The Long Night of Planning
Back in the sanctuary of my room, I locked the door and collapsed into my chair, spinning slightly as my mind churned through the overwhelming puzzle in front of me. The screens on my custom-built computer flared to life as I pulled up files, reports, and detailed summaries of every member of the League of Villains who was currently in the UA Villain Rehabilitation Program.
Each profile glared at me from the monitors, their faces frozen in mid-action. My League. My dysfunctional family. They trusted me—sometimes more than they trusted themselves. It was up to me to make sure they didn't just survive this upcoming event. They had to dominate it.
Tomura Shigaraki
Quirk: Decay
Strengths: High offensive potential, strategic thinker, unpredictable.
Weaknesses: Physical endurance, emotional volatility.
I leaned forward, staring at Tomura's profile. He'd come a long way since our first meeting, but there was still so much work to do. His quirk had incredible potential, but it was limited by his own fears and trauma. Decay was a power that demanded precision. One mistake, and it could cause catastrophic collateral damage—not just to others, but to himself.
"What do I do with you, Tomura?" I murmured.
He had leadership qualities, even if he didn't see it in himself. The others naturally gravitated toward him, but his temper had always been his Achilles' heel. I'd have to push him to see his quirk as a tool of precision rather than destruction.
Dabi
Quirk: Cremation
Strengths: Long-range attacks, high heat output, resilience.
Weaknesses: Overuse burns his body, limited stamina.
Dabi was a walking inferno of untapped potential. His quirk made him one of the most powerful in the League, but his recklessness and apathy kept him from reaching his peak. He treated life like a game he'd already lost, and that mentality held him back more than the physical toll of his quirk.
I drummed my fingers on the desk. Dabi needed discipline. He needed to think about his attacks not as raw displays of power, but as calculated moves in a larger strategy.
Himiko Toga
Quirk: Transform
Strengths: Espionage, adaptability, hand-to-hand combat.
Weaknesses: Dependency on blood, impulsiveness.
Toga's abilities were terrifyingly versatile, but her unpredictability made her a double-edged sword. She thrived in chaos, but chaos wasn't what we needed right now. For the event, she had to play to her strengths—subtlety and precision. No wild outbursts or improvisation.
I sighed, already anticipating the pushback I'd get from her. Convincing her to rein in her impulses was going to be a challenge.
Kurogiri
Quirk: Warp Gate
Strengths: Mobility, team support, calm demeanor.
Weaknesses: Defensive capabilities, reliance on others.
Kurogiri was the backbone of the League, and he knew it. His quirk was invaluable for mobility and coordination, but he lacked offensive capabilities. For this event, he'd need to focus on supporting the others while finding creative ways to make himself an asset on the field.
I pulled up a blank document and began typing, my thoughts flowing faster than my fingers could keep up.
Step 1: Address Their Weaknesses
I listed out each member's vulnerabilities. Tomura needed more emotional control and physical endurance. Dabi had to refine his quirk usage to avoid self-destruction. Toga had to focus on discipline and strategy. Kurogiri needed to become more than just a support player—he had to learn to think offensively.
Step 2: Enhance Their Strengths
I outlined training regimens tailored to each of them. Tomura would practice precise applications of Decay, starting with small objects and working his way up. Dabi would train with controlled flames, learning to maintain high heat output without overexerting himself. Toga would undergo stealth and espionage drills, focusing on infiltration and reconnaissance. Kurogiri would work on combining his quirk with the others in creative ways.
Step 3: Team Dynamics
The League had always operated like a pack of lone wolves, each member doing their own thing. For this event, that wouldn't work. They had to function as a cohesive unit. I'd set up scenarios where they'd have to rely on each other to succeed—forced collaboration to build trust and coordination.
Step 4: Psychological Preparation
This was the hardest part. The League wasn't just a group of people with quirks; they were people with baggage, scars, and trauma. I'd have to find a way to motivate them, to make them see this event as more than just a test. It was a chance to prove themselves—not just to society, but to themselves.
I glanced at the clock. It was past midnight, but that didn't matter. I pulled out my phone and began dialing.
The first call was to Tomura. He picked up after the third ring, his voice groggy.
"What do you want, Izuku?"
"Wake up. We need to talk."
"You're kidding me—"
"I'm not. Meet me tomorrow after school. This is important."
Next was Dabi. As expected, he didn't pick up, so I left a message. "Dabi, it's me. Don't ignore this. We're meeting tomorrow. No excuses."
Toga answered immediately, her voice chipper despite the late hour. "Izuku! What's up?"
"We need to talk strategy. Tomorrow. Be there."
"Ooh, mysterious! I'm in."
Kurogiri didn't answer, but I knew he'd show up. He always did.
By the time I finished typing out the last details of the plan, the sun was beginning to rise. My eyes burned from the strain, but I didn't care. This wasn't just about the event. It was about proving that the League could be more than what people thought they were.
If Nezu wanted a spectacle, we'd give him one. But it wouldn't just be a show of power. It would be a statement.
I leaned back in my chair, cracking my knuckles as I surveyed my work. The League wasn't ready yet, but they would be. I'd make sure of it.
"Time to wake them up," I muttered, a grin spreading across my face. "Whether they like it or not."
