Delilah

I yawned as I stood from my bed, turning off my alarm clock. God damn, I hate waking up so early.

I put on some black skinny jeans and a blouse, with a blazer type jacket. I put my hair in a bun and do light makeup, deciding it's good enough before slipping on some heels and grabbing an apple for breakfast.

It feels weird and incredibly boring not having Luke around to keep me company. I hope he's ok.

"Morning mr. mako. Here's your coffee." I say politely as I smile at the man. He's not too horrible, but he's a little flirty, and a bit unreasonable with his expectations of everyone.

"Thank you, Delilah. How are this fine noon?"

"Not too bad. I should probably get back to my paperwork though."

"Don't worry about it! I'd like to speak to you."

"I'd really like to get my work done as soon as possible, I have responsibilities after work as well, if you don't mind, sir."

"If you say so." He sighs. I walk away, rolling my eyes as I go back to my office.

I pull out my phone before I start working again and text Luke, asking what he's been up to.

Luke

I walk around the mall, trailing behind the boys as we talk about michaels "dumbass hot stepmom" and calums new dog and whatever else comes up.

"Hey luke, where've you been, anyway?" Ashton asks, and I can't help but smile.

"Ooh, yeah, where have you been, Lukey boy?" Mikey teases.

"Uh, just... well... um..."

"I told you so." Michael whispers to calum.

"Not so fast! I don't owe you anything until he admits it."

"Fine. Luke it's a girl, yeah?"

They all look at me expectantly and I chuckle, rubbing the back of my neck.

"You guys made a bet on me?"

"Answer the question Lucifer."

"Well uh, yeah." I laugh nervously. Ashton applauds, smirking at me. And calum groans as he hands mike $5.

"My love life is only worth $5 to you?" I scoff.

"Cmon, who is she? Where'd you meet her?"

"It doesn't matter, nothing's really happened yet."

"But you like her?"

I chuckle and nod.

"What's her name?"

"Delilah."

"Does she go to our school?"

"No. She's an intern."

"Ooh. She's older." I roll my eyes at mike.

"Barely."

"Is she into you?"

"Of course she is! They've been hanging out everyday for a week!" Ashton answers Calum.

"Yeah. I mean, I don't know, I think so."

"Nice bro. Is she hot?"

"I mean, yeah, she's gorgeous." I exclaim, smiling.

"When can we meet her?"

"Why would I want her meeting you just when I think she's starting to like me? Might ruin my chances." I tease Ashton.

He chuckles and shakes his head. We head to the food court and and sit down to eat as we talk.

Bing!

I immediately grab my phone to see that Delilah texted. I quickly tell her I'm at the mall with the boys and ask how works going.

Delilah: boring :p I get off at 3, maybe sooner if I get my work done early. Still want me to come get you later?

Luke: yes please! I think my friends wanna meet you.

Delilah: yeah? That's fine with me. Meet at your house around 3:30?

Luke: sounds good:)

"She's coming to my house at 3:30 if you guys wanna meet her."

"Yeah, dude. She must be cool if she's got you so hooked." Calum laughs.

"She's pretty damn cool." I chuckle.

We go to a few more shops before heading back to my house to play video games.

I don't have a console, but Ashton left his old x box at my house so we can play when they come over.

We play Destiny for a while when there's a knock on my door. Suddenly I'm incredibly nervous and I immediately hop up from the couch, leaving my controller and letting my character die.

"Hi." I smile at Delilah as I open the door.

"Hi Luke." She chuckles as I hear Michael yelling about being killed.

"I'm sorry, they're really loud."

"Luke! Are you gonna let her in so we can meet her or are you gonna make her stand out in the cold?" Ashton yells.

I blush as I apologize and let her in, mumbling a "shut up, dick." As I walk past Ashton.

I glance at Delilah to see if she heard, hoping she didn't because I usually don't act like that around her, but she raises an eyebrow, not commenting. The boys turn the game off as she comes into the living room.

"Guys, this is Delilah. Delilah, that Ashton, Calum, and Michael." I point each of the boys out. Delilah shakes each of the boys hands, mumbling a 'nice to meet you', which they return.

"You were right, Luke." Michael mumbles.

"Back off." I chuckle, knowing exactly what he means.

"So what are you guys up to?"

"Destiny. Ever played?"

"Mhhhm, yeah, with my brother." She smiles and nods.

"You wanna play?"

"Actually, I'm kinda hungry. Luke do you-" I nod and take her to the kitchen, immediately giving her a hug when we're out of the boys sight.

"I missed you." I mumble into her neck. She chuckles and kisses my head.

"I missed you too. I was really bored. But it seems like you had fun?" I shrug then nod, breathing in her scent as I relax into her embrace.

"You should let me come next time."

"If I have a shorter day." She chuckles. I whine and she squeezes me a bit tighter in warning.

"I really am hungry, Luke. I didn't eat lunch." She chuckles.

"Oh." I giggle and pull away. "We don't have any food, sorry."

"Oh. Well we can go out I guess."

I lead her back into the living room and announce to the boys that we're going out for lunch. Once we agree on where, the boys all get in their own cars and I go with Delilah.

After lunch the boys all go home.

"Lili?" I ask as we get in her car.

"Yes baby boy?"

"Um, do you think- well, can I- can I stay at yours tonight?"

"You wanna spend the night?"

"If that ok." I say shyly. "It's just- my dad is gonna be home around 7 and I really would just rather not be home, if you don't want me to or you're busy it's-"

"No baby boy, you can spend the night. I don't mind. Do you wanna stop at yours and pick up clothes?"

I nod and she smiles and continues driving towards my house.

"Why don't you wanna be around your dad?"

"Like I said, we don't get along great." She nods in understanding and smiles at me.

I grab some of my little pajamas and an outfit to wear tomorrow and my toothbrush and pack and stuffie before we go to Delilah's house. I'm really excited to spend the night.

As soon as we're back in the car, Delilah's hand rests on my thigh and I slip into little space, giggling.

"Can we watch Cars when we get to your house Lili?"

"Whatever you want baby boy." She chuckles.

"Ice cream?"

"If you eat your vegetables at dinner." I groan and Delilah chuckles.

"I think you can survive one small serving of broccoli, Lukey boy."

"Broccoli?! No fair." I whine, and she laughs.

"If you want the ice cream I bought for you..." she sings, and I groan.

"Does it have to be broccoli?!"

"That's what I have baby boy. Unless you'd prefer Brussel sprouts." She teases. I groan and glare at her and she chuckles, ruffling my hair.

"What else is for dinner?"

"Lasagna."

"Yay! Ok. I'll eat the broccoli."
