Venice Beach, Los Angeles

The group had just arrived at Venice Beach, Hammer and Hugo on the beach while Bow and Diego sat on the balcony of a beach house on overwatch.

Amanda and Marcus stayed behind on the Apocalypse, using drones to scout the water.

Though the water was plentiful, visuals were difficult due to the vast amount of people at the beach.

The group spoke to each other via radio.

Diego: This is point beta, we have no visual on the Lagiacrus.

Hugo: This is point alpha, we have no visual here.

Amanda: No visual on the drones either.

Bow: It must be deep underwater, meaning it's scouting for prey.

Diego: And that means?

Bow: It's going to stay low to the beach bottom, and look for food. once it does, it will attack everything that looks edible.

Hugo looked at Hammer.

Hugo: So what do we do?

Hammer: We go on the water and push it into deeper water.

Hugo: But what about the people? We can't have them running about and startling the Lagiacrus.

Hammer: Exactly, we need to push the Lagiacrus away and keep the people calm at the same time.

Amanda: And how do you plan to make the Lagiacrus run?

Hammer equipped a bomb into his slinger.

Hammer: With a dung bomb, the smell will make it run.

Diego: I could only imagine how bad it smells.

Hugo: Good luck.

Hammer threw a dung bomb to Hugo, which he caught.

Hammer: We can cover more ground together, let's go.

Hugo: Wha-I'm just-Amanda!?

Amanda: He's one of the professionals, go with him.

Hugo: Damn...

Hugo followed Hammer into the water, and the two cautiously traversed the crowded beach line in search of the Lagiacrus.

Hammer: The Lagiacrus will stay low, keep your eyes sharp.

Hugo: Noted...

Hugo was nervous as he got off looks from the beach goers, as he was still in his field gear when he entered the water, the same for Hammer, as his armor was hard to miss.

The two continued their search, until Hugo felt something large rub against his leg.

Hugo looked down, and saw through the water a large fin passing his leg.

Hugo, terrified by the shear size of the Lagiacrus, whispered into his radio.

Hugo: Hammer...he's right next to me...

Hammer: Don't make any sudden movements. drop the bomb in the water.

Hugo did as Hammer said, and cautiously dropped the dung bomb in water.

The Lagiacrus caught the scent, and quickly turned to swim away.

Hugo let out a sigh of relief, as the people of the beach were now safe.

That relief was replaced with panic after Hugo saw Hammer chase after the Lagiacrus.

Hugo: What are you doing!?

Hammer: Hunting!

Hammer jumped onto the Lagiacrus as it left the beach line, and sank with it deep underwater.

Hugo: We pushes the Lagiacrus back, but Hammer jumped on him!

Amanda: What? Diego! Get out into the water and chase it!

Diego: Way ahead of you Amanda!

Diego and Bow has taken a boat to give chase to the Lagiacrus.

Bow: My arrows are tipped with tranquilizer. Get me close and I can knock it out!

Diego: You got it!

Diego quickly advanced the boat towards the Lagiacrus, and got close enough for Bow to have a clear shot.

As Bow readied her shot, the Lagiacrus suddenly sprung out of the water, and let out a roar.

Lagiacrus

Hammer was still holding on to the Lagiacrus, stabbing it's back with a large knife.

The Lagiacrus dove back down into the water, and swung it's tail against the boat, knocking it over and sending Bow and Diego into the water.

Diego, submerged in the water, saw the Lagiacrus turn to charge at him, and he quickly swam to the surface and got onto the turned over boat.

Bow was still underwater, and upon seeing the Lagiacrus charge at her, readied a tranquilizer arrow.

With all her might, Bow pulled back on her bow, and released the arrow, which struck the Lagiacrus in the neck.

The Lagiacrus roared, and quickly lost speed as the tranquilizer took effect.

Hammer let go of the Lagiacrus, and swam to the surface, where Diego called for him.

Diego: Hammer! Over here!

Hammer swam to the turned over boat and climbed on.

Bow remained underwater to ensure the Lagiacrus was affected by the tranquilizer.

After a moment of struggle, the Lagiacrus fell unconscious, and it's unconscious body floated to the surface.

Diego: We got it!

Hammer: Mission Successful!

Bow surfaced from the water, and climbed onto the turned over boat.

Bow: This will be a story to tell the guild.

The group, along with the beach goers, watched as the the Lagiacrus floated unconscious in the water.
