Post-Battle Debriefing
The moment I stepped into the mansion, I could tell Dad was already waiting for me. The grand foyer was as lavish as ever, with chandeliers casting a warm, golden glow over the marble floors. But it wasn't the luxury that caught my attention—it was the faint scent of my father's favorite cologne lingering in the air, a sure sign that he was nearby, eagerly anticipating my return which he usually does but not this way.
He's going to want every detail, I thought, smirking to myself as I headed toward the drawing room.
As I entered, there he was, seated in a plush armchair, a glass of vintage scotch in hand. His eyes lit up when he saw me, the faintest hint of a grin tugging at the corners of his mouth.
All for One: Izuku, my boy! Welcome back. So, how was your first real encounter with All Might? I trust it was... enlightening?
He motioned for me to sit across from him, and I did, letting out a dramatic sigh as I sank into the leather armchair.
Oh, he's going to love this.
Me: You could say that, Dad. Let's just say, I had to get a little creative. The old man is tough, but he's not invincible—not when you've got the right tools and the brains to use them.
Dad leaned forward, his interest piqued, eyes gleaming with pride and curiosity.
All for One: Spare no details, Izuku. How did you handle him? Did he underestimate you?
I couldn't help but grin.
Oh, this is going to be fun.
Me: He came at me like a freight train—no finesse, just brute force. Typical hero nonsense. So, I made sure to keep him on his toes. A bit of tech here, a few strategic dodges there, and of course, I couldn't resist throwing some cash at him—literally. You should've seen his face when yen bills started fluttering around him. It was priceless.
Dad burst out laughing, a deep, rich sound that echoed through the room.
All for One: Oh, that's brilliant, Izuku! Throwing money at the so-called 'Symbol of Peace.' I can't imagine a more fitting response. And how did he take it?
Me: He tried to play it off, but I could tell it got under his skin. He's not used to being outmaneuvered. When I finally got the upper hand, I could see it in his eyes—he knew he'd lost. The best part? I didn't even break a sweat.
All for One sat back, a satisfied smile on his face, as if savoring every word.
He's loving this.
And why wouldn't he?
All for One: You've made me proud, my son. Outthinking All Might, using your intelligence and resources to take him down—this is exactly what I knew you were capable of. The world may see him as a hero, but we know the truth, don't we? Money and brains will always triumph over brute strength.
I nodded, feeling a swell of pride in my chest.
Damn right, they do.
But before I could bask in the moment, Kurogiri appeared in the doorway, holding a letter. The butler's stiff demeanor gave way to a slight bow as he approached.
Kurogiri: A letter has arrived for you, young master. From Principal Nezu of U.A.
Nezu?
Now, this is interesting.
I took the letter, glancing at the neat, almost too-precise handwriting on the envelope. Breaking the seal, I pulled out the letter and quickly scanned it.
Me: It seems Nezu wants a private chat tomorrow morning before class. No doubt he's curious about today's events.
Dad's expression shifted slightly, a more calculating look crossing his face.
He's thinking two steps ahead, as usual.
All for One: Nezu, hmm? That rat is clever, I'll give him that. But remember, Izuku, if he even thinks about pulling something underhanded, you let me know. I have ways of ensuring he understands his place.
There was a subtle, menacing undertone to his words, the kind that made it clear he wasn't just offering fatherly advice—he was making a promise. A promise that if Nezu crossed a line, the consequences would be catastrophic.
Me: Don't worry, Dad. I'll handle him. But if he does step out of line, I'll be sure to call you in. Though, something tells me he's more interested in seeing what I'm capable of. After all, I did just beat his precious All Might.
Dad chuckled, clearly relishing the thought.
All for One: Of course, Izuku. But remember, while intelligence and money are our greatest assets, power—true power—lies in knowing when to strike and when to hold back. Nezu might think he's playing a game, but we're the ones who hold the winning hand.... and if anything, we can still try to buy UA.
I nodded, feeling the weight of his words.
He's right.
As always.
Me: And I intend to play that hand to perfection. Tomorrow, I'll show Nezu just what kind of game he's dealing with.
Dad raised his glass in a toast, a sly grin on his face. This has become some sort of habbit by now but I was enjoying it. A toast was a toast and if you could do it more than once, why not? He had some expesive champagne and I had some apple juice from the most expensive apples which are handpicked in the moonlight. The best out of the best.
All for One: To victory, Izuku. And to the world that will soon bow before your brilliance.
I clinked my glass against his, feeling the warmth of the scotch as it slid down my throat.
Me: To victory, Dad. And to a world where money, brains, and a bit of well-placed power make all the difference.
We both sat back, content, as Kurogiri brought in our massages for the evening. As skilled hands began to work out the tension in my muscles, I couldn't help but think about what tomorrow would bring.
Nezu wants to talk?
Fine.
Let him try.
But he'll soon learn that playing games with me—well, that's a game he's destined to lose.
And as I drifted off into a state of relaxation where I even fell asleep. This was bliss, my life was just simply perfect.
