19: Training Camp - Day 4
Tsukiko was lying on her bed, her hands behind her head as she stared at the double deck bed above her. Aya had left her and went out to hang-out with Akashi since it was a rest day for them. She was absentmindedly humming, just spacing out when someone barged in her room as she stood up and bumped her head seeing it was Aomine.
"Tsukiko!!!!!" he exclaimed, approaching her.
She rubbed her head annoyed while groaning and looked at Aomine groggily. "What do you want?" she questioned.
"Let's go play basketball! This boredom is killing me!!!" he whined and sat beside Tsukiko on the bed. She rested her cheek on her palm and just yawned at the whining Aomine.
He ruffled his hair and looked at her. "Are you coming or not?" "Nope." she stuck her tongue out.
"C'mon!!!" he pulled her arm, forcing her to stand up.
"No! It's a rest day! I want to stay here!!!"she protested and pulled back. And since she was strong enough to defeat Aomine in the game of tug of war, she falled back pulling Aomine with her as Aomine ended up clamping her down the floor.
"O-Oi!!!" she blushed at the same time as Aomine as he stood up before he could kick her. "AHO!" she punched his arm.
"It's not my fault!!" he defended, his face still reddened and faced the door. "I'm going!!!" he announced and stormed out of the room leaving Tsukiko there.
She sighed and followed him in the hall where all of the GoM were hanging out of boredom. They were considered the "secret weapon" of Japan in the international tournament including Tsukiko and Aya and the coaches didn't want to use them yet.
Aomine sat on the couch beside Tetsuya who was facing Kagami at the other couch and the two were playing chess. Murasakibara sat on a chair while eating maiubo boredly and there was Kise playing with the two dogs. Midorima enjoyed himself with one of his lucky items or how Aomine calls it: "stupidity".
'Man... everyone's really bored...' Tsukiko thought and heard a squeal and glanced at Aya and Akashi playing Shogi, with Aya biting her nails looking like she was losing to him. 'Well except for those two...' Tsukiko headed to where Kagami, Tetsuya and Aomine were. "Hey, where's Emiko?"
Tetsuya looked at his cousin. "She's taken a nap for today," he answered and turned his attention to the chess board.
He moved the knight and had eaten one of Kagami's bishops making him whine. "GAH!! I ALMOST GOT YOU THERE!" he ruffled his hair as Tsukiko chuckled. Aomine glanced at her and frowned.
'What's so funny about that guy...?' Tsukiko caught Aomine's stare as he blushed and looked away.
"Gah! I give up! Let's do something else Aka-kun!" Aya screamed in frustration after losing to another game of Shogi to Akashi.
She stood up and went over to Tsukiko grabbing her arm. "Tsuneko! Let's go outside!!" she tugged her arm as Tsukiko surprisingly agreed.
"Well I guess staying outside wouldn't hurt..." she trailed off and stood up.
"Yeah! Why wouldn't coach let us cheer for our team at the match?!" Aya complained, crossing her arms. They all shrugged and continued on what they were doing.
"How about we stroll around the area?" Akashi suggested.
"I guess that's okay..." Aomine agreed.
"Kyaaaa! Let's go Tsuneko!" Aya pulled Tsukiko with her.
"O-Oi! Chotto matte! Aya!!" her faint screams were heard after Aya had pulled her with her outside.
"I guess I should follow them," Akashi sighed and looked at Aomine. "You coming?"
"W-What?" Aomine sputtered.
"Do you want to come or not?" Akashi asked him again.
"U-Uh, sure?" Akashi and Aomine left the room, leaving the rest staring at them blankly.
"Do you think Aka-chin has noticed Mine-chin as well?" Murasakibara voiced out.
"You noticed it too Murasakibaracchi?" Kise beamed, sitting up as the purple haired giant nodded.
"I guess I'm not the only one..." Midorima sighed fixing his glasses.
"Eh, Midorin as well?" Satsuki smiled.
"Haha! I guess all of us did!" Kise laughed and looked at Tetsuya. "Kurokocchi, how about you?"
"The moment we arrived at the training camp," Tetsuya replied bluntly.
"What are you guys talking about?" Kagami was the only one not getting it. They looked at him like he was the biggest idiot in the world as he sweat dropped. "W-What?" Tetsuya shook his head and just ignored Kagami, and so did the others. "OI! DON'T IGNORE ME!"
"Just shut up, Kagami-kun..."
Tsukiko got dragged by Aya elsewhere while the two players followed them. They went outside, now having the map of Seoul since Akashi was the one who took it, not Aomine.
"Oh! Oh! let's go check that out! I think there's a temple there!" again, Tsukiko was dragged and went closer to the temple what Aya was saying. "It's been a while since I went to one..." she remembered then smiled. Aomine saw this, astonished. It's the first time she'd seen her letting out a bright smile like that.
"Wow! This temple looks great! Let's look around, Aka!" Aya pulled her boyfriend with her, leaving Tsukiko alone with Aomine again.
"Oi, Aya! chotto matte--" Tsukiko tried to call her but they already disappeared. "Man... she already left," she sighed as Aomine took her side.
"Let her be, she's always like this..." he told her. "So, do you want to stroll around too?"
"Eh?" she flinched with a blush on her cheeks. She looked away from Aomine, hiding her face and answered. "S-Sure..." she sputtered out, both of them started to walk.
At first, she was nervous and she was fiddling her thumbs so Aomine noticed this. 'She's nervous?' He sighed but Tsukiko didn't notice. She widened her eyes for a bit then smiled with her eyes closed. Her nervous was gone and she started humming. Aomine sweat dropped at her sudden mood change as they reached a well where a monk was fetching water from.
"O-Oh..." the monk noticed them, and gave a smile. "Annyeonghaseyo (hello there)" they flinched because they didn't understand what he just said.
"Oi Tsukiko, what did he say?" Aomine whispered to her ear.
"H-How the heck should I know? I don't know how to speak Korean..." she trailed off and looked at the monk. "A-Anni...Annyeong..." she tried to copy what he said.
The monk chuckled. "Japanese are we?"
"Eh?" the two reacted. "You know how to speak japanese?" Aomine asked, surprised.
"Yes, I was raised in Japan and then moved here in Korea," he explained.
"I see," Tsukiko smiled.
"Thank goodness..." Aomine sighed.
"So, what brings a lovely couple here?" the monk asked, making the two blush.
"EH?!"
"N-No, w-w-we're not a couple!" Tsukiko tried to explain but the monk was called by helper of the temple, telling him a girl just fell in the pond and is now sneezing like crazy in the temple. 'Sounds like someone I know...' both of them thought as the monk followed the helper and so did they. They found it that it was Aya who was the girl, making them sweat drop. 'Of course that's her...'
"Sumimasen, we should be going," Akashi apologized with a bow, pulling Aya with him.
"Are you sure she'll be okay?" the monk asked.
Aomine lifted up a hand. "Don't worry. Her medications are in the camp; it's better if we go home," he said with a thumbs up while grinning.
"I see, have a safe trip then..." the monk waved. Aomine smiled and grabbed Tsukiko's wrist as they started to walk home.
"Oi, Aomine--" Tsukiko was about to protest when she noticed his hand clamping hers. She felt a warm feeling inside her and just enjoyed it. "Aomine, I don't know what you're doing but..." she looked at Aomine with a smile. "Keep it up." she grinned.
