It was silence as they walked along, the group had caught up with the couple but didn't say a word when they noticed the stained cheeks where tears had been, but they took note of how they had acted when Mephilies said it would be impossible to get the prince back, and it was rare that Zonic would put anything aside for a lost cause...even then he'd never done that

so this was new for all of them

"So uhh, what got you both worked up eairlier?" Silver mumbled, he was still given sceptical looks, but the girl, Tikal had said they could trust him, Scourge glanced at him and then back at Zonic who only shook his head

"I don't want to talk about it..." Was all he said as they continued

"Well the king has spoken" Scourge joked as he gave a small grin, Zonic rolled his eyes, but couldn't help but smile a bit 

"Your never going to stop with that are you?" Zonic chuckled

"Hmm let me think about that...Nope" Scourge's grin widened as Zonic just started laughing

"King...?" Silver was only left confused

"It's a nickname that Scourge gave him" Shadow answered "You'll get used to the things they call each other, besides their married"

"Damn Right we are!" Scourge grinned as Zonic's cheeks reddened "No way in a million years would i let someone else have him!"

"You'll never get tired of saying that, would you?" Zonic rolled his eyes with a small smile

"Never~ Your my destiny~ My fate~" The smirk on Scourge's face just made Zonic's face go redder and redder as he tried his best to cover it as Scourge chuckled

"okay love birds, lets keep it moving" Knuckles rolled his eyes

"Your just jealous that Rouge flirts with everyone" Scourge retorted, Knuckles cheeks went red as he glared at the green hedgehog, Shadow just sighed as they kept going

Days had passed and they had made it too the edge of the dark forest, they were silent as they stared into it's depths, only to be greeted with thick fog and decaying plants Mephilies was the quietest of all as he stared longingly inside, only Scourge seemed to notice as they then took their first steps towards the forest

"Are we sure this is the place?" Silver frowned

"This is the place" Mephilies answered as he lead the way as if on instinct 

"How do you know where your going?" Shadow rose a brow

"It was his kingdom before his sister over threw him" Scourge answered without hesitation, everyone froze, aside from Zonic who seemed to have heard this before, but Mephilies was frozen still, unable to move or even turn to face Scourge

"How do you know that?" Mephilies voice echoed 

"My father told me' Scourge shrugged "he was never one to lie, said she took over three hundred thousand years ago, oh mighty god of the dark forest" a smirk appeared on Scourge's face as he then began walking again 'Come on we don't have all day" but before he could go a step further he was knocked back and sent flying into a tree

Scourge winced as Zonic immediately went over to him

"You idiot!' Zonic glared at him as he helped his husband up, while everyone else got ready for a fight but was greeted with a ghostly shadow

"State your business or leave" the voice was a dark whisper, one that sent chills down their spines, Zonic's expression turned blank as he locked eyes with the creature

"We're here to make a deal" He answered as he helped Scourge stand, the creature seemed to nod and disappear, moments later a path cleared through the fog

"We aren't here to make a deal" Knuckles glared at Zonic

"You might not be here for a deal..." Zonic spoke as he looked towards the red echidna "But we am" and without another word said he and Scourge began walking through the bath that revealed itself
