Moments of Insanity
Ship: Shalt(?)
Trigger Warning: Non-consent kissing and touching ⚠️
I made the plot back in 2021 for the Halloween but I disregard it. Now, I accidentally found it, fix it.... and turn out like this.
🥀
The rain poured endlessly, an icy torrent that soaked Valt Aoi to the core. He remained on his knees before the gravestone, oblivious to the mud staining his clothes. His sobs were jagged, escaping his throat in broken gasps that echoed through the empty graveyard. His fingers clawed at the drenched ground, as though the act of digging could somehow undo the unthinkable.
His best friend, Shu Kurenai, was gone, ripped from his life too soon. It's not fair!
After the tournament he ended his life thinking it's the only way to make things right.
(How could he that!?!)
“Shu…” he choked out, his voice barely audible over the storm. “Why… why did you leave me? I need you… I can’t—” His words broke off as he curled in on himself, his body wracked with grief. “I’ll do anything… just come back. Please…”
The words hung in the air like a plea to the heavens, but the heavens remained silent. The ground beneath him, however, did not.
Slowly, the ground beneath him began to darken. Black mist seeped from the earth, curling and writhing like serpents. Valt’s head shot up, his hazel eyes wide as he watched the fog gather before him, twisting into a vaguely humanoid shape. His heart pounded, fear wrapped his heart as the figure solidified.
The figure stepped closer, emerging fully from the shadows. It was his best friend—but not quite. His white hair was messy, and has an erie posture. His skin seemed to glow faintly, almost luminescent in the storm’s gloom. But it was his eyes that froze Valt in place—glowing a hypnotic, unholy red, filled with something he didn't know, definitely not the warmth he once knew.
"Shu?” Valt’s voice broke as the figure became clearer. But something was wrong.
The smile on Shu’s face was too wide, his lips curling with a sinister sweetness. Yet, to Valt’s broken mind, none of it mattered. Shu was here. His best friend had come back to him.
“Valt,” Shu said, his voice soft yet laced with an unnatural allure. “Didn’t I tell you I’d never leave you?”
Valt’s breath hitched as his heart clenched painfully. “Shu… is it… is it really you?”.
(Please, don't give him high hopes)
A soft chuckle escape his lips, "Of course silly. Don’t you recognize your beloved best friend?"
Shu smiled, stepping closer until he stood directly before Valt. The smile was soft, but it didn’t reach his eyes. Then his hands rose slowly, cupping bluenette’s face with a tenderness that made the younger blader’s breath catch. The freezing touch sent shivers down his spine, he can feel his sins crawling through his skin, but Valt leaned into it despite the chill. Shu’s thumb brushed against his cheek, wiping away the tears.
“You… you won’t leave again, will you? Please… promise me…” Valt hopelessly plead without knowing where this will go.
Shu’s smile widened, his sharp teeth glinting faintly in the storm’s dim light. He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a low, intimate whisper. “Of course not. How could I ever leave you? The real question is, you will stay with me forever aren't you? After all, we adore each other.”
The intimacy of the moment sent Valt’s heart racing, but something in the back of his mind whispered that this wasn’t right. His best friend’s touch, his voice—it felt too perfect, like a trap dressed in silk. “S-shu…” he started, his voice trembling. “Something about this—”
“Shh,” Shu interrupted, one finger pressing and brushing against Valt’s lips. The touch was soft. “You don’t have to say anything, Valt. I know how much you love me. I’ve always known.”
Valt’s eyes widened, his cheeks flushing despite the cold. “I… of course I love you, Shu, but—”
"Then prove it.” Shu’s hands slid down, trailing over Valt’s arms until his fingers tightly interlaced with the younger blader’s. His grip was firm, but his smile remained surprising soft. “You’d do anything for me, wouldn’t you?”
“uhhhh....” the word tumbling out before he could think. His hazel eyes clouded as he tried to make sense of the conflicting emotions swirling within him.
“I repeat. You will do anything for me because you love me, right?” Shu repeated, his voice dropping to a low, whisper as he leaned in, his forehead resting lightly against Valt’s.
“Y-yes,” Valt whispered again, though hesitation crept into his voice.
Shu’s smile widened, as he move his head his hands tightening slightly around Valt’s. “Then listen carefully,” he murmured, his lips brushing against Valt’s ear. “Lui and Free… they hurt me. They deserve to suffer."
Valt froze, his breath catching in his throat. “What? No, Shu, they’re—”
“They’re the reason I suffered,” Shu emphasize, his tone sweet but insidious. His hands slid up Valt’s arms, gripping his shoulders now as he pulled him closer. “They stole our supposed to be happy friendship. If you love me—if you truly love me—you’ll make them pay.”
“No, Shu,” Valt said, shaking his head. His voice trembled, weak with grief and confusion. “They didn’t—”
“Shh,” Shu cooed, his fingers threading through Valt’s rain-soaked hair. He tilted the younger blader’s head back, forcing their gazes to meet. The crimson glow in Shu’s eyes deepened, seeping into Valt’s hazel ones like ink spreading through water. “You don’t have to resist anymore, Valt. Just trust me.”
Valt tried to resist, his hands trembling as they hovered near Shu’s chest. “I… I don’t know what you—”
“You want me to stay, don’t you?” Shu whispered, is his last resort, his voice dripping with a dark seduction. “You want me to love you like you love me?” His cold hands cradled Valt’s face, his thumbs stroking his cheeks as though soothing a frightened child. Then subtly forcing him to look straight to eyes, for some reason Valt doesn't feel scared, he feel... safe?
“....yes,” Valt breathed, his voice barely audible.
“Then do this for me.” Shu’s lips curled into a sinister smile as his unholy crimson eyes gleam intensified. “Hurt them. For me. My love”
Valt’s lips trembled, his mind fracturing under the weight of his grief and Shu’s hypnotic presence. Slowly, his hazel eyes dull and clouded with crimson light and his lips set into frown that didn't fit his face.
“For you, Shu,” he said, his voice trembling with a warped eagerness, it timber a goal to please. “I’ll do anything for you.”
Shu smirk, his fingers trailing down Valt’s neck in a lingering touch. “I knew you would,” he murmured, filled with dark satisfaction.
🥀
He didn't know what happen next
The rainstorm had faded into a soft drizzle by the time Valt stood before the ruined figures of Lui and Free. Their bloodied forms lay motionless at his feet. Valt’s chest heaved as he clutched the crimson-stained remnants of his torn sleeve, his mind swimming in chaos. He let go of the knife he didn't notice he had. For the first time since this nightmare began, he felt something crack through the fog clouding his thoughts.
(What had he done?)
Valt swayed on his feet, his hazel eyes distant and clouded with the residue of crimson light. His breaths came in shallow gasps, his mind a swirl of emotions he could barely comprehend. This is haunting reminder of the deed that had shattered whatever remained of his innocence. They didn’t deserve this… the thought flitted through his mind like a desperate cry for reason, a feeble attempt to break through the hold that gripped him.
But before the thought could solidify, he felt it—familiar hands, cold and possessive, sliding over his shoulders from behind.
“Valt,” Shu’s voice cooed, sweet and hypnotic. It slithered through Valt’s fractured mind like poison honey, and he froze as Shu’s arms wrapped around him from behind, pulling him into an embrace. “You’ve done so well, my perfect best friend. Look at what you’ve accomplished for me…”
“I…” Valt’s voice trembled, the faint spark of defiance flickering in his chest. “Shu, I… I don’t think—”
Shu’s hands moved, gliding down Valt’s arms before spinning him around to face him. Crimson eyes bore into Valt’s hazel ones, their glow consuming and all-encompassing. “Shh,” Shu whispered, one hand cupping Valt’s cheek as the other slid around his waist. His smile was soft, almost tender, but laced with something suffocating command. “Don’t worry about it sweetie. You did nothing wrong ”
“But Lui… Free… I hurt them…” Valt’s lips trembled as he took a shaky step back, his instincts screaming at him to run. But Shu followed, closing the distance effortlessly. His hand darted out, cold fingers wrapping around Valt’s wrist and pulling him forward with surprising strength. Valt stumbled into Shu’s chest, his breath hitching as those icy arms coiled around him like chains.
"You're not S-shu...” Valt whispered, his voice raw and weak. He didn't know why he felt so weak and submissive.
“You’re overthinking again,” Shu interrupted, his tone gentle yet laced with menace. His hand slid up to cup Valt’s face, his thumb brushing over his rain-slicked cheek. He felt like he's being tortured the more he keep on touching him.
“Look, the ritual is done I am alive because you killed them. And just like what you wanted, I finally have you. Wasn't that nice”
(N-no!!)
Valt’s lips parted, as though to protest, but Shu didn’t give him the chance. He leaned in, capturing Valt’s lips in a kiss that was anything but comforting. It wasn’t gentle—it was consuming, devouring, like a black hole swallowing everything in its path. Shu’s lips were cold, yet impossibly sweet, like poisoned candy meant ot entice him.
He keep deepening the kisses, when Valt defied, he keep holding his grip even poor little boy wince in pain on his actions.
When Shu finally pulled back, it was only for a moment, his lips brushing against Valt’s as he spoke, his breath chilling the air. “Do you feel that, Valt? That’s my love for you. It’s all you need. Nothing else matters.”
Valt’s knees buckled, but Shu held him upright, his grip firm and unrelenting. He gasped fo air, hoping to release the poison that entered his body, his hazel eyes wide and glossy with tears trickling on his face.
“You don’t have to say anything,” Shu murmured, tilting Valt’s head to the side with almost predatory tenderness. His lips trailed down to Valt’s neck, lingering just above his pulse. “Just trust me. You do trust me, don’t you?”
Valt hesitated, his breaths shallow as Shu’s cold lips grazed his skin. The question lingered in the air, pressing against his fragile mind. Did he trust Shu? He wanted to—he needed to. Because he love him, you'll do anything for your love one. ANYTHING. But a tiny flicker of doubt sparked in the depths of his thoughts. “I… I don’t know…”
Shu’s grip tightened, his fingers digging into Valt’s waist, making him wince in pain more, as his voice dropped to a low, dangerous whisper. “That’s not the answer I want to hear, Valt.” His lips pressed against Valt’s neck, the icy touch sending a shiver down his spine. “Do you love me?”
“Yes,” Valt whispered, the word slipping from his lips before he could stop it.
“Then prove it,” Shu murmured, in sweet command. His lips parted, and Valt gasped in pain as a sharp, burning sensation erupted at the base of his neck. It was as if fire were carving into his skin, digging him whole, not letting anything get behind, the pain radiating outward in cruel, pulsing waves.
“Ahh!” Valt cried out, his hands clawing weakly at Shu’s shoulders as his body trembled.
“Shh,” Shu cooed, his voice soothing even as his actions were anything but. He pulled back slightly, admiring the faintly glowing mark now etched into Valt’s neck—a curse mark. His fingers traced the mark, as he smiled, satisfied.
“Now you’re my servant, Valt.”
Valt’s head lolled slightly, his body weak and unsteady as the curse mark pulsed faintly, its sinister energy spreading through him. His hazel eyes were dull and unfocused, the last remnants of his resistance buried beneath the weight of Shu’s influence.
(Perfect~)
Shu pressed another kiss to Valt’s forehead, “You’ve worked so hard for me, dear. You’ve done everything I asked. Such a good little boy.”
Valt shuddered, his breath hitching at the praise, he felt proud by hearing those words, he felt like he needed to do more to satisfy him, his fractured mind clinging to the words despite the faint sense of wrongness still gnawing at him. “I… I just want you to be happy, Shu…”
“And you’ve made me so happy,” His hands slid down Valt’s arms, his fingers interlocking with Valt’s in a gesture that wasn't intimate instead imprisoning at all once. “You’re the perfect best friend I could ever ask for. Aren’t you?”
“Yes,” Valt respond, in a robotic manner.
Shu’s smile widened, his crimson eyes glowing brighter. “Good boy. The next time I ask something of you, you’ll do it, won’t you? Out of love. For me.”
“Yes…”
“Your loyalty belongs to me,” Shu said, his tone firm yet soothing, like a command doesn't take no for answer but will receive a generous award for obeying. “Doesn’t it?”
“Yes…”
Shu’s arms enveloped him once more, pulling him into a suffocating embrace. His grip on Valt was firm, possessive, as if he feared even the faintest chance of his prey slipping away “You’re my puppet, Valt,” he whispered, his lips brushing against Valt’s ear.
🥀
Shu or should we call Red Eye put a wicked grin as he took a step back, just enough to admire his handiwork. Valt stood before him, head bowed slightly, his hazel eyes dull and distant, the faint crimson glow of the curse mark on his neck. He looked fragile, almost pitiful, yet utterly obedient—a puppet stripped of his strings, waiting for his master’s command.
“Who would’ve thought,” He muttered under his breath, his voice laced with mockery as his crimson eyes gleamed. He reached out, his fingers brushing Valt’s damp hair away from his face with an almost affectionate gesture. “This little boy, so full of sunshine and innocence, would turn out to be my greatest asset. You used to be nothing to me, Valt—a naive, hopeless idiot clinging to dreams of friendship and loyalty. I thought you were weak, a liability. But…”
He chuckled darkly, his hand trailing down to cup Valt’s chin, tilting it up so their eyes met. “Dang, Shu,” he murmured mockingly to himself, his crimson eyes gleaming with malice. “Your best friend is way too nice. Sweet. Loyal. And so heartbreakingly beautiful when he’s broken like this.” He chuckled softly, his voice dripping with amusement as his gaze flickered to Valt’s dazed, glassy eyes. “Thank goodness he’s such a good puppet.”
Red Eye’s thumb traced Valt’s jawline, his touch light but deliberate, as if testing the limits of his control. His grin widened as he saw no resistance, only the faint, hollow remnants of the boy who once stood defiant and free.
“You’ll do anything I ask, won’t you?” his voice dripping with dark amusement. “Anything at all. And I do mean anything.” He leaned in, his breath cold against Valt’s ear as he whispered, “Do you have any idea what that means, Valt? What I could make you do?”
Valt shuddered faintly, but his lips moved almost instinctively. “Anything… for you.”
Red Eye’s laugh was low and chilling, a sound that seemed to echo in the mist around them. “Good boy. So devoted.” His hand moved to Valt’s shoulder, squeezing it lightly as he began to pace around him, like a predator circling its prey. “I could ask you to destroy everything you once loved, and you would. I could ask you to kneel at my feet, and you’d fall to your knees without hesitation. I could ask you to call me master you would revered me like a higher being. You’d even give your life for me, wouldn’t you?”
“Yes,” Valt whispered, his voice faint but resolute.
The answer only made Shu’s grin more sinister. “You’d burn the whole world to the ground if I told you to,” he mused aloud, his tone almost dreamy. “You’ll ruin lives in my name, and you’ll do it with a smile, thinking it’s all for the sake of love and to please me furthur.”
He paused, standing behind Valt now, his hands resting on the boy’s shoulders as he leaned in close. “Now I see what you really are. A tool. A weapon. My weapon. And the best part?” He leaned in, his lips brushing against Valt’s temple as his voice turned to a seductive whisper. “You want to be used. You’re grateful for it.”
Valt’s lips parted as if to speak, but Shu pressed a finger to them, silencing him with a smirk. “No need to say it. I already know. You’d do anything to make me happy, wouldn’t you? That’s what makes you so… delightful.”
He stepped back slightly, but only to tilt Valt’s chin up again, his crimson eyes burning with twisted satisfaction. “You’ll obey me, not out of fear, but out of love. And that’s what makes you so dangerous. Do you understand now, Valt? You’re not just my best friend anymore. You’re my masterpiece.”
Shu’s lips curled into a devious smile as he cupped Valt’s face with both hands thums — he really feel entertain whenever he touch his face or body, it's like toy he wouldn't get tired of it – brushing over the boy’s cold, rain-slicked cheeks. “And I’ll use you, Valt,” he whispered, his voice like a poison-laced lullaby. “Over and over again. You’ll break for me, bleed for me, and you’ll thank me for it. Because you love me. Don’t you?”
The more he keep on repeating those words, the more Valt felt deeper into despair. Manipulating his feelings might be his new hobby now.
“Yes…” Valt breathed, the word slipping from his lips like a prayer to a false god.
Shu leaned in, pressing another kiss to Valt’s lips. This time, it wasn’t just cold—it was consuming, intoxicating, like venom coursing through his veins. The mist swallowed them whole, the faint crimson glow of the curse mark the only light in the suffocating darkness, as Valt stood motionless in his grasp, his body and soul shackled to a love that was nothing but a weapon in disguise.
