A/n: hello my fellow readers here is the next chapter to this story now enough me yapping on let the chapter begin

Y/n's pov

as we went down the path until we came across a monster girl with brown like colors wearing what looks like an elegant dress.

-slug girl appears-

Luka: what is that!

Y/n: *sarcastically* oh I don't know it could be a girl wearing an elegant dress.

slug girl: travelers? not baptized either. *looks at Y/n* you look delicious.

Y/n: ah crap baskets

I look at Luka to see she looks nervous wouldn't blame her this is the second time we fought a monster.

Luka: what should we do Alice? alic-

she I see her turn around to see Alice is not with us I look around not seeing her too which I just shrug my shoulders and focused on the slug girl.

Luka: oi! Alice?!

Slug girl: who are you yelling at? *slowly moves towards Y/n lifting her lower slug body* you look delicious....while tasting my sticky mucus, I'll let you come over and over.

Luka: gha

Y/n: yeah not interested lady.

I drew my sword and held it ready while Luka reluctantly draws hers since she doesn't really want to harm the monster girl. Luka then went to attack first going for a wide swing which hits the slug girl but not doing much damage.

Luka: what?

it would appear that Luka's sword got stuck by the slug girl's sticky mucus was strong enough to do so.

Luka: no way my attack?!

slug girl: you can't cut me with such a weak attack.....

Luka: cr....crap......what should I do?

I had enough watching I moved quick grabbing Luka and doing a quick slash at the mucus that got Luka's sword stuck releasing it from the mucus which surprises the slug girl. the monster girl was rather surprised that I was able to free Luka's sword without getting mind stuck as well.

slug girl: interesting.....your the first to not be stuck so easily by my mucus.

Y/n: why thank you, but theirs more than that meets the eye.

I then went for an attack knowing that my usual stabs or slash attack won't work so I hit the slug girl with the blunt side of my blade. the impact that I gave was enough to push back the slug girl doing some damage to her.

slug girl: impressive....you managed to push me back......but it won't be enough to beat me.

then I see Luka going for a stab at the slug girl once the blade point hit the slug girl it does no damage and bounces off of the slug girl.

slug girl: it's useless

she then pushes Luka aside then moves towards me moving her lower body up to what I could guess is attempting to climb on me.

slug girl: I'll be on top of you....

I tried to dodge out of the way but she managed to climb onto me pining me down on the ground while also making me feel her sticky mucus all over my body. 

slug girl: here...have a taste of a sticky hell! when you can't take it anymore....just let it out!

I start to struggle to try and break free from the slug girl, but the slug girl's grip is a strong one. me struggling was amusing to the slug girl who has me trapped in her grip.

slug girl: you can't escape.....just let it come while covered in my mucus....have more of my sticky mucus...

I then felt more large amount of mucus come out of the slug girl's body covering my body in said mucus. I focus on getting our of the slug girl's grip which eventually I manage to break free from her grip and jump away while shaking some of the mucus off.

slug girl: you didn't like my slimy hell....?

Y/n: well you the old saying " no means no" *joking tone*

the slug girl let out a little giggle then moved her lower body up again, but stops then and screams in pain which confused me. I then look to the side to see Luka throwing white dust like powder then it hits me she's throwing salt at the slug girl which is a major weakness for slugs in general.

slug girl: *grunts in pain* 

Luka: alright!

slug girl: *looks at Luka* how dare you...

the slug girl goes to try and attack Luka, but Luka stops her by throwing more salt on the slug girl doing more damage. 

slug girl: stop it!

the slug girl then backs off while lowering her lower half down giving Luka a glare hating being hit with salt.

slug girl: I'll remember this!

she then runs away from us which I gave a sight of relief knowing we got passed another battle, but not in the way I would expect.

Y/n: [that was close there thought I would have to use my trump card.]

Luka: I won!

Y/n: *chuckles* yes, yes you did Luka.

I like Luka's energy even though our fight was a lot more sloppy than it was with the slime girl, but hey as long we've won I'm okay with it. I then turn to see Alice who appears out of nowhere like how she suddenly disappear before the fight.

Alice: what a pathetic looking fight.

Luka: oh....Alice?

Y/n: where the hell did you disappeared off two?

Luka: yeah, you couldn't have been scared of that slug right?

Alice: I didn't "run" anywhere! I just don't want other monsters to see me.

Y/n: *raises an eyebrow* okay why is that?

Luka: hmm.....is that so?

Alice: anyway, you two made a huge mistake in your fight.

Luka: mistake?

Alice: you threw out all the salt for tonight's dinner....how are you going to season it effectively?!

Luka: I couldn't help it! I had to do something to save Y/n!

Y/n: well I could have used my trump card incase of desperate situations.

Alice: using up all our salt on a monster....some Hero you are while as for your "trump card" Y/n if it was distracting a monster then it did work.

Y/n: [oh if only you knew about my trump card is. you wouldn't be saying that.]

Alice: *to Luka* oh sorry! imitation Hero.

Luka: grrrr...if you were watching, you could have helped out.

Alice: don't be hasty. I'm not your companion or your ally. I'm just observing the two of you.

Y/n: *chibi face* ohv really know.

Alice: *looks at Y/n* if you become a monster's food, I'll just abandon you.

Y/n: you'll what now?

Luka: ....I get it. we don't need your help anyway!

Alice: I'm glad you understand, just do what you can. now, more importantly, it's almost time to set up camp. by the way, what are we having for dinner?

Y/n: oh boy.....

Luka:............

even if this monster girl is not our companion or ally she still ask for food. this is going to be an interesting journey for both me and Luka.

3rd pov

as the three travelers found a spot to set up camp they cooked food for their dinner after setting up their tents and sleeping bags. as their food was finished cooking they devoured their food with satisfied faces.

Luka: ah~ I'm stuffed....

Y/n: same here.

Alice: *hums with a smile on her face* even without salt, you two were still able to make something good. if only you were as good with your swords....

Y/n: nani?

LUka: excuse me? 

Alice: where did you learn your techniques? it's so horrible, it pains me to watch.

Y/n: that was uncalled for, but I'll have you know we have been training for more than five years.

Alice: five years? I thought it was both of yours first time....just what were you wasting your time doing?

Luka: me and Y/n learned it form pilgrims who came to visit the temple.

Y/n: that and I have been also doing some self training before this journey.

Luka: I mixed the different things into my own style...

Y/n: I mainly focused on my own style that suits me the best.

Alice: for Luka crappy skills learned from crappy people will be crappy even if combined. while for you Y/n that is understandable but still you need work. alright, I'll teach the two of you a little.

Y/n: oh, well now I'm curious.

Luka: it's alright, you don't need to....learning from swordplay from a monster seems odd, too.

Y/n: Luka don't be rude, besides I have heard stories from other pilgrims and travelers that some monsters do use weapons especially my personal favorite the swordswoman of fire Granberia if I remember.

Alice: oh so you know of her?

Y/n: yeah, but not a lot only that she has never been bested by any person with a sword. which is one of my dreams to fight her on even ground but right now I'll get creamed.

Alice: well good luck with that dream.

Luka: alright....please teach us.

Alice: *smiles* good. I'm not your ally, but it would be pretty boring if the cute boy were to get eaten too quickly *mutters* before I could get my hands on him~ 

Y/n: what?

Luka: what?

Alice: what. anyway I'll train the both of you to fight monsters.

Y/n: you got it.

Luka: p.....please do....

just hours before going to sleep Y/n and Luka train with Alice teaching them how to fight monsters. in all that time Alice watches the two train with their skills seeing the two getting some improved skills, but can still improve through their travels.

Alice: right there, you need to use your feet as you swing. don't just use your arm strength when you swing your sword.

Luka: l....like this?

Luka swings her sword as instructed getting Alice to smile to see that Luka swung her sword a lot more better than before.

Alice: hm, not bad.

Alice then moves her gaze to see Y/n swinging his sword precise swings and fluid motions then bringing it back in front of him taking in a breath. Alice was a bit surprised, but smiles nonetheless seeing both "Heroes" improving when fighting as both learned the technique known as "Demon Decapitation".

Luka: Demon Decaitation huh.

Alice: this is the best technique for someone as small as you Luka, but for you Y/n despite being a bit more taller than her you managed to mastered it.

Y/n: *playful smirk* eh I was always a fast learner.

Alice: anyway a small body is good for when you charge in and cut the enemy's neck. it's said that the Dark Elf Zack was able to cut off the heads of 100 humans using that move.

Y/n: scary and cool, scary for the 100 humans part, but cool for someone else who used it before I like learning some facts of certain moves that catch my interest.

Luka: err....I was hoping you teach us more....Hero like technique.

Alice: thank you for that Y/n on your thoughts of it. while you Luka beggars can't be choosers.

Y/n: she's got a point plus the move sounds pretty badass.

Luka: that's.....true. but our image as Heroes.....

Alice: shut up. we're practicing it right now, whether you want to or not.

Luka: eh?!

Y/n: *cat noises* she's got some sass on her side.
