Cheapskate (16)

"What are you doing here, (Y/N)?" Michael wondered, stepping out of the office.

"Michael! Hey! I was just- Erm, coming to check on you!" you babbled nervously, rubbing the back of your neck and giving him a forced smile.

Michael didn't buy it at all. "Have you been staying here at the pizzeria?"

"What? N- . . ." You sighed and dropped the act. "Yeah, I have."

"So this is why I could never find Molten Freddy in the vents," Michael mused, seeming annoyed.

"Sorry I haven't told you earlier . . . I just didn't want you to think I was being cheap," you admitted bashfully, looking down.

"Can't you stay at James's?" Michael wondered, making Foxy growl.

"He's not really on the right terms with me for me to stay with him," you mumbled.

"What happened?"

"Um, don't worry about it. It probably won't affect our jobs, anyway, so there's no need to."

Michael hummed, looking down in thought. 'It's affecting my performance, though. There has to be a way to convince them to get along.'

"Anyway, sorry if we had interrupted your tasks. We didn't mean to be so loud," you apologised, hinting that he should leave you and Molten Freddy and continue with whatever he was doing in the office.

He nodded, still thinking. As he went back into the office, you looked back at Foxy. When he turned to you and noticed your gaze, he quickly looked down.

"Now that I know about you liking me, can you stop with the awkwardness?" you complained, crossing your arms.

"I wasn't being- . . . I guess, but won't it be even weirder? Knowing that I feel that way about you?" Foxy suggested, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Hmm . . . I mean, it wouldn't be weird if we started dating," you suggested back, putting your hands in your pocket.

Foxy's eyes widened and face reddened. "What?"

"Why don't we start dating?" you stated, smiling.

"B-but- . . . What about Freddy?"

"You never heard of a poly relationship?"

"I'm not dating Freddy!"

"You don't have to. It can be like a- . . . You guys can share me--" You bit your lip and looked over in thought--"That'd actually be kinda hot."

Foxy stared at you, half grossed out, half embarrassed. When you looked back at him and saw his look, you nervously lifted your hands up.

"I-I'm just joking," you chuckled bashfully.

When you squinted and bit your lip again, Foxy slapped your arm with a wire, snapping you out of it. You laughed, rubbing your arm.

"Ballora, I hope you won't mind our antics. Unless you want to join in?" you mumbled, rubbing the back of your neck as Foxy gave you a look of offense.

"O-oh, I'm fine. Thank you, though," Ballora bashfully replied. "I can just separate whenever you guys get affectionate."

"Hm? Separate?"

"Separate from the body and go into the mind. If that makes sense."

"Oh, okay. Yeah, I get it. Wait, then that gives Foxy no excuse to why he was there while I was sleeping on Freddy," you snickered, playfully eyeing Foxy accusingly.

"I-I- If nobody else is there, Freddy would've ended up hurting you!" Foxy defended himself in a fluster.

"Hurting her? I would never hurt her!" Freddy objected, jumping towards you to put his arms under your back and legs and lifting you up. "You guys told me not to hurt her, so I know now!"

You chuckled as he grinned down at you. Wires started to wrap around your limbs.

"Besides, I've found out just how fragile her casing is," he commented, his eyes trailing over your body as the wires slowly started to tighten. "It's soft and weak. I could easily just . . . rip it apart."

"O-kay--" Foxy interrupted as the wires started to unraveled from around you--"You see, this is why you no longer get full control when (Y/N)'s around . . . you psychopath."

"Oh, s-sorry," Freddy mumbled as a wire booped your nose.

"Hey, at least we know he can't kill me," you sneered, resting your head against Foxy's shoulder.

"You- . . . It would still hurt you, goddamnit," Foxy grumbled, blushing.

"Is there a way you can give him control of, like, a wire or something? That way I can always have a part of him with me," you thought aloud as you gestured to the mass of wires.

"Maybe . . ."

After a few seconds, a wire rose in front of you. It poked your cheek playfully, making you giggle.

"Yep, that's Freddy," you snickered as it continued to mess with your face.

"I gave one to Ballora too, I guess."

Another wire waved in front of you, gesturing that it was Ballora. You snickered.

"Freddy, if you could stop with the squishing of my face," you mumbled, closing your eyes.

"Sorry," Freddy giggled. "It's just so squishable."

You smiled as the wire "cuddled" up against you, the tip curling around the side of your neck. You yawned lightly, making Foxy glance down at you. He then remembered that you were going to go to sleep before he interrupted.

Foxy set you down, to which you looked at him with worry. Before you could ask why he put you down, he leaned over you and wrapped his arms around, hugging you. He then lifted you up and leaned back so you were now lying down on him.

"Oh, right," you chuckled, scooting up some.

Foxy tensed up as you laid your head in the crook of his neck. You sighed and closed your eyes, cuddling up against him.

". . . Would you be okay with me- . . ?" Foxy's voice made you peek an eye open and glance at him.

"Okay with what?" you wondered, but didn't get a reply. "I mean, we're- . . . Wait--"

Foxy's eyes widened as you gasped and sat up. He gave you a questioning look.

"You never actually said anything about what I had suggested. I just kind of assumed you wanted to start dating," you babbled an explanation, rubbing the back of your neck.

"Of course I do!" Foxy blushed as he averted his eyes. "I-I mean- . . . If you really wanted me to, I guess we can start dating."

"Don't make it sound like that," you huffed, crossing your arms.

"Foxy's saying he would like to start a relationship," Ballora spoke up.

"I didn't say that!" Foxy snapped.

"I was translating. You're only going to dig yourself deeper if you keep talking. I know both of you want to start a relationship--" You and Foxy glanced to each other sheepishly--"so I'll say this to help out some: you guys are 'going out' now . . . Okay?"

". . . Okay."

You nodded and smiled at Foxy. Foxy nodded back, smiling nervously.

"Now, let's let (Y/N) get some sleep."

After you lay back down how you were before, Freddy quickly said: "Foxy's wondering if he can put his arms around you!"

"Freddy!" Foxy barked, glaring down at the speaker.

You snickered, "I don't mind. We're dating now, so you can be as affectionate as you've wanted to be."

"I've not wanted to be affectionate with you!" he blurted, the bright glow of his eye making you squint.

"Heh, now that I know that 'all that' isn't just you being an asshole and is more like you being the absolute tsundere you are, I actually find it kind of cute," you teased, sticking your tongue out at him playfully.

"Shut up!"

A wire quickly slapped your thigh, making you lurch up. A small blush tinted your cheeks.

"Woah there! I think it's a bit too early in the relationship for something like that," you muttered, glancing back.

"I wasn't- Stop talking and go to sleep!" Foxy roared, his face burning up.

"Pfft, okay, Jeff--"

"Who the- I remember Bon-Bon saying that you had the same reply to Freddy that one time- Who the fuck is Jeff?" Foxy ranted as you laughed.

"It's just a character whose catchphrase is 'Go to sleep,' " you chuckled, calming him down.

Foxy glared at you and sighed as his will to argue suddenly left him. He pushed your head back down and hugged you grumpily, and you took the hint, closing your eyes.
