Type-041, codenamed "Hangedman", was a bat like humanoid. He is the second boss in the House of the Dead and it's 2022 remake, and later returns in House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn. Originally created by Dr. Curien, Hangedman was resurrected years later after his death with improved abilities by Curien's associate Thornheart. He engaged his prey in aerial combat while commanding a swarm of Devilons.

Classification: Bat-like Humanoid

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman physical characteristics, flight, immorality (Types 2,4 and 7; came back a second time to finish off Rogan and G), natural weaponry (Claws), animal manipulation, and summoning (Can summon swarms of Devilons), resistance to pain and fire

Attack Potency: Wall level (Capable of damaging the likes of Thomas Rogan and Agent G who can withstand falling from great heights)

Speed: Supersonic reactions (Can react to and dodge gunfire from Rogan and Agent G) with High Hypersonic flight speed (Can seemingly escape the Earth's orbit)

Lifting Strength: Athletic Human (Can lift two adult human scientists)

Striking Strength: Wall level (Comparable to his attack potency)

Durability: Wall level (Slightly less resistant than the likes of Curien's other creations like the Magician, but still superior to beings such as Sam)

Stamina: Superhuman

Range: Standard Melee Range, higher with Devilons

Standard Equipment: Devilon swarms, claws, wings

Intelligence: Average. Considerably higher than standard humanoid creatures such as Sam, the Hangedman's one of Curien's only creations alongside the Magician with the capability of speech and basic reasoning and awareness.

Standard Tactics:

•Hangedman will first send out his Devilons towards the player. Killing all of the Devilons or diminishing half of his health, which would result in all the Devilons dying instantly, ends this phase.

•Hangedman will fly around and strike at the player while yelling out "Die". Diminish a quarter of his health to end this phase.

•Hangedman will fly above and push the player, leaving the player dangling on the roof. Hangedman will then appear and use the same tactic, once his health is completely diminished, he will fall, screaming to his death.

Weakness: His entire body is his weak point.
