I guess you could say they're fan covers ehe BUT but 'Person x Male Reader' fanfics are incredibly rare, and though I am a female, I do find myself seeking those kinda of fanfics out just for fun. I've only encountered these kinds of fanfics about twice-three times so yeah, seeing someone write that kinda thing.
