"AAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Hange's screams and cried erupted the entire area. 

A large crowd of scouts, some being the military police gathered around the evaporating titans. Since Hange was the only one who was upset about this, some scouts found it amusing that they would be reacting like this. 

"SAWNEY!!!!! BEAN!!!!!" Hange screamed once more. 

"H-..How did this happen?" Eren asked quietly. 

"Let's leave that for the military police to solve." Levi replied. 

Like they're going to do anything. 

You stared at Hange's upset form for a few moments before letting go of Eren's hand and running towards their direction. 

"W-wait! Y/n!" Eren called out. 

You pushed through the sea of people and even past the guards blocking anyone from coming closer, they called after you, but you ignored them. 

You know you weren't supposed to be doing this, but Hange at least deserved some form of comfort. 

You gently put a hand on Hange's shoulder and they turned to you with teary eyes. 

You gave her a sad look. 

'It's okay...' You signed. 

They broke into sobs and clutched your hand that is on their shoulder. 

"Thank you, Y/n..." they managed to say. 

You continued to comfort them until you felt a familar sensation that came from the crime scene. 

Your eyes fixed on the scene in tension, immediately matching the face you felt that sensation before. 

Wait...could it be--?

Hange let go and wiped their tears. Though they still looked a bit of a mess. 

You stared intently at the crime scene. 

There's no way she could have done this?

But why...?

You had your suspicion.

But couldn't tell anyone since where was your evidence? 

*Time Skip*

After the whole titan murder fiasco, you all made it back to the castle. You were at the training grounds and you watched from afar as Eren tried bonding with your other squad mates. But found it hard either because he was a titan shifter or because he was a kid like you. 

You decided to revert your attention to Captain Levi who was watching his squad from a distance like you. 

"Hello everyone~!" Hange called out as you all. 

You flinched back. How did they change moods so quick!? They were a sobbing, screaming mess a few minutes ago and now they were back to their normal self!?

Talk about mood swings!!

"Section Commander Hange?!" Eren said. He was just as surprised as you were. 

"U-um...how are you feeling?"

"Just fine my dear boy. Although the events that happened early still left me in a grieving state, I've decided to take my mind off it with a little observation."

 Everyone's attitude has changed to tension. 

"I've decided to watch Y/n's training session today."

Everyone sighed in relief. It wasn't something titan related. 

"Yeah, I'm curious. I've never seen Y/n skills for myself. Might as well see if the rumors are true! If Y/n is giving Captain Levi a run for his money!" Hange teased. 

You looked at Captain then at Hange. 

Wait...they aren't implying--!?

"Are you saying that Y/n is similar to Captain Levi in strength!?" Petra exclaimed. 

"I'll take those words into consideration once I see for myself. Besides, there's a reason Commander Erwin wanted Levi to train Y/n in the first place."

You could sense how tense Hange's voice became when they said that last part. 

"No way! You can't just say that Y/n is stronger than Captain!" Oluo asked. 

"I'm just joking, didn't know it bothered you guys that much. But seriously, I'm curious. How is Humanity's Strongest training his pupil." Their eyes narrowed slightly at Captain. 

It was then that you had a clear idea to why Hange is worried. Commander Erwin is using you. 

No way he will just let Captain Levi, Humanity's Strongest, train you without any proper reason. He wanted to skill, wanted to enhance it more. 

But why did it have to be you? Annie and Mikasa, they were way stronger than you...

Captain Levi stepped forward, after staying silent for a while. 

"If that's what you want, fine." Captain turned to you.

"But she's still my responsibility, no matter what you say afterwards." 

Everyone began to grow tense, feeling that this situation had a deeper meaning. 

"Captain...?" Petra asked nervously. 

"..." Captain remained silent, he was serious. 

"Great! Then it's settled. What are you training her on this time, shorty!?" 

You flinched. Did they really just called him that!?

"Tch." Levi turned his head away. 

What!? They got away with it as well!?

"She's done well with physical training. She managed to win multiple rounds with each of her squad mates. But she hasn't gone against me..."

Your eyes widened. 

Oh...shit...

Everyone held their breath, you were going to fight against the Captain! 

Humanity's Strongest!?

"You ready?" Captain asked. 

You followed Captain to an empty space, everyone else watched in the background. 

"Good luck, Y/n!" Eren called out. 

Captain wasted no time immediately going into action, you yelped as you just barely managed to dodge. 

"Oh shit! She managed to dodge that!"

Captain's moves were quick, but you kept your distance. 

Captain seemed impressed by this, stopping his attacks. 

"You're agile, good at dodging. But you're not good at blocking." He told you. 

"Try blocking my attacks next." 

You let out an exhaled before nodding. 

You held your arms up to your face, Captain gave you a look before hitting. 

He was right about your blocking being bad, he managed to give you a hard hit. 

"GRK!!" You grunted as he landed a punch in your side, you fell to the ground. 

You heard gasps from the others as you clenched your side, staggering as you slowly got up. 

That hit...that hit was nothing!

You wiped the dirt from your cheek as Captain looked down at you, almost in surprise. 

Without him needing to tell you, you got up and fixed your blocking pose. 

Captain then continued his attacks; you were getting better at blocking this time. You still got hit a few times, but you still managed to remain on your feet. 

You dropped your arms and let out tired breaths, your face was busted a bit, you already know some parts of your body was bruised. 

"Good job, Y/n!" Eren called from the background. 

You looked over at Hange, who hasn't said anything in a while. They were watching intently, their eyebrows furrowed in worry. 

"Your blocking could use some work. But you learned and adapted. Good work." Captain complimented. 

"But you're holding back..."

Your eyes widened. 

"The way Shadis described you to us, it's different from what you're showing me now. You're determined, you can take a hit. But right now...this is not the real you."

What...

What is he talking about?

"This time, I want you to attack first."

You could feel tension arise in the air. But you weren't going to show your fear. 

You took in one final breath of courage before going in for the attack, of course with each hit you threw, Captain managed to dodge or at least take hits from you. 

You landed some good hits to, but the captain was way more experienced than you. You went on like this for a while before the captain held you in place. 

You tried fighting against his grip, never losing eye contact as you tried to break free from it. 

"GRK!!" You grunted as Captain pushed you back and gave you a hard hit to the face. 

You landed on the ground, hard!

You struggled to get up as you held your now swollen cheek. You didn't bother to get up, you knew Captain won this fight. 

But the Captain still remained there, standing over. 

"I didn't say we were done."

Huh...?

You began to get up, his words leaving you in shock. You forgot about the pain you were in. 

"I'm not ending this until I see the real you."

You managed to get on your feet, spitting out blood from your mouth. In that moment, you felt that switch when you fought Shadis. 

Without warning, you lunged at the Captain. Throwing in hits, most he was not able to dodge. He allowed himself to take more hits before pushing you back. 

You reacted quickly and managed to block the couple of hits he threw with your arm, then he grabbed ahold of your hair. 

"I see now why Shadis fell to you. This lesser version of you. But in my eyes, you're still weak. You're still holding back. What are you afraid of!?"

"Captain!"

"LEVI! THAT'S ENOUGH!" 

In that tense moment, your vision faded, and you felt a surge of energy flow through you. 

You headbutted Captain and threw a hard punch that managed to get him to let you go. 

You remained standing, yelling as Captain slowly walked away from you. 

"Y/n!!" Eren came running towards you. 

Petra soon joined in, examining your wounds. 

"Levi! What the hell was that!?" Hange yelled. 

"You could have ended it right then and there. Why did you push her!? What were you trying to prove!?"

Captain turned around; everyone's eyes widened. 

He was bleeding from the nose and mouth.  

"This is why Commander Erwin took an interest in you." He spoke. 

 He later took out a handkerchief and began to wipe the blood off of him. 

Holy shit...you landed a hit towards the Captain. And made him bleed!

You looked at your hands, they were bruised from the fight. It was then the pain started to settle in. 

Not only the pain but what just happened. This was the second time, no, third time you lost control. 

Like awakening a hidden strength or battle experience you never had. 

"Oh no....honey." Hange engulfed you in a hug. 

You didn't know why they did it, but then you felt tears running down your cheeks. 

You're...crying again?

How pathetic...

Out of the corner of your eyes, you saw Captain walk away in silence.
