Everyone cheers as I beat Max in another round of Ultimate Mecha Strike III. "Always the best, huh?"

I chuckle. No one had ever beaten me in the game, my high score is five-thousand. "You're right about that."

Adrien takes the controller away from me, wanting to play against Max. I don't look him in the eye and take a seat to watch.

Argh, what is wrong with me? We haven't talked in a week! Not even as Tundra and Cat Noir!

I really need to get my act together and talk to him. I ruined everything with my anxious outburst that left me running out after defeating the Horrificator.

I smile when Adrien wins against Max, but it means Max won't be able to compete. I see Adrien take a glance at me, looking away sadly.

Fudge, I really messed things up for him. I get taken from my thoughts when Marinette tried out, winning against Max.

I stand up abruptly. Wha-what? She just won against Max, that means he really won't be competing.

"I accept my defeat. I relinquish my position in the tournament," Max says before storming out.

I get slightly angry at Marinette. "Are you serious, Mari? Max trained all year for that!" I take a deep breath and back down.

"I'm sorry, but if Max isn't competing, neither am I," I conclude, pushing away my joypad Adrian went to give me.

"(Y/n), you can't," Adrien says, grabbing my hand. I gasp and pull it from his grasp.

(Y/n), get yourself under control.
Max was a gamer like me. Hell, he was like a gaming brother. We both trained all year for the tournament, and with him knocked off the winning board, I can't compete without him.

"It's final," I give Adrien a sad look. "Adrien and Marinette will represent the school, not Max and I."

I stomp out of the library and rest against the wall, gaining my breath to calm down. Why am I acting this way? I mean, I get I'm angry about Max not doing the competition, but when Mari won I became furious!

I must be jealous? I ruined thing with me and Cat Noir, or should I call him Adrien now?

I groan, running my hands through my hair as Adrien walks out. "Hey, I'm sorry about kicking Max off the competition."

"It's fine," I say through clenched teeth. "I just need space."

He grabs me again. "Please, can we talk? Ever since I showed you who I really am, you-you pushed me away."

His voice was so sad. I was hurting him. "I-I need space." Stupid, stupid, stupid. Of course, I just walked away.

Cube flew out from his hiding place. "(Y/n), you're going to need to talk to him." Ugh, come on, Cube, you too?

"I will, just leave it alone," I growl, putting him back away.
"que vais-je faire," I ask myself.

As I get home I hear laser-like sounds coming from outside. I run out to check and get sucked into a triangular-shaped object.

"Woah, what's happening," I scream and fall into a see-through box.
"Oh, my precious teammate, we're getting back at all the people who took out spots. We deserve to be at the top, not them."

He cackles and I recognize the voice. It's Max, he's been akumatized! I hear him mumble and get thrown around as he chases Marinette.

"Max, snap out of it!" I get thrown back as we topple over. Max zaps one more thing and his robot transforms into level three.

"Max, stop, this isn't good," I plead but he doesn't listen. I continue to fly around in the box as we chase both Ladybug and Cat Noir into the stadium.

Their weapons do nothing against the reinforced robot. "Cataclysm," Cat Noir shouts, using his powers on the robot, destroying it.

I yelp, falling onto the ground.
"He's taken, (Y/n)!" I look up and see Cat Noir, or Adrien, pointing to me.

"Look what you did," Max shouts at them. "You've hurt my teammate!"

Um, hello, not really. I am Tundra, you know.
Max re-spawns and Ladybug and Cat get their own robot.

"Wings out," I shout while the others are occupied. They fight, shouting different moves before attacking each other.

Ah, the gamer life, am I right?
I fly between them, stopping the fight.
"You know, I love a good game, but this needs to stop!"

"Get out of the way," Adrien shouts from their robot. I was way smaller than them so it hurt my ears.

Like damn, quiet.
I get totally dissed as they continue to fight. "Tundra, take my spot."

I scrunch up my eyebrows, but hop into the spot in the robot nonetheless. "Hey, look, I'm really sorry."

I hold Max's robot in place with the controls. "Yeah, me too. I realized that I overreacted, but it was a lot at the moment."

He helps me. "I get that, and I hope everything goes back to normal, it sucked not talking to you..." he mumbled something at the end.

My mood instantly rose at his words. "Yeah, but I didn't hear the end, what did you say?"

Did the cat get his tongue? Must've.
"I said, I missed kissing you," he admitted. I climbed over to him and attached my lips to his, cherishing the feeling.

Damn, what was I thinking? I'm really stupid for overreacting.
He kisses back as our robots disappears, leaving us falling through the air. I catch myself with my wings, wincing when Cat hits the floor.

Ladybug de-evilizes the Akuma. She smiles and walks over to us. "Where did (Y/n) go?" I freeze. Crap, I totally forgot. "Um, s-she's safe."

She gives me a quizzical look but nods, jumping away. Adrien de-transforms at the same time as I. "The tournament," I shout, realizing it last minutes.

"Wait," he pulls me back. He must really like pulling, the boy keeps pulling me. "I want you to take my spot in the tournament."

"A-are you sure?" He grabs me and kisses me, holding my waist safely. "Yes." I smile and tug his arm as everyone gather for the tournament.

Max runs over to me. "Guess what?" I pull back and chuckle at his excitement.

Wait, what happened to sad Max?
"What?"
"I get to play! Marinette gave me her spot!" My eyes widen. Mari, really does have a sweet and caring heart. Adrien grasp my hand. "He gave me his spot, too."

"Then, let's show 'em who's gold."
