Chapter 36

First Trainer

Skye’s POV

“Ms. Skye! Ms. Skye! Bakit ayaw mong lumaban?! Ms. Skye!,” I could hear  Tabitha, screaming in despair.  Tch. I am already itching here to fight this soldier shts beside me but I couldn’t violate those freaking laws by the Higher Council. This is damn frustrating.

“Ms. Skye! Ms. Skye!,” I’m really sorry Tabitha but if I fight right now, I might put all of you into trouble. I’d prefer to face this on my own rather than put all of your lives into stake.

I walked silently, ignoring their desperate cries and shouts. This is the easy way out. I got inside the car and the soldier finally drove me out of the place.

“So this is the demon princess,” the man seating in front of me said. Perhaps he is the captain of this freaking soldiers. Tch. Like the hell I care. “May I know what is running inside of your mind after telling you that your clan would be executed in the next three days?”

I looked at him, poker-faced. So he expects me to cry here? Oh hell please. As if I’m like one of those princesses in fairy tales who would whine over and over again when she was kidnapped by the villains. Hell no. I’m not a damsel in distress please.

“Pardon for my rudeness and disrespect Sir, but I would like to tell you to please just shut the hell up and mind your own business until we get there,” I answered in my most respectful tone. Note the sarcasm will you?

He just laughed and gave me a killer look. Teehee, I won again by making him irritated. I looked out of the window and just waited few hours until we get to the place I’ve known for years.

“Sir, we are now in the Einzbern Estate,” I heard someone said from the window. Instatly, I opened my eyes and the same scenery outside the car greeted me. It hasn’t changed for years. It is still the same.

My home is still the same.

“Shall we?,” the guy in front got out and held his hand to me. I rolled my eyes and pushed his hand away. Oh please, I suck at formality.

I walked away towards the entrance of the mansion, leaving them behind me. They’re going to follow me anyway. Now that I think of it, it’s been quite months since I last saw my parents. I wonder what are they doing right now?

I was definitely surprised when none of the maids nor the butlers greeted me at the entrance. No more ‘Welcome Back, Milady’ from them. Just a soft touch of the breeze coming from the inside brushed through my skin. Where one monster world are they?

“Proceed to the library room, Skye.” The guy ordered me. Seriously, could someone give this man a lesson for ordering me like that? The hell.

In just a matter of seconds, I’m already opening the door of the library room. Emotionless expressions welcomed me, along with our same terrifying aura as the representative of the demon race.

A man in his late 30s had his eye to eye contact with me.

“Dad”

I met again his crimson eyes, an epitomy of bloody death. He just nodded at me and held again his head high, as if everyone in this world should bow down before him.

“Have a sit, Skye. Something should be discussed,” the guy again ordered me while making himself comfortable in a seat across my parents. Another order from him and I’ll kick his ass out of my mansion.

“I’ll get straight to the point, Sir Charles Einzbern. Being the head of the Einzbern clan for years, I supposed you already know the issue we’ve been discussing in the past few months. About your clan being involved at the rising power and economy of the Sirenade Empire and yourself being the spy of our opponent.”

I looked at my Dad, still calm and poker-faced about the thought. It is one of our traits, being expressionless despite of the obstacles we’re facing. This is how we deal with it.

“Now for your punishment, the higher council already closed the final decision that you and your whole clan will be executed in the next three days when the moon shines its brightest. This time, we, the Security and Soldier Government would like you and your clan to come with us in peace. Any form of violence and struggle will send you to your own grave. Am I clear?”

My Dad nodded, without even saying a single word. Guess there’s no reason for me to talk back.

“Any other concerns Mr. Einzbern?”

“If you would allow us to stay in our estate in the next twenty four hours,” Dad’s authorative voice sent chills to my spine. “We would whole-heartedly go with you and do what you would have to say.”

The guy stopped for a moment, thinking of the deal my Dad has offered.

“Very well then, Sir Einzbern. If you wish. But then, my reinforces would surround this place and watch your movements in the next 24 hours. Like what I have said, any suspicious acts will lead towards your death.”

My Dad gave him another single nod.

“I would take my leave now. Enjoy your next 24 hours.” The guy laughed sarcastically but my Dad ignored him. Poor little guy. He left his manners in his own security office.

As soon as the guy left the study room with his two soldiers, Dad held my Mom’s hand and told us we should spend the whole day like a normal family.

“I seriously can’t believe you’re letting this happen.” I told Mom while gazing at the stars in the night sky. My head was resting in my Mom’s lap while she had Dad’s shoulder to lean on. We were at Mom’s favorite garden, lying under the sheet of the starry sky.

“You know the accusations weren’t true, Skye.” Mom sweetly replied while brushing my snow-colored hair. “It is just that, whatever explanation we give to them, they won’t believe us.”

“You could have fought for it,” I retorted.

This time, Dad answered back instead of Mom. “Look, Princess. Whatever explanation you give to those people, if they don’t want to believe you, they won’t listen to your explanation. So why bother defending yourself if at first, you already lose the game?”

“Aren’t you afraid to die?”

“We already made our legacy in this world and I guess by this time, we already completed our mission. And please Skye, Einzberns have nothing to be afraid of,” Dad proudly said. Guess you already know where on earth I got my character.

Silence filled the air. I cannot help but heavily sigh. I’d still want them to fight for their lives. I mean, they’re just throwing it like that without even fighting? How could they? How could they just accept all of this like that? As if like they did nothing?

“Fighting is not the solution to all your problems, dear.” Mom said as if she read my thoughts. “Sometimes, you just need to accept those facts and let it happen. That is life.”

I can’t help but to hug my mom. Perhaps this is because it will be the last time we would spend the day like this, as a normal family. Dad soon followed, wrapping his big hands around the two of us. It seemed like forever. I just hoped that this night wouldn’t end. In my whole existence, this was just one of the best days with my family since we seldom share our time with each other. We barely meet since each of us was busy. But today, it was different. The whole day was ours. We owned it.

“Skye, I want you to promise me one thing,” Dad said after the family hug. “I want you to live.  Live and prove to them that the Einzberns are innocent.”

I saw seriousness in his eyes. “What? What’s the purpose of it if you’re going to die anyway?” I snapped.

Both Dad and Mom didn’t answer.

“No,” I said, firmly. “I’d rather die with you than living lonely in this cruel world.

“You’re not lonely, you have Tabitha and Eusebio. You can live without us,” Dad answered back.

“Just why the hell do you want me to clean up this mess? We could’ve just go somewhere else and hide!”

“It is for your sake, Princess. Running away can’t do you any good. You’re the only one who could face this. Live and clean our clan’s name, Skye. That is my last order.”

“And how do you plan to do that?!” anger filled my voice. How could they leave all this mess to me? “They would hunt me and kill me like they would probably do to you.”

“They cannot kill you.” Dad said. “They would only kill the person who has the Einzbern as a surname.”

Mom held my hand and looked at me in the eyes. “This is for you, Skye.”

“But Mom--!”

“Look, Skye. When midnight strikes at the day our execution will be held, someone will come and help you escape from the council. By that time, I want you to go with him and do whatever he would say.”

“And what will he say?”

“Marry him. That is the only way Skye. If you would be under his protextion, the council cannot kill you just like that. HE will protect you.”

Dad held my hand and put something in it. “Keep this. Promise me that you will live, clear our names and kill the man behind all of this.” He closed my fist.

“Defeat him Skye. Defeat the real enemy.”

I looked at the object in my hand. Then I looked into Dad's eyes. "Will you promise me that?"

 I sighed. Well what can I do?

“I’ll end this. I promise.”

The day of the execution.

Up until now, I am still confused. Many questions circling inside my head. I chose to lay down and looked at the moon shining its bright light from the window of my cell. We were already at the house where they kept the V.I.P. prisoners just like the Einzberns. It’s been awhile since they used this.

I looked at the wall clock and noticed it’s five minutes before midnight. By this time, Mom was already outside, already experiencing the pain of being executed.

I winced at the thought of it. I really, really, really, damn seriously want to go outside there, save my parents and get the hell out of this place. This is freaking annoying.

Who do I always end up in a matter of life and death situation? Why is it always me? I hate it.

The clock struck twelve. My door creaked and a masked person entered.

“It is time, my princess.”

I knew that voice! Seriously? He would go into this trouble just to save me?

He held his hand towards me.

I hesitated. Should I accept it? Or not? Should I just kill myself to end this?

But I promised Dad. Promises should be kept.

“Will you runaway with me, Skye?”

I took his hand and looked into his familiar eyes.

“I will.”

Jenkyl’s POV

“ANO?! Ba’t ngayon mo lang sinabi?!  Hala! Gora na! Ililigtas pa natin si Skye! Chupiii~!” tarantang sabi ni Eusebio na kanina pa pabalik-balik sa loob ng kwarto. Nanatili namang tulala sa kawalan si Tabitha, parang hindi pa rin niya lubos maisip ang nangyayari kay Skye.

"Huli na. Wala na," wala sa sarili niyang bigkas. Parang nawalan siya ng ganang makipag-usap matapos ikwento sa amin ni Eusebio ang mangyayaring pagpatay sa buong angkan ni Skye.

"Hindi pa, Tabitha. We still have our way," napatingin sa akin ang dalawa. "If Ice was here, she would probably barged in there and save our friend no matter how much it would cost that act. Hindi niya pababayaan si Skye ng ganun-ganun lang,"

"Tama si President, girl. Keri pa ito ng powers natin. We can save her! Huwag panghinaan ng loob. Alam mong lahat tayo mawawalan pag namatay si Skye,"  segunda naman ni Sebby.

Unti-unting umangat ng tingin sa akin si Tabitha at maluha-luhang niyakap ako. "Everything would be fine. Everything would be back to normal," pang-aalo ko. Sana nga hindi pa huli ang lahat. Sana mailigtas pa namin si Skye.

"Thank you Ms. President. Thank you," bulong niya.

"Kelan ang alis girl?" tanong ni Sebby. Kumalas ako sa yakap at sinagot sila.

"Mamayang gabi, tapusin lang natin ang plano. We can't just go there without any plan. Mas malalakas ang makakalaban natin."

"Kung ganoon, simulan na natin. Walang oras na dapat sayangin," determinadong sabi ni Tabitha.

Nagulat kami nang biglang bumukas ang pinto. I thought it was Secretary Reodica. Kinabahan ako dahil baka narinig niya ang pagsalungat sa desisyon ng council at ang pagtulong sa mga criminal na sangkot dito. Pumasok si Ayame, Shikuri,Yuuki at Kaguya na pawang hindi makatingin ng diretso sa amin.

"Narinig namin ang sinabi niyo," paninimula ni Ayame. "We would like to help."

"Wala namang kasalanan si Skye-neechan. We should help her to clear her name. Tsaka namimiss ko na siya pati ang chocolates niya. Count me in!" ganado namang sabi ni Yuuki.

"It is actually a disgrace in my family na lumabag sa kahit anong batas. Pero napamahal na rin ako sainyo and I want to help. You can't go without someone backing you up from here," sabi naman ni Kaguya.

"We could serve as the watchers to hide you from Secretary Reodica. Kami na bahala dito sa academy," pagtatapos ni Shikuri.

Hindi na napigilan ni Tabitha ang sarili at umiyak sa harapan namin. Isa-isa niya kaming niyakap at walang tigil ang pasasalamat.

"Ano ka ba girl, stop crying na! Naiiyak na rin ang beauty ko," natatawang sabi ni Sebby habang pinapahid ang luhang kumawala sa kanyang mga mata. "Diba that's what friends are for? Nagtutulungan? So cheer up na mga bakla! Malalagpasan din natin to! Tiwala lang! Kumbaya!"

Natawa kami sa sinabi ni Sebby but he's right. Friends help each other. They are like family. Kaya nga walang iwanan eh.

Sa huli, we ended everything in a tight group hug.

Papaalis pa lang kami ng Monster Academy para iligtas si Skye sa kamay ng Higher Council nang isang di inaasahang balita ang bumungad sa amin.

Skye was gone.

Dalawang araw na ang nakalipas nang mangyari ang insidente, parang nawala kami sa sarili. Walang balita sa nawalang Skye Ziel von Einzbern. Ipinaghahanap pa din siya ng Council pero wala man lang kahit isang bagay na makapagtuturo kung nasaan siya.

Wala. Parang naglaho na parang bula.

Napagdesisyunan na lang namin na hindi na ito pag-usapan dahil sobra ang impact nito kay Eusebio, lalo na kay Tabitha na bihira lang magsalita simula nang mabalitaan niya iyon.

Minabuti na lang namin na patayin ang usapan para walang masaktan.

"I want you to meet your first trainer," pagdedemo ni Secretary Reodica habang naglalakad kami sa hallway papunta sa battlefield. Ito na nga pala ang sinasabi ni Secretary na ihihiwalay kami sa iba pa namin classmates upang matrain ang apat na hari kasama na rin kami. Dahil sa sinasabing kami ang magiging major squad para mapigilan ang dark reapers, kailangan naming matutunan ang kanilang mga kahinaan.

"If I were you, I would show my strength already. She's not your ordinary trainer," pagbabanta pa ni Ms. Reodica. Sino kaya yun? Gaano kaya siya kalakas?

Isang arch-like door ang sumalubong sa dulo ng hallway. Dahan-dahan itong binuksan ni Secretary Reodica.

Isang upuan na nakalagay sa gitna ang nakita namin. Nandito na rin ang isang lalaking nakaupo habang may pinaglalaruan na isang kutsilyo. Nagulat ako ng bigla niya itong ibinato at halos matamaan si Eusebio sa mukha. Bumaon ito sa pintuan at isang ngiti ang namuo sa labi ng lalaki.

"Good morning students," he grinned like there's something unusual is going to happen. "Trainer at your service."

Ang lalaking ito! Hindi ako pwedeng magkamali. Isa sa mga itinuturing na pinakamalakas!

Napatingin ako kay Eros at Ace na nanlalaki ang mga mata. Malamang ay nagulat din sila sa nakita.

"Lyre Alastair, head of the vampire clan. Eros and Ace's father. It is your honor to meet me," he laughed sarcastically. He's amused by the fact he would train his two sons along with the other kings. Isang nakakatakot na aura ang aming naramdaman sa loob ng kwarto.

Sa isang iglap ay nakapaglabas ulit ito ng kutsilyo at kanyang pinaglaruan. "For now, I would like to introduce to you my apprentice. Say hello to your OLD friend."

Lalong lumawak ang kanyang ngiti.

And the next thing I knew, Tabitha was in shock.

"Ms. Skye"

Tagal ng UD. Tinatamad na. Wala nang inspirasyon. </3 Hindi na nag-eenjoy.
Baka hindi ko matapos sa December 22, 2013. Akala ko kasi hayahay na sa eskwelahan namin eh. Ampness, tinadtad kami kaya yun, mahirap magUD. Pasensya na. Tas ang hirap magsulat pag alam mo na, hindi na nakakaenjoy yung pagsusulat tsaka walang inspirasyon.

So yeah, salamat pa rin sa patuloy na suporta. Kayo na lang ngayon ang dahilan kung bakit ako nagsusulat. Sana bumalik ulit yung dati kong saya sa pagsusulat ng MA.
