Mom...

"Edward." A sweet voice called out. I opened my eyes, looking around for the person in the field of flowers.

"Edward, over here, sweetie!"

I turned my head again, but still didn't see anyone. This was getting aggravating... I could feel a vein about to pop in my forehead.

"Brother?" A familiar voice asked from behind me.

"Al? What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I'm looking for the lady. She was calling me and lead me over here."

It briefly went through my mind about why my brother would be following lady he didn't know when he had Mai back at home, but I pushed the thought away. He was too nice a person to cheat on Mai.

"My precious boys..." The female voice said, this time behind us. We turned around, expecting to find an enemy; but instead, I froze.

"M... Mom?" I swallowed hard, trying to make sure the person in front of me was really her; I've had so many nightmares just like this, it starting out peaceful but then mom was there. But she wouldn't be as herself, no, she'd be as the thing that me and Al made... Even if it wasn't really her though...

"Don't worry, Ed, it's really me this time."

I looked over at my brother; Al was in shock, he was young when mom died, so he doesn't remember her too much, but this... this was really her.

"Mom...!" I cried, running to hug her, Al close behind. We cried, we sobbed, our throats were raw when we finally stopped.

"My boys... Look how much you've grown! Edward, you've gotten so tall! And look at you, Al, you're so much stronger looking!" She replaced her happiness for hurt, placing a hand on each of our cheeks. "I'm so sorry. I left you two and caused you to grow up so fast."

"It wasn't your fault, mom! You were sick! You couldn't help it!" Al said when he took a break in crying.

She smiled at him and cupped his cheek then looked to me and did the same. "I'm so proud of you two. You've helped so many, and made a lot of friends, having your own families now as well; you boys are so brave and strong now. I believe I can finally go on in peace..."

"B-but, mom! Please, just stay a little longer! Please! You-" Al stopped when he saw mom's tears.

"I'm so sorry, Alphonse, I wish I could. I love you so much, my dear boys." She hugged us one last time, kissing our cheeks, before starting to glow and disappear.

I slowly opened my eyes, staring at my ceiling, a tear slipping down my face. I lifted my hand to wipe the wetness away.

"Edward! How long are you going to sleep?! Al's coming over with Mai soon!" Winry yelled, stomping into our room. She stopped in her tracks as soon as she saw me though. "Are you alright; what's wrong?"

I sat up, getting out of bed and kissing her head. "It's nothing. I just had a dream that brought up some things..."

She gave me a look with so many feelings. Sadness, happiness, love, comfort... She knew how much pain I was still in from me and Al's past, but I also knew she was happy that I would now talk with her about this kind of thing, remembering the time when I wouldn't even tell her when I was in physical pain, let alone emotionally.

"Brother...?"

"Yeah, Al?"

There was a pause for a second, something that wouldn't normally be there. I closed my book, looking over at him on the sofa. He was looking at his hands, his eyes puffy (something I should have known earlier)

"Alphonse, what happened?"

"Last night... I dreamed about mom..."

I gasped.

"She was just like she used to be before she got sick, happy and caring. And you were there too. And we were a family again, just like when we were kids! But we were still us now! And she- and she said that she could move on now!" He looked up at me. "Do you think... she's happy for us now? That she's in peace?"

I could barely speak... If Al also had that same dream, could that have been more than a dream...?

Finally, I smiled. "Yeah, Al. I think she is."

A/N: some feels for you today. I found the picture of Ed and Al crying one day and just burst out in tears. Therefore I do what any fan girl would do... I wrote a fanfiction of it.  Hoped you like it!
