The gutkurr is a species of large bipedal insectoid carnivore native to the planet Ryloth. They are the second most dangerous natural predator on Ryloth after the Lylek. They can grow to 2 or 3 meters in size and although not especially fast, are noted to be relentless and difficult to put down as their carapace can take multiple hits from even heavy blaster rifles. They are known to hunt in pairs and even larger groups, but it is unknown if they have any true form of social hierarchy.

A pair of scavenging gutkurr in the equatorial forests of Ryloth were seen fighting over some carrion. This indicates that they can harm each other)

Speed: Peak Human (Can keep up with Clone Troopers, ARC Troopers, Palpatine's Royal Guards)

Lifting Strength: Superhuman to an unknown degree

Durability: Small Building level (Their exoskeleton is tough enough to allow them to shrug off multiple hits from heavy blaster rifles, which are more powerful than standard blaster carbines)

Stamina: Superhuman (Noted to be utterly relentless by Clone Troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic as well as Palpatine's Royal Guardsmen. Pursued Darth Vader and Darth Sidious over long distances)

Intelligence: They are just non-sentient beasts with no higher thinking capacity.

Weakness: The eyes and mouths are not armored and are thus tempting targets. Well placed shots here from powerful enough ranged weapons (such as blasters or slugthrowers) will put them down instantly.
