Update- 5/24/21: Minor changes

"Hng!" Eren grunted as he got you on your horse. 

Till this day, you can never get on a horse properly. How embarrassing. 

Eren noticed your red cheeks of embarrassment. 

"Don't be embarrassed Y/n. I'm always happy to help you. No matter how funny the situation might be."

Funny!?

You scoffed while staring at Eren angrily. Your cheeks puffing out. Eren laughed. 

"You're so cute sometimes."

Your cheeks grew red and you looked away, still angry.  

"Aw, come on Y/n. Don't be like that. Look at me."

You continued to ignore. 

"Are you two just going to keep flirting with each other all day or are you going to get in position?" you heard a deep voice ask. 

Eren immediately tensed as Captain Levi glared at you two...well more like he glared at Eren. 

"S-sir!"

"I asked you a damn question. Are you ready or not?"

"Y-yes! We're ready. Y/n just needed help getting on her horse." Eren explained. 

"She's perfectly capable of doing it herself."

"No, I'm not..."

"But-" Levi's glare made Eren cut off his protest. 

"Get into position, Jeager." Levi growled slightly. 

Eren gulped before hurrying off. 

"Later Y/n!" Eren called. 

You waved goodbye at him. You felt a presence next to you. You turned to your right to find Levi there. You mentally gulped. 

"Let's go." he said before slowly riding his horse to position. You quickly followed after him. 

You managed to catch up to him, but then got caught off guard when you were close enough.

What's this?

You know this sense very well but never expected from someone like him!

It was...protectiveness?

"We have very important tasks to get through to. There is absolutely no time to free-load. Understand cadet?" he speaks seriously. 

You gave him a blank stare. Does he really mean this?

...

He doesn't. 

You nodded anyways. 

You all lined up and waited for the signal to move. You looked behind you to see all the cadets behind you. 

You all were very first in position? You didn't know why. 

"Are you ready for this Y/n?"

You looked towards Eren and let out a determined hum. 

Eren chuckled at this. 

"ONWARD!!" You heard Commander Erwin yell. 

And then...you all were off. 

*Time Skip*

You all rode for a pretty long time until you reached a large forest with giant size trees that didn't even look normal. 

Isn't this the titan forest?

Before you knew it, the cadets around you started splitting up into different directions. You soon became really nervous. 

This is really it, huh?

Your squad soon entered the forest, the trees were so tall and huge that they blocked any sunlight from entering. You began to feel a bit tense. 

You tried your best to calm down, taking in deep breaths. 

You closed your eyes, taking in the senses around you. 

Trees...grass...logs...bushes...wet moss...

Your eyes widened as a familiar sensation came into contact. It was strong. And highly familiar.

Wait...this sensation. There's a titan nearby!

But where, you guys would have seen it by now!?

But this was much stronger than an average titan. Back when Sawney and Bean were killed, it was the same sense you picked up along with theirs. 

Much stronger and more nauseating, the one that Eren and the others had. 

The sense became clearer...

And it's getting closer...

Then, you heard something that you don't think no one else heard. 

Footsteps...banging against the earth. 

That's the titan! But where is it coming from!?

You looked around frantically, a clear expression of panic evident on your face. 

Clearly no one else can hear this. Which is expected because your senses are heightened. 

Eren was the first to notice your panic. 

"Y/n? What's wrong? You're acting strange?"

It was hard to sign while moving on your horse, so you gestured your head in the direction behind you. 

"There's something behind us...?" He asked, fear was evident in his voice. 

You slowly nodded. 

"No way, a titan!?" He asked. This caught Petra's attention. 

"A titan? We haven't seen any so far. We would have heard it by now." Petra said. 

This caught the attention of Gunther, Eld, and Oluo. Oluo scoffed. 

"A titan, seriously? She must be imagining things. If she's so scared, she should have never signed up for the Survey Corps."

"Oluo, shut up!"

Oh my gosh...they are oblivious!!

The sensation was getting stronger and the footsteps you could faintly hear were getting louder. You started to look behind you a bit more frantically, nothing was behind. 

Were you going crazy? No! Your senses are never wrong!

Something was there! It was approaching fast! 

But what can you do?

They won't believe you. Not until they see it. 

And it seems like the universe has made a solution. 

The ground shook, you felt it. 

This time, the others felt it too. 

"What's that sound?"

"The titan?"

The loud thumps began getting more frequent and were now coming towards you at a fast pace. 

You looked behind as your eyes widened with fear. 

A giant, female like titan charging at you all at full speed. 

You weren't the only one who noticed it, but you didn't dare waste time seeing everyone's expression. You pressed your horse to ride faster. 

"Wait, Y/n! We need to stay in position!" Petra said as she stopped your actions. She was trying to keep you calm. But you tell from her voice she was panicking on the inside. 

You tried to focus on trying to get away, but you couldn't help but look back. Yes, it was a titan with a female body. But that was the least of your concerns. 

What concerned you the most was its short blonde hair and blue eyes. Where have I seen those features before?

Wait...no...

Annie!?

You noticed your squad mates looking frantically back and forth towards the charging female titan and your captain, expecting an order from him. 

If he has one, better say it now because you don't like how close that titan is getting. 

"Captain!" Petra yelled. 

Levi remained quiet, acting like nothing was wrong. You sniffed the air. Again, you were surprised. You could smell a tiny bit of fear and panic from him. 

The female titan was coming closer, and Captain Levi still remained quiet. Your trust and patience with this man is slowly leaving your body. 

You fought against titans, but this was a possible intelligent one. Attacking won't probably do much. 

You looked to your left to find Eren about to bite his hand. He noticed your wide eyes and stopped mid-action. 

"I have to do something, Y/n!"

Would they even let him!?

Petra noticed. 

"Eren! No! Don't do it!"

"Let him do what he wants." a deep voice replied. 

You all turned towards your Captain, who now decides to speak. 

"The choice is up to him to decide. A choice he won't regret later on."

You looked towards Eren, who seemed shocked, but then went into deep thought. 

No, Eren! Not now! Now is not the time to think deeply!

After for what seemed like forever. Levi finally had enough of waiting. 

"EREN!!" he yelled. That snapped him out of it. 

"COME ON! MAKE UP YOUR DAMN MIND!"

"And please, do it now!" You thought. 

You looked towards Eren, he seemed to be hesitating to answer. 

"I choose to stay!" he screamed on the top of his lungs. 

You saw Levi's eyes widened a bit. He wasn't expecting that answer. 

You weren't expecting that either. 

Out of the corner of your eye, you see a large hand about to grab Eren. You mentally screamed, but a puff of smoke caught you off guard. 

You all rode out of the smoke and noticed the giant footsteps have stopped. 

You looked back to find the female titan wrapped in wires. 

How did that...?

"Keep moving and protect Eren and Y/n. Look after my horse while you're at it." Levi ordered before shooting off. 

You looked around to see everyone relieved. But you weren't.  

After all that commotion, you have come to a conclusion of who that titan might have been. 

But you don't want to believe it. Not like anyone will believe you. 

A tense feeling still remained inside you. Something tells you this is not over. 

That things will end very badly...

The next update will come much sooner than you think. And boy let me tell you, the next chapter is going to be crazy. But that's up for you to decide what might happen ;)*
