number 11.
KIM SUHEE.
on the way out of the building, i walked silently beside park bogum, wondering if i should really tell him that i kind of remembered who he was.
i decided not to. i'll tell him when i can remember everything, from the beginning to the end.
"i'm upset there wasn't enough proof to prove you completely innocent." i sighed, looking ahead of me, not making an eye contact.
bogum turned his head to me and raised his eyebrow. "what made you change your mind, anyway?"
i shrugged. "i just realized that maybe i was being blinded by his fake love the whole time." and because i realized you were him.
"but what are you going to do about sungho?" he asked.
i shrugged again and let out a sigh. "forget about it and live life normally, obviously."
"but...i'm afraid that he'll go after you again and i won't be there this time." bogum muttered.
i smiled at the warm comment. it felt so nostalgic, like he used to say these things all the time to me. if only i could remember.
"i'll be fine." i said, as i entered my car.
"i'll drive." he said, rushing over to the drivers seat.
"no—" i started, but he was already inside, smiling stupidly and patting the passengers seat.
i went in soon after, and bogum started the engine and started to drive.
"i never thanked you for saving me. i even held a knife at your throat, but i would've died if you weren't there to save me. so thank you." i said.
bogum chuckled, a gummy smile making it's way to his face. "sorry for scaring you."
"..." i sneaked a glance at him. "i want to know...if you really were someone from my past, how close were we?"
"like the three musketeers." bogum said, with a smile so bright and happy that showed how happy it made him. "there was another friend too, his name was kang hyunbin."
i was right. i smiled and stared at him.
he looked at me. "huh?"
"it's just...you look so happy talking about it." i said. "i want to remember too."
"i want you to remember too."

PARK BOGUM.
she used to light up my day. her bright smile that complimented the bright sparkle in her eyes when she did so. how come i don't see that sparkle now? what happened to her?
what happened after that day?
"can you trust me, suhee?" i asked, turning my head to her.
suhee pursed her lips together and looked down to my lap. "i'd answer you when i get my memories back."
i nodded. you don't want to trust me, anyways, suhee.
because after all these years, i slowly turned into a monster.
