"So let me get this straight, you would fuck Andy Biersack, kill the glorious Bey, and marry Ruby Rose? Why not fuck Ruby and marry Andy?" My best bi friend Freed asked me.
"Andy has his shit with Juliet right now, so I'd rather not plus marrying Ruby means fucking. And the glorious Bey just isn't my type." I explained, emphasizing with hand movements and motions.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, but Bey is waaay hotter than Ruby." My other friend Levy intervened.
"As if." Gajeel quoted Clueless.
"I taught you well." I began fake crying and acting like a proud mother to my pierced friend.
"Can you stop doing that every time I quote a chick flick, Lu? You and Freed force me to watch them a lot it kinda rubs off on my mindset." He defended himself. Probably only because Levy was there or he woulda gone full Glen Coco, but that's besides the point.
"But still! Stella wasn't even a good addition to the cast! She's the bitch Piper shouldn't have trusted! Ugh. Oitnb feels." Levy ranted as she munched on Coco Pebbles she had taken from Freed's cabinets.
"Hold up. You mean to say that my Stella didn't do anything to effect the plot at all? You best get edumicated real quick, and I'm gonna be your edumicator." I began my all out rant about Stella's importance and Ruby's undeniable hotness.
"Really, Lucy? I told you my cousin's upstairs when you came here! He's gonna say we watch... porn." Freed said ever so innocently.
"Okay, okay. This is your house, but you know how Levy and I are. If she does not learn true taste and class, I shall be the edumicator; it's simple social standards." I defended myself. "Plus, some porn is actually not that bad." I added as I took a handful of cereal from Levy.
"Not when your mother is a full-time Catholic and uncle is a priest of the Roman Catholic Church." He scolded. "Go apologize to the upstairs guest before he thinks about tattling."
"Alright, but Levy shall be taught!" I dramatically exited Freed's living room to the hall and up some stairs.
Awkwardly, I knocked on the guest bedroom's door and waited for an answer. None was given, so I permitted myself to enter the room. As I walked in I saw a pink hair guy, maybe the same age as me or a few years older. He was laying on the twin sized bed listening to Pantera and staring at the ceiling.
"Did not expect one of Freed's friends up here..." He said awkwardly as he sat up and turned down his iPhone doc.
His voice. I knew it. It was one of mine. Everyone has about 3 voices; the one they project, the one they hear in their ears when they speak, and the one that's in their mind. His voice was my monster. The one in my head. Apparently I hadn't spoken in a long enough time for him to act all awkward again. "You are his friend, right?" He asked.
"Um, uh... yeah." I staggered to find words as he continued speaking. Using his voice.
"That's nice. I have a quick question, and I don't mean to offend you but why are you up here? I know Freed is crazy about people in his room and stuff. If you were looking for his it's across from the bathroom." He tried to be polite.
"Oh. Yeah, actually, I'm one of the few people that has been in his room and he sent me up here to apologize for my, um... colorful binge watching choices." I explained as best I could.
"What do you mean by that?" He seemed rather confused. Though, to be fair, I was being rather confusing.
"We were playing fuck, marry, kill and it turns out I have a very lesbian passion for Ruby Rose that his parents wouldn't enjoy knowing, so he sent me here to keep you from telling." I elaborated rather sarcastically as I leaned against the door frame.
"Well, who doesn't?" He laughed, "Tell him it's cool; I rather enjoyed her tattoo additions to Piper, and thug enthusiastic attitude."
I smiled, slightly getting over his voice. Or at least tuning it out a little. "You should tell that to Levy. She has a rather bold opinion on Stella status." I joked. "Anyway, I should go before Freed thinks I'm going through his diary again. It was nice meeting you..."
"Natsu." He filled in the blank. "My name's Natsu..."
"Lucy." I introduced myself and exited the guest room, shutting the door behind me. The thought of hearing his voice any more than I needed to made me sick to my stomach.
Just when I reached the top of the steps Freed ran into me. "Holy hobknockers you scared the gay out of me!" He acted startled.
"As if that's even possible." I joked as we walked back down the stairs.
"You know I think it is. I'm only half gay." He scoffed and flicked his hair into my face.
"And I'm only half chocoholic." I teased as we entered his living room once again.
Everyone was in their same spots in the same places we had assigned ourselves a few years back. I had the corned cushion on Freed's couch, Gajeel a beanbag chair diagonal from the T.V., Levy to my right on the end of the couch, and Freed to my left right next to me. It was all familiar and comforting after my encounter with a certain voice.
"Yo, Lu, can you toss me the Pebs. I'm about to beat some fool on Clash of Clans and I need my power." Gajeel asked rather dweebishly.
"You think I can pry those out of Levy's death grip?" I asked half serious, half teasingly.
"I would only ask the strongest of my men." He explained relatively seriously.
"What about me?" Freed asked.
Gajeel and I looked at each other and laughed. "If neither of us can do it, you definitely can't." I explained.
"Yeah. Who am I kidding?" He laughed with us as Levy held onto Freed's cereal for her dear life and flipped through T.V. channels.
Everyone seemed to have stopped playing MFK while I was talking to Natsu. Guess that took longer than I thought. My eyes drifted around the religiously urban room as they tended to do a lot when things were winding down, and landed on the clock. The one that read 5:45PM.
"Shit!" I cursed as I jumped off the couch, heading to the front door. "Fuck me!" I cursed again as I looked at my outfit. "Freed, you have any of my other clothes here still?" I asked a little panicked.
"Left side of my closet same as always." He sighed.
It was normal for me to lose track of time after school at his house. As for the clothing situation, I prefer to dress in a manner my mother disagrees with. I leave my school clothes at Freed's, and trade out with home clothes every morning until I run out of outfits and restock during our weekend sleepovers. It was a system created by our lovely Levy to help me from going insane. Thankfully.
I ran to his room, forgetting Natsu was in the house and started to change with Freed's door open. While Natsu was walking out of the bathroom. Right across the hall. While I was in my bra.
"Didn't know his walls were that filled with posters." Natsu commented on Freed's decor choices, ignoring me. He was probably one of the people not allowed in Freed's room.
"Most of them are from me." I informed him as I put on a light pink cashmere sweater. "For each year we had known each other and each of his birthdays. Well, most birthdays; I sometimes make him mixed tapes." I continued.
"Seems like you've known him longer than I have." He spoke rather honestly and headed back to his room.
I let myself blush as I put looser jeans on and put my darker clothes where my mother approved ones were. This weekend was going to be interesting if Natsu would still be here since I usually used the guest room.
I shrugged it off as I grabbed my phone from the floor and ran back downstairs to put on my shoes and say bye to my friends.
Tardy punishment here I come I thought as I grabbed my backpack and jogged home.
