Prying Eye
A/N Okay, so I'm gonna start putting fan art up every chapter for your entertainment purposes. I do not own the picture above. cherryvioletS on DeviantArt does
Moonlight filtering in through the Mystery Shack's triangular window in the attic is what woke Dipper up. Grumbling, he looked around a bit, trying to rub the sleep out of his eyes.
The deer didn't notice the new notes jotted down on his old notebook as he walked around blindly, still not fully awake. The sound of his hooves clacking on the wooden, creaky boards woke his twin sister, Mabel, up.
The mermaid strectched her arms as she looked around the room with tired eyes. Once her brown orbs landed on her tired brother she smiled. "Hey, Dip-Dop! Wake up!"
Slowly, Dipper turned around to let his eyes rest on his twin. "Oh... Hey, Mabel." Then he remembered the antidote. Scrambling over to his make shift desk he picked up his pencil and started chewing on it in thought.
"Dip-Dop, go to sleep! It's too late to work on that." The mermaid said as she played with her shiny scales. Dipper signed as he got up and jumped into bed.
But sleep never came to this hybrid. Once this dawned on the poor guy he stood up and ventured into the woods to see if he could find anymore herbs for the antidote.
But what he didn't know was that he wasn't safe from any watching eye.

After a little while Dipper came back with an armful of herbs. He checked the clock on his nightstand to find it was 4:00 at night. Sighing, the brunette deer slowly started to climb into bed.
But Mabel peeped her eyes open just a bit to see what all of the noise was about. Knowing that her brother never heeded her words to go to sleep she started playing with her hair a bit.
The shining mermaid decided it was time for sleep since her brother was sleeping soundly as well.
The next day light filtered into the attic as Mabel woke up joyfully. Naturally, this is how she always wakes up. Today she was wearing a blue sunset sweater with the Little Mermaid on it.
Scanning her surroundings, she tried to find a way to get out of the room without waking up her twin, now a light sleeper since he became a deer.
Silently dubbing it impossible, especially with Waddles, she sighed as she did a flip into her portable bath tub, her pig-fish in hand. Jolting awake, Dipper groaned as he saw that it was only Mabel.
Mabel mouthed silently, 'Sorry!' as she wheeled her way our of there. A huge gargoyle came up to Mabel with his arms raised. "Mabel! I have a huge show planned for you!"
The mermaid squealed happily. "Really, Stan?!" She asked him excitedly. Once he nodded she flipped around happily in her tub. "What am I going to do?!"
Stan made arm motions to signal her to calm down. "Let me tell you before you freak out! Alright, I want you to perform cool tricks in a huge pool I bought outside. I was gonna make it myself but WENDY thought we she buy it." He added grudgingly.
Not caring, Mabel raced out side to find a huge glass tank full of water waiting for her. "Wow!" She exclaimed, getting a few funny looks from tourists.
Wheeling up to it she put a fish bowl full of water on her head as she climbed up the white ladder with Waddles in hand. Several of the tourists came up to view the giant tank out of curiosity.
Then Stan stood up on a podium next to the shining tank as sunlight hit his rough stone skin. "Step right up, everyone, to see out latest and greatest attraction! Give a warm welcome to my niece, Mabel! Who just so happens to be a mermaid!"
The crowd obliged as they whooped and clapped for the pink mermaid. Splashing into the water, Mabel hooked up a water proof microphone Stan had Wendy put on the bottom of the ladder.
"Hello, Gravity Falls!" She spoke into the microphone. Some of the crowd cheered while the skeptics clapped politely. "I'm Mabel Pines, Gravity Falls resident mermaid! Me and my pet pig-fish, Waddles are gonna do a some tricks for you!"
Picking up a hula-hoop she gestured for Waddles to swim through it. The pig-fish oinked as he passed through it successfully, earning a few claps from the crowd.
Then Mable suddenly laughed her bell laugh. "Did you seriously think that was it?" She asked them teasingly as she dropped the hoop and started swimming up.
When she hit the surface she continued to go up as she did a flip in the air, earning applause and cheers from the crowd. Just then someone gasped.
Mabel swiveled her head to face the door to the Mystery Shack as her twin walked out of it. He was wearing a grouchy expression as he turned to look at his shining pink sister.
"Dip-Dop!" Mabel exclaimed as she dropped Waddles, a huge smile on her face. The deer's face lightened just a little at the sight of his twin's smiling face. "Mabel, what's going on?"
A young tourist with a frog ran up to him and answered his question. "This lady is putting on a show. Are those legs real?" He asked as he pet Dipper's animal back.
Dipper smiled as he sat down and looked the tourist in the eyes. "Of course." He answered as chatter slowly started to come back. Another boy older than Dipper by probably a two or three years came up to the boy.
"Greg! Don't bother him!" The older boy scolded the child. The boy still looked cheerful as he replied with, "Sorry, Wirt! I was just curious." The two tourists made their way back to the crowd as Dipper waved them goodbye.
A/N Hey guys! I actually managed to get this chapter in a reasonable amount of time, considering I'm so busy moving. Well, I hope you enjoyed it!
