How many years had passed?

It was difficult to track time and I was already used to Heaven and Humility. The world was changing rapidly and I was changing along with it. Humility taught me new things whenever she came back from earth and I was soaking up all the knowledge easily since pain and exhaustion were not part of me anymore.

But it did not mean my mind was unable to be weighed down with worries.

Was Jin suffering still suffering in the other place? After he lost his battle, I had no ways of knowing how he was doing. His presence was lost but his thoughts were always with me.

Humility told me to forget about him but he was a huge part of my last life. The life she said I would remember very clearly. How could I forget him then?

"You're finally getting a new friend, Bada."

I stared at Humility in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Let's go," she cheered and teleported us to a garden. "Here she comes!"

A woman with long brown hair and lacy plain white dress appeared before my eyes. She suddenly gasped and heaved heavy breaths before sitting up in panic and looking between Humility and I with shaking eyes. Her gaze was filled with fear and terror as if she was...

"W-Where am I?" Her voice was shaking as well, on the verge of crying.

"You're in Heaven," Humility said, extending a hand for her to take. "There's no need to fear now. You're in a good place."

After standing up, the woman covered her face with her hands and mumbled, "I'm dead... So he really did kill me... How could he do this to me after telling me he loves me...?"

It sounded like she was murdered... by someone who loved her? I could not be sure. Just that she was murdered like me.

"You'll be one of the Seven Heavenly Virtues," Humility said, wasting no time. "Your pure heart is definitely a precious treasure for us."

Wait, she was going to be a Virtue like me?

I stared at her appearance more in detail. Small long eyes with soft gaze and small nose and lips with oval face held elegance and affectionate feel. How fitting for a Heavenly being.

"This is the Virtue of Temperance." Humility gestured to me and I nodded when her eyes drifted to settle on me. "You're the second one to come to Heaven for the new group of Virtues."

"I'm Bada," I introduced myself, "and you are?"

She blinked, taken aback by the situation. "J-Jieun... But what do you mean by 'Heavenly Virtues'? What am I supposed to do? I thought I would be gone after dying."

Humility sighed deeply, looking at the ground. "Another clueless girl... I have a lot to teach again."

I could not help but chuckle. This must had been how I looked like when I first arrived in Heaven. Now I was knowledgeable enough to help Humility teach the newcomer.

God informed us that she would become Chastity.

"Let's get to know each other more," Jieun said after a few days of getting used to the place. "I used to work at a small school to take care of children. I really loved children! If I became a mother, I would have..."

She suddenly grew silent, staring at the ground before smiling and shaking her head. "Never mind. What about you two?"

Of course, being a mother was impossible for her now. Seeing how she was looking forward to it before, I felt bad for her.

"My identity is a secret," Humility giggled. "I'm sure you're very interested but you should see me as a Heaven being and nothing more or less."

I glanced at her with disappointment before introducing myself. "I'm- I was a princess of the kingdom of Leovalon. Name is Bada."

Jieun's eyes lit up. "Oh! That's so interesting! Then did you become queen?"

I smiled bitterly. "No. I was killed in a rebellion the day before my marriage."

She turned silent again before smiling softly. "I'm not married, either. That makes the two of us, huh?"

I returned her smile. "Yes."

Contrary to my beliefs, Jieun, as a commoner, was a presence I really needed. She was soft but not spineless, talkative but not overbearing. Most of all, she was going to be a Virtue like me, so it felt like I was gaining a new friend.

We spent our time together just talking about anything, and with Humility, learned new things about Virtues and Heaven.

"It would be nice if there was a sea," I blurted my thought out loud, being so comfortable around Jieun.

"You like the sea? Well, your name clearly says that," she chuckled. "I heard we'll get our own places when we actually become Virtues, so yours could be a seaside castle!"

I beamed, excited about the idea. "Sounds amazing! I'll definitely do that."

Our days were peaceful.

Then, after many years passed in the blink of an eye, a new face appeared.

A man who had crazed eyes.

The man who would lead the Heavenly Virtues.
