Chapter 26

Inside the Demon’s Mind

Skye’s POV

Damn boring.

“Skye..” Terrence called out. I bit my 109th lollipop out of its stick and chewed it. Narinig ko ang mga yabag niya and I already felt his presence beside me in a matter of seconds.

“I’m going out with Ace and Zeke. Going to have our tour in the place. You want to come?,” he asked. I shook my head and unwrapped my 110th lollipop. Nakakatamad maglakad. Besides, I would just waste my energy. I’d probably stay here in our suite and sleep or eat my lollipop.

“Okay. Do you want anything?”

“Chocolates”

“Copy. I’ll go now,” he put on his coat and dashed out. Now what am I going to do? This is damn boring. I rested my head in the couch and stared up in the ceiling. This is too boring. Hell.

After a couple of minutes, I stood up and went to the fridge. To my surprise, my chocolate boxes were empty. Darn it. Perhaps I ate the last piece without even noticing it. Ah shit.

I’m too lazy to go out. The hell.

I ended up wearing my black furry coat and walked outside. This is damn too energy conserving. Shit.

Good thing the market was beside our hotel suite. At least I didn’t have to walk that far.

I quickly got loads of chocolate bars, gummy bears and a box of donuts. When I was about to go to the counter, I found a long line consists of 8 students from SMA. Yes. That’s too long for me.

May I remind you that I hate waiting. Definitely.

I sighed. This is serious shit.

I cleared my throat, loud enough to let them hear me. They turned their heads and I gave them my boring look, which doesn’t have any difference with my straight and emotionless face. Seems like they were in a trance and one by one they step aside, making a way for me towards the counter.

The cashier girl was surprised when she saw me. Hindi siya makapagsalita at makagalaw. Probably she was shocked when the students step aside. Stupid.

“Could you do your job? You’re making me wait,” I said irritatedly. Don’t get me wrong. I’m a nice person but I easily get irritated when things aren’t going in my plan. Like this.

“I’m so sorry ma’am. I’m so sorry,” she quickly packed my goods and hand it to me. I gave her my exon buck and let her keep the change. Told you, I’m nice.

I was about to go back to my hotel suite when three girls blocked my way. What is it this time? Nakakainis.

“Siya na ba yun?,” the middle girl that looks like a clown said. Literally, she looks like a clown because of her thick make-up. Could someone tell me why do girls need to wear loads of them? Wag pumilit magmaganda kung hindi kaya.

“Siya nga! Milady. Si Skye Ziel von Einzbern! Yung kaagaw mo!,” the other girl in the side said. Kaagaw? Rival? In what? Chocolates? NO! I’m definitely not going to give them up to them. They’re not worthy of this thing. Mas mahalaga pa ang mga chocolates kesa sa buhay niya.

“So ikaw pala yun,” the middle girl raised her right eyebrow. Could I raise my middle finger too? –chuckles- I’m just joking. I’m not that type. I still have to keep my manners.

She put both of her hands in her waist and looked at me from head to toe. I grinned. Seems like she’s pretty insecure. Poor clown girl.

“I am Ashley Thompson. The President of Prince Eros’ Fansclub. Girl, remember this warning. Stay. Away. From. Him,” the clown said. Yeah, whatever. Boring.

Instead of answering to them, I opened up another chocolate bar and started chewing. They’re talking nonsense shts. Jeez.

I walked past them but she suddenly pulled my hand.

“Wag na wag mo akong tatalikuran! Hindi porket isa kang MA student eh pwede mo na akong ganyanin! You are against the most beautiful soon-to-be princess of Prince Eros. You stupid!”

Now.

This is fvcking annoying.

“Fvcking hell I care,” I retorted back in my calm voice. The hell this girl.

“ You---! You b*tch! Why don’t we just settle this in a fight?!”

I’m too lazy to fight but I can’t let her call me a b*tch. I’m too beautiful for that. A demon goddess would be appropriate.

“Tss”

Suddenly, a girl came rushing into her so called president that looks like a clown.

“Ms. Ashley. Nasa park na po si Prince Eros and Prince Xander. Nag-aantay na din po dun ang iba pa nating mga miyembro pati na rin po ang buong fansclub ni Prince Xander with their president, Ms. Sydney.”

Ashley let out an evil smile. What a creepy clown.

To my surprised, she grabbed one of the plastic bags I’m holding and scattered the gummy bears in the ground.

WHAT. THE. FVCK.

Seriously, I’m fcking pissed. And I fvcking wanna kill her now. Rip her head. Get her heart and spread her blood all over the place. Fvck her.

Ah this is sht.

Poor gummy bears. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.

“Don’t tell me you’re scared?,” she challenged. The hell I would fall for that trap. But who cares? For some reasons, I would like to teach this girl how would she treat an Einzbern and the gummy bears. I would avenge them to this btch.

Sasabihin niyang takot ako sakanya para makipaglaban ako? Ha-ha-ha. Sht.

Besides, I think this is the best time to measure their ability. I heard that this clown girl is part of the top ten. Akalain mo yun? And of course, nandoon sina Eros and Xander. I need to do more research about them.

Without even struggling, we went to the battle ground. The Park. Nakatayo doon ang iba pang miyembro ng grupo nila and other students who are probably members of the other group that worships Xander. The two presidents greeted each other and both glared at me. Interesting. I’ll kill you both in place of my gummy bears.

In the corner, I saw Eros and Xander sitting in a grand chair that you usually see in the palace. Sa magkabila nila ang dalawang babae na nagpapaypay sakanila. Wow. Worship kung worship.

Eros grinned at me. The hell with this guy.

“Shall we start?,” Ashley took off her coat and step into the magic circle. Nagsilayuan na rin ang iba pang miyembro and they gave way to let their two princes watch the movie.

“Aren’t you going to take off your coat? Dahil masisira yan kapag nakipaglaban ka sakin. I won’t take it easy for you,” she said as I step into the magic circle. I just stared at her, waiting for any actions to start the game.

She’s making me wait. Unforgivable.

“Very well then,” she said and gave me a pissed look because I didn’t respond to her. “I’ll show you what a true princess should be.”

Naglabas siya ng higanteng pamaypay. At the end of it were decorated with sharp blades and thousands of needles with poison.

She charged at me, swinging her huge size fan. The strong wind came along with the thousands of needles bathed in stinging poison.

Hands inside my pocket, I dodged every needle rushing to me. Now, I just realized that this is tiring.

According to Oreki Houtarou, If I don’t have to do it, I won’t. If I have to do it, I’ll make it quick.

Did I mention that I’m an otaku? Well yeah. I’m a demon who loves anime.

I’ll just make this quick. Don’t worry gummy bears, this is your revenge.

Just as she was about to throw her fan with blades, mabilis na sumulpot ako sa harap niya na kanyang ikinagulat.

“Don’t mess with me,” I said in my demonic voice. With that, I called out my scythe and torn her fan into pieces. She stopped for a moment, unable to move and call for help.

Everything froze.

And the next thing she knew, she was soaked in her own red blood.

I kept my scythe and walk away. There’s nothing to do here anymore. May you now rest in peace, gummy bears.

Umupo ako sa isang malaking tipak ng bato malapit sa isang ilog. I placed my plastic bags beside the rock and fished a bar of chocolate. Masyadong masakit ang pagkawala ng mga gummy bears ko. That’s why I came here.

If you think that I am over reacting about it, well I’m not. For an only child like me, food is one of the important things I have. They are special kind of friends that’s why I have special kind of love for them. Especially for the chocolates.

Weird? No.

Chocolates give you this extraordinary happiness when you’re sad. They even sacrificed their lives just to make you happy. And when you chew them, you share this special kind of feeling only both of you can have.

Respect chocolate. Respect food.

I stared at the peacful river that reflects the moonlight. I just discovered this place a while ago and thought it was hidden or something but this is the best place to calm your soul.

“Scythe as trademark. As expected from an Einzbern,” a voice said. Hindi ko na kailangan lumingon para makita kung sino yon.

It was Eros. My so ‘handsome’ stalker as they say.

“What do you want?,” I asked without even turning to him. How dare he disturbs my meditation. Darn.

“Visiting my future wife,” he chuckled. I felt him standing beside me, looking intently at the river.

Both of our families were included in the high class. Sorry. I mean highest class. His dad and mine were good friends and business associates in the human world. Eros is probably one of my suitors pero kahit kailan ay hindi ko naramdaman ang presensiya niya. Ni hindi siya nanliligaw sa akin at sa pamilya ko. Actually, this is the first time I met him. I usually see him in pictures and videos dad has given to me.

I remained silent. What does he want from me? I seriously hate his attitude. He makes me intimidated with his overwhelming power like Zeke and Ace. Damn the three of them.

Also, I haven’t forgotten the ‘kissing-nose’ thingy he made in the Alice activity. I seriously want to burst that time and kill him with my own hands but darn! I need to restrain myself.

I did the ‘Keep Calm and Kill Him Inside Your Mind’. It’s effective to calm my raging soul.

I still need to maintain my calm composure until I already have completed the data I needed.

“Wifey,” he called out. Shit. I seriously hate him. We’re not even married and yet he calls me like that. Damn it.

“Have the contract with me,” Eros said in an authorative voice. I almost let out an evil smile but I still managed to hide it. This is getting interesting.

To his surprised, I turned to him and leaned closer until I was able to whisper in his ear.

“I’ll think about it,” with that, I jumped off the rock, got my things and walked out.

Now the vampire wants me. The chess piece is starting to move according to my plan.

After a long walk to my hotel suite, I pulled out my secret chess board that only I can see and play. It is not a simple game, rather the game of life and death.

The chess pieces consist of white and black. The black pieces contains the picture icons of the death reapers, Shontelle, Ayesha, Nerd, Phelestien and other dark sorcery that teams up with them.

The white pieces contains the icons of MA students and teachers, Lord Hales and other white sorcery that teams up with them too.

In the middle of the chess board was a specialized gray Queen chess piece. It has an icon of myself, a demon with a mixture of white and dark sorcery.

I touched the horse with the icon of Eros, the rookie with the icon of Xander. Two touch screens appeared in front of me.

So far, this is all the data I’ve gathered from the both of them.

Xander came from a prestigious family. His parents were killed due to the crime they had been commited. Kaya napunta si Xander sa isang orphanage which is the same orphanage na kinabibilangan ni Tabitha and Ayame. There he stood the leader of the children, quiet but had the dangerous aura. A kid with no friends and kept hiding the loneliness he’d been suffering.

There he met his first friend, Ayame Hitomi. Like him, she was a lonely girl with a thirst of revenge. Eventually they fell in love with each other at young age and was able to fill each other’s emptiness.

But fate was against them that time. Ayame soon learned that the reason why her parents died was because the parents of Xander killed them and that was their crime. Darkness filled her heart and attempted to make avenge. She attempted to kill Xander, but failed because of her love for him. The next day, she moved out of the orphanage with the Hitomi family and never came back for him anymore.

Xander soon was adopted by the Evans family and now he will be the successor of their company. The Evans trained him to be a powerful monster to be able to run their company. In one of their meetings, he met Eros Alastair, the heir of the vampire clan. They made an alliance and became best set of friends ever since.

Eros Alastair is one of the most powerful vampire in their third generation. Most of the vampire society say that he will surpass his Grandfather, the most powerful vampire ever since. It was a smooth life for Eros, he had everything already. The power, the wealth and the attention. But things get rough when Ace became a part of their family.

Due to the vampire council votes, Ace was permitted to battle Eros for the throne. Ace possessed a kind of power which has the same level that Eros have.

The contract that Eros has been offering to me is not only an alliance contract for our family but a marriage contract for both of us. Naniniwala siyang magiging malakas ang alyansang ito lalo na sa digmaang maaaring maganap ngayon.

Now, I think I should probably consider that. Ugh. -_-

Along with The King of Hearts, Zeke Strauss and the King of Clover which is unknown right now, they are the keys to revive the death reapers but the padlock that could seal them away and perish them out of this world.
