Report to base commander for briefing

The base in question was in a uproar since the last team returned, mainly because of the four teams sent into the jungle, This was the first to return.

A soldier, who's clothes were tattered and bloody, rushed ahead of everyone else, who were rushing into the jungle.

Soldier: Captain! Captain!

The soldier ran into the captain's tent, and collapsed in the floor once inside.

The captain approached the soldier, who was gasping for air.

Captain: Easy now son, what happened? Where's the rest of your team?

The soldier spoke in terrified pants.

Soldier: We caught it...we caught it sir...Godfrey and Sampson...didn't make it...

Captain: The creature has been captured?

Soldier: Yes...we used...the electric net...it's unconscious...

The captain looked at his lieutenant.

Captain: I want an update on the that creature. Now.

Lieutenant: Yes sir.

The lieutenant rushed out.

The captain continued to speak to the soldier, who walked to a chair to rest.

Captain: Tell me, was the male with her?

Captain: No sir...all signs pointed...to her being alone...oh god...I'm so cold...

The soldier suddenly vomited a purple, bubbling substance from his mouth, and began convulsing violently.

Captain: Call the medics! Get them in here now!

The captain tried to stabilize the soldier until the medics arrived.

After the soldier was carted away, the captain made a call on his tent's phone.

Captain: This is Captain Rollins...yes sir, the creature has been captured...no sir, the male wasn't present...yes sir...

Rollins hung up the phone as he heard a roar from the jungle, and several people run out of it.

Soldier: It's awake!

Soldier: Get those tranq rifles!

A group of soldiers ran into the jungle as the captain wiped the sweat off his face.

Captain: God help us all...

The captain saw a arch of flame erupt into the jungle sky, followed by another roar
