuya.

“Oh, Aomine, fancy seeing you here” Takuya greeted bluntly as Tsukiko’s head shot up at him. “A-Aomine?” she glance back at her brother. “You two know each other?” she wondered looking at them suspiciously.

Aomine flinched at her question and looked at her wearily. “I…” “We bumped into each other last night at the inn” Takuya explained nonchalantly, putting his hands in his pockets. “Didn’t he tell you?”

“N-No” Tsukiko escaped his arms, as he stiffened. “At the inn?” she thought. “Then you’re the one who took the key from under the mat!”

“No chiz” Takuya shrugged and gave Aomine a glare. “I don’t understand why you’re with a guy like him” that comment made Aomine’s head pop a vein. He started glaring at her and was surprised with Tsukiko defending him.

“Why, there’s nothing wrong with him” she stated. “Aomine’s one of the guys that won’t give up on you!” and then again, Aomine blushed because of Tsukiko. “He’s one of the admirable basketball players I’d ever met!”

“Tsk, basketball player huh?” the hooded teen faced them. “I bet his as weak as the other players I destroyed” it was now Tsukiko’s turn to pop a vein.

“No, he isn’t” Tsukiko stared at him intently. “And he’ll prove it to you!” she pointed at him as Aomine, grab her arm back.

“Oi, what are you doing?!” he whispered at her ear, holding her back.

“Aomine, I can’t stand that he just insults you like your some good for nothing trash of a player!” Tsukiko complained, facing the ace player of Touou. “I want you to prove to him that everything his thinks about you is complete nonsense!”

“And how do you suppose do that?” Aomine questioned, raising an eyebrow at her. she smirked at him making him nervous. “By playing ball of course”

“WHAT?!”

Emiko was under a shade of a big tree while staring at the small blue flower she just received from her senpai. She smiled as she placed it on her ear and was surprised by her phone ringing. “Mush, mush?” she answered the call. “Oh, Tsukiko-san?”

*muttering over the phone*

“O-Oh, h-hai! Where? At the street court at the outskirts of town? Why—I-I understand, hai, da sore, sayonara”

“What was that all about?” Kagami appeared, leaning his arm just over Emiko’s head, causing their distance between each other decrease. Emiko raised her head and blushed seeing they were just close to each other.

“Kagami-senpai… would you mind backing off…?” she holds on to the tree behind her.

“Huh? Oh, gomen” he retracted his arm and shoved his hands in his pockets. “So, who were you talking to?” he asked again, looking around the fields.

“Uh! Oh, Tsukiko-san--” Emiko remembered as Kagami looked down at her, with a questioning look.

“Oh, it’s been a while since I last went here” Tsukiko mentioned and glance at Takuya. “Do you still remember, huh, Takuya?”

“Not really…” Takuya gave her a hard stare. “Places like this don’t interest me anymore; they remind me of the pathetic players I destroyed”

Aomine somehow remembered himself seeing Takuya. The person he was before he met Tsukiko. No interest in playing basketball. The thing he loved; he got bored with. He didn’t believe in rivalry anymore. He thought himself as on top of others. But after meeting her; he changed his view of the sport he loved. He had found a match up for him. For his fate, and the sport he loved.

“So then, Aomine” Takuya started. “Let’s play ball shall we?”

“You’re on” Aomine looked at him determinedly as Tsukiko smiled at him with a nod.
