tyler sits alone in his room, scrolling through instagram. he hadn't spoken to josh much since their little encounter, the two just exchanged knowing smiles when passing by each other. none of the girls had said a word about that night, leading tyler to think they had absolutely no idea.

it was a relief but also a disappointment. he was glad none of the girls were upset with him or jealous of him, but maybe he kind of wanted them to be. maybe he wanted them to know all of the sweet things josh said to him.

except jenna, maybe. tyler still doesn't know how to feel about her. she's gorgeous and flirts with him relentlessly, but tyler isn't so sure if he wants that anymore. in all honesty, he just wants josh. he wants to serve josh, please josh, and keep josh happy.

the door opens, breaking tyler from his thoughts. speaking of the devil...

"hey ty, this is felix," josh says, acknowledging the man standing beside him.

he's blonde and rather tall, a charming smile etched on his lips. "hello, nice to meet you," he says, a faint accent peeking through.

"hi," tyler responds, offering a smile.

"felix is your new assigned bodyguard."

"what happened to mikey?" tyler asks. he had just started to get to know him.

"i don't believe that's any of your business," josh raises an eyebrow.

"right, right," tyler says quickly, gulping as he allows his eyes to trail down josh's body.

"felix and i have known each other since we were fifteen. i promise you he's ten times better than mikey. he'll also be staying at the house, so you two will have plenty of time to get to know each other," josh says, smirking as he notices tyler's wandering eyes.

"okay," the brunette says, glancing back up. the expression on josh's face is enough to make his dick twitch. "cool..."

"now i have shit i have to do. i'll be in my office if you need me," he says, probably aiming his comment more at tyler than felix. "but if you hear any yelling, don't worry and don't come in."

felix and tyler nod. josh leaves and starts down the hallway, leaving the two alone. he takes this moment to examine felix. he's certainly handsome, just not tyler's type.

"so what's up with the accent?" tyler asks as felix sits in a chair beside his bed.

"i'm from sweden," felix chuckles. "i moved here when i was fifteen, then moved back after high school. i've been back in america for about two years now, though."

"oh," tyler hums. "how long have you been working for josh?"

"that's why i moved back, actually. he asked me to help secure his home, and then put me on guard duty at the gate. after that, though, he assigned me to debby. i'm not sure why he switched me. i'm not supposed to ask questions," he shrugs, unbothered.

but tyler is definitely bothered. he wants to know why josh moved his most trusted bodyguard from his bottom to his most recent recruit. he wants to know if debby knows. he has so many questions and yet no answers.

"i wonder why," tyler voices. "do you know if mikey is her bodyguard now?"

"i'm not sure, i haven't seen him around to ask," felix says, picking at a thread on tyler's blanket. "but since i have a feeling we're going to be with each other a lot, tell me a bit about yourself."

"oh, god. well, there really isn't anything to tell..."

"certainly you can start with your relationship with josh," the man grins.

"what?" tyler exclaims, his eyes widening. "what are you talking about? we don't have a relationship."

"not yet, maybe," felix laughs. "i already know, tyler. he told me everything and more. plus, i saw the way you guys were looking at each other."

"what did he tell you?" tyler asks, leaning in close. "did he say he likes me? did he say he hates me? tell meee."

"i can't," felix teases. "all i can say is there's definitely something sparking between you two, and i don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing."

"why would it be bad?"

"i don't know, tyler, it's just... josh is committed to this life. don't tell him i said this, but he's money hungry. if you two were to start something serious, i doubt he would give all of this up."

tyler is quiet as he ponders that. felix is probably right. tyler and josh will never be anything serious, and if by some miracle they do, josh is still going to be a pimp and tyler is just going to be some prostitute. he frowns at that, noticing felix watching him.

"you really think so?"

"well, i don't know," felix says quickly. "i'm sorry, i didn't mean to upset you. maybe not, i don't know for sure. it's just a possibility, and you need to be aware of it."

"yeah, tha-"

tyler is cut off by screams echoing down the hall. he can make out one voice to be josh, but he's unsure of the other. it's a female, for sure, but she's crying so hard tyler can't tell who it is.

"oooh, drama," felix sing-songs, waving his hands around.

tyler chuckles, listening intently. he can't make out any words, aside from cusses. "who's he yelling at?"

"not sure. it sounds like debby to me."

tyler gets up and presses his ear against the door, hearing the voices more clearly. felix is right, it's definitely debby. the last thing tyler hears is "you can't do this" before the yelling ceases. he turns back to felix, giving him an oh shit look.

"well, damn," felix says, waving his hand. "come sit back down. i have a feeling josh is going to come down here soon."

tyler nods, scurrying back to his bed and laying on it face down. he swings his legs in the air, resting his chin on his hands. "i want to know what happened."

"me too, but don't ask. we can figure it out on our own," felix winks, making tyler smile.

"i think you and i are gonna be great friends," tyler says.

"who ever said i like you?"

"what?"

"just kidding," felix laughs, ruffling the younger boy's hair. "you know, i-"

this time, felix is cut off. the bedroom door swings open so hard that it slams against the wall, making tyler jump. their heads snap to the doorway, finding josh. he looks rather pissed.

"felix, out. now."

"talk to you later, tyler," felix says quickly, rushing out the door. josh shuts it behind him, locking it shut.

"did i do something wrong?" tyler asks, not moving from his spot on the bed. then he remembers that he's not supposed to ask questions. "shit, never mind, sorry."

"no, you didn't," josh says, taking a deep breath. any trace of anger previously lingering is now gone, and that same stoic look returns. "just sit up."

tyler does as he's told, sitting criss-cross on the bed. his heart is racing, wondering what josh is going to do to him. the man joins him on the bed, sitting with his back against the headboard.

"come here," he says, patting his lap.

tyler obeys, sitting with either leg on each side of josh's thighs. josh's lips twitch in the slightest as his hands come to rest on tyler's hips.

"what-"

"shh, no questions," josh murmurs, squeezing his hips. "kiss me."

well, tyler certainly isn't going to pass up that opportunity. he leans in, his lips meeting josh's. they mold into each other, tyler's arms around josh's neck and josh's around tyler's waist. they start out slow, relishing in each other for not having kissed nor touched in almost three days.

tyler can't help himself. he rolls his hips against josh's, whining softly. josh chuckles against his lips, holding the boy's hips in place as the kiss grows more heated. they stay that way for quite some time, making out while tyler desperately tries to relieve himself but josh not quite letting him.

finally, josh pulls away, licking his lips. neither speak, just gaze into each other's eyes longingly. tyler goes to say something, but josh pulls him into his chest, hugging him tightly. the brunette is a bit startled, but hugs back nonetheless.

"are you alright, daddy?" he asks softly, fearing debby deeply upset josh.

"i'm fine, hon, don't worry about me. everything will work out in the end. greater things are coming."
