A/N: Sorry guys. The next few chapters are gonna lack in romance. Mostly because there's a literal war happening in these scenes, so it would mostly be the reader's perspective and reactions to everything going on. 

"Oi, stop!" a man appeared from the top of the stairs. You all froze in your tracks. You all would have easily overpowered him if he wasn't pointing a gun at all of you.

"This area is run by the Jaegerists! You can't just–!" Jean doesn't even let him finish his sentence as he grabs the unnamed Jaegerists by the collar of his sleeve.

"Tell me, Cadet. You're gonna risk your life to stop us from helping your Lord Jaeger?" He asks.

"No..." the Jagerists replied. Taking that as affirmation, Connie rushes forward past the entryway.

"Open up all the cells!" He instructs whom you assume are the other Jaegerists guarding whatever was up there.

You wasted no time running down the halls in hopes of finding Falco. However, you sadly weren't able to find him. You got confirmation from the others that Commander Shadis and Pyxis were freed.

You minded your business as you got geared up. Mikasa and another woman with blonde hair whom you didn't know the name of were having a conversation near you. Well, it was more like the woman was talking to Mikasa.

"I'm glad. To think we'd all be fighting for similar goals again." the woman says, her eyes glancing at you and Mikasa. You were a bit surprised as you didn't think she would be including you in this conversation.

"Yeah?" Mikasa replied for the both of you. You gave her a worried look as she gently folded her signature red scarf on the table.

"You're leaving your scarf behind?" the woman asks.

"..." Mikasa says nothing as she initially moves away from the scarf without a second glance. However, she hesitates and looks back at it. An aching feeling erupted in your chest watching the sight unfold.

"I am." she replies. You followed her out quietly and went to rejoin with the others. You all didn't say a word as you ascended up the stairs.

The ground beneath you shook as you watched multiple airships fall from the sky and land onto the town below. But what was most terrifying about all this was how almost numb you felt watching the entire thing unfold.

"The Shiganshina gate was blocked." Jean points out.

"As expected from Marleyan technology." you added.

"Zeke brought down their ships!" Yelena says from behind, not even bothering to look at all of you. Her back was turned as she gazed up at the sight, her arms stretched open as if she was praising and giving herself to a deity.

You were able to catch a glance of Eren within his titan form making his way to the beast titan. Zeke watches him from above the wall, waiting for the moment to come.

Wait...Zeke!?

"The hell is he doing here!? I thought Captain Levi got him far away from the walls!? Unless...oh god...Captain..." You thought, already imagining the worse.

"The moment which shall change history is at hand!" Yelena added.

You watched as Reiner, or the Armored Titan, try to ambush Eren from behind. However, he was quickly cut short by Zeke chucking stones and rubble at him.

"Um...I think Reiner's the one that needs help." Connie points out.

"Can't believe that's the same titan who managed to capture Eren the first time. He's changed." you somewhat mumbled.

"Why...is Zeke here?" Jean asks, obviously tense.

"There's no way Captain Levi would let him go free!"

"Unless the snake pulled a move that caught the captain off guard!" You added. You thought back to the wine that was infected with Zeke's spinal fluid.

"Shit! Were their soldiers with them that drank Zeke's spinal fluid. An ambush like that would have definitely get the captain. The sneaky bastard!" you thought.

"Hey! What happened to Levi and Hange!?" Jean demanded answers from Yelena.

"It seems they were beaten by Zeke. He promised to meet Eren at a certain time and place."

Your eyes widened. Hange and Levi!?

"Eh!? No way!" Connie exclaimed. Armin stepped forward.

"We don't have much of a choice! Only Zeke and Eren can save the world! We've gotta help the Jaegerists bring them together!" he instructed all of you.

You glanced away from Armin after noticing Yelena has moved closer to him. Your eyes widened as you jerked back, grabbing at your sword out of reflex.

"The hell kind of face is that!?" you thought. Connie and Mikasa seemed to have thought the same thing.

Armin hasn't noticed yet but seeing you guys' expression made him confused. He blinked before looking behind him. Only to be met with Yelana staring down at him with an expression one cannot describe. It wasn't a happy one though.

Nobody said a word and after a moment of silence, Yelena's expression suddenly changed, and she smiled softly down at Armin. Tears pricking at the corners of her eyes.

"Please help Zeke and Eren. I believe in you." She speaks. Armin doesn't respond, still in shock of what just happened.

"ಠ_ಠ)...creepy bitch." You thought. And you all wasted no time zipping out of there.

You stayed laid against the roof of a house. Bullets flying from the opposite side, leaving you all cornered and with no way around.

"It's no use! There's too many! We can't get near Eren!" Jean shouted.

"I'm guessing transforming into my titan wouldn't help our predicament!?" You asked.

"NO!" your friends shouted at you.

"Okay, okay. Just wanted to leave out options. (-_-)ゞ゛" You replied. The ground rumbled as you saw Eren still making his way towards Zeke.

*SLAM*

You nearly jumped out of your skin as the Jaw Titan landed on the same roof you guys were camping on. Not even noticing you before jumping onto the next roof. Jeez, that scared you!

"Looks like it's trying to ambush Eren." you thought. Zeke was quick to notice the ambush as well and throw rubble at the Jaw Titan, stopping it in its tracks.

"Does Eren really need our help at this point? Zeke's got it covered for the most part." You somewhat mumbled.

*BANG*

Your eyes widened as out of nowhere, the Beast Titan's neck got blasted open. Your jaw dropped open as you ate your words right back up.

"Never mind." You added. Your friends gave you a look, more concerned with how you can be making jokes at a time like this.

"Sorry. I make jokes when I'm nervous." you apologized. You pointed at the direction where the shot came from.

"That must have been the Cart Titan. Zeke must have thought it was taken care of." You pointed out.

"His biggest mistake was underestimating Pieck's intelligence. I should have known she'll have a trick up her sleeve." You thought.

The Beast Titan's corpse fell from the wall, landing on the ground in a loud boom. Things were getting bad. The Beast Titan was done and now the Cart Titan was making its move on Eren.

"The Cart Titan. We must do something about her first." Armin instructed. You gasped as you quickly moved away.

"Hey, watch out!" You called out.

"Armin!" Mikasa shouted, acting quickly and pulling him out of the way of flying bullets.

"We have to worry about ourselves first!" You shouted.

"She's right! The houses are full of enemies!" Connie added.

"This place is no good!" Jean called out to you all before zipping off. You all followed after him.

"We have to handle the Marleyan soldiers first." Mikasa instructed. You and Armin both agreed.

"Surround them!" You heard Commander Pyxis shout. "Assault them from behind!"

Armin was the last to land as you all regrouped.

"Commander's right. Now's not the time to face the Marleyan soldiers head-on. We should get them from behind." he instructed.

"On it!" You said before jumping into action.

"Be careful of the ones in the houses!" You added. The tactic seemed to be working, Marleyan soldiers out in the open were dropping like flies for a bit.

All of a sudden, you heard a loud scream erupt from far away. You stopped in your tracks as you saw a bright light shining.

That was the Beast Titan. It's screaming. But not just any scream. Your eyes widened.

SHIT!

Commander Pyxis! All the soldiers who drank Zeke's spinal fluid.

Falco....

Then all of a sudden, bright light flashes exploded from all over the town. Your eyes blinded as your body was thrown back. You felt arms capture around you, holding you steady. 

Then the explosions stopped. Your eyes slowly blinked open but closed quickly as they burned. Smoke surrounded the air as you can faintly make out giant familiar figures walking along the buildings. 

"Zeke...you sick bastard." Was a thought that managed to run through your mind. 

All of a sudden, your body heaved and covered your ears. All of your senses have turned against you as your ears was suddenly plagued with agonizing screams from the pure titans. The pure titans that were once human. 

A side effect to the Root Titan. Because you were emotionally connected to all Eldians, you could feel the agonizing pain. The strongest was when Eldians are transformed into pure titans. 

Your head was splitting in half, your noise burning, eyes watering, ears about to explode from the agonizing screams you were hearing. Everything went numb. 

Luckily, your friends knew what to do as you yourself have instructed them so. 

"If I ever lose my shit and we're in danger. Wait about a minute for me to get my shit together. If I take longer or there's not enough time, don't bother waiting for me to snap out of it. Just pull me to my feet and get my body moving. Adrenaline should kick in." You told them. 

Jean pulled you up (he was also the one who caught you) while Mikasa and Armin nudged you to move. You could barely hear their voices. Connie clapped his hands in front of you in an attempt to snap you out of it. 

It surprisingly worked as you got to moving, Armin pulling you by your arm as you all zipped off to do what you could. Although your ears were still ringing, adrenaline took its course and got you moving. 

You, Armin, and Mikasa all went for the Cart Titan. However, you guys were too late to stop it from taking a shot at Zeke. Armin managed to take down the shooter, but there was still Marylan soldiers hiding from beneath. 

Mikasa took care of two of the soldiers with ease. You were still not 100% to fight, so you just idled back and landed safely on the ground. Coming face to face with the Cart Titan made. 

"..." Your heart was hammering loudly in your chest. Your expression softened for just a moment. 

"Pieck..." you thought.
