Molly's POV

So the Martins claimed my uncle Eli was on a business trip and the Salvatores claim to have no idea of his whereabouts. Clearly they are all lying. Uncle Eli would not just leave me without some sort of explanation. He also wouldn't ignore my calls. I will find out what happened to him no matter what. Caroline would be my best bet, she is a terrible lair and can't resist my eyes.

I go to the high school and see her with Matt. "Hi Caroline" I say.

"Molly hi" she says. "Do you remember Matt?" she asks.

"Yes, hi Matt" I say.

"Hey" he says and puts up a poster.

"Live band?" Caroline asks.

"Yeah, business has been a little slow. The Grill's trying to stay afloat" he explains.

"Aren't we all?" she asks him.

"Have you heard from Tyler?" he asks her.

"Not a peep, you?" she asks.

"No, not since he stopped by the Grill to talk, and I've left messages on his cell phone" he states.

"Something wrong with Tyler?" I ask.

"He run away from home" Matt tells me.

"He stopped by to see you? What did he say?" Caroline asks drawing his attention.

"Not much, really. I mean...I think to say good-bye without really saying good-bye. I just didn't know it" Matt explains.

"And that's all he said?" she asks.

"Yeah. Yeah, that's all he said, Caroline. Why? I mean, is there something you want to tell me" he asks her.

"Yeah! I...I mean, no, I...it's just not that easy" she tells him.

"I don't get it! Since when have am I the one that can express himself and you're the one at a loss for words?" he asks her.

"No, you're right, and I'm sorry" she says.

"You know how I feel. So it's your move. Just make a decision or leave me alone" he tells her and leaves.

"You ok?" I ask her.

"Yeah" she says. "Hey, are you free tonight?" she asks me.

"Yes, why?" I ask her.

"Bonnie, Elena and I are having a girls night. Care to join?" she asks.

"I'd love too" I say with a smile. I may be able to get some information tonight. "Anyway, you have school" I tell her.

"Meet us at Elena's after school" she tells me. I nod my head and leave. I go to the boarding house to snoop. When I arrive I smell something burning. I go to search for the source when Damon appears in front of me.

"Molly, what are you doing here?" he asks.

"What's that smell?" I ask him.

"Tried to cook breakfast for the love birds and burnt it. Nothing to worry about" he tells me. "Anyway, I am reading old journals today. Care to join me?" he asks.

"Sounds boring" I tell him.

"A little, but it's important" he tells me.

"Why?" I ask.

"That's for me to know and you to find out" he tells me. "So what will you be doing today?" he asks as he heads for parlor.

"Look for clues on my uncle's whereabouts" I tell him.

"Still on that are you? He left, get over it" he tells me.

"Uncle Eli doesn't just leave without an explanation or good bye. He also doesn't ignore my calls" I tell him. As he sorts the journals. Just then Elena appears and I frown in confusion, she should be at school.

"What are you up to? Hi Molly" she says.

"None of your business" Damon tells her.

"We're pouting now? Are those the Gilbert journals?" she asks and he doesn't answer. She should know if they are Gilbert journals. As she's a Gilbert. Unless, she isn't Elena. "How am I supposed to help you if you won't tell me what you're up to?" she asks him.

"Can you tell me where a bunch of witches were massacred in this town a couple centuries ago?" Damon asks her.

"No" she says.

"Then you can't help" he tells her. She must be Katherine. But how could she have escaped the tomb? Uncle Eli would not de-compel her and she is not strong enough to fight his compulsion. And hasn't been on vervain in weeks. Which means only one thing, Uncle Eli is daggered somewhere. But the question is where?

"I'm going out tonight" I tell Damon.

"Who with?" he asks.

"Caroline and the others" I state.

"Ok, have fun" he tells me. Katherine tries to grab a journal but he slap her hands. She hits his arm and he pushes her on a chair and is above her. I leave them to it. I go to my room and change clothes and go to Elena's. I snoop around her room and find her journal. I decide to read it while I wait for the girls.

(Time skip)

When the girls arrived we decided on food. But then Jenna came down and she is real down about Ric. Apparently, they are fighting. So they decided to go to the grill. We all got coats and left. We arrive at the grill to see the live band already playing. Jenna sees Ric and decides she needs a drink.

Matt passes us and Caroline said hi. But he ignored us. "Things just got real awkward" Bonnie states.

"I'll never understand relationships" I tell them.

"Well you are stuck in a child's body" Elena reminds me.

"He said the ball's in your court" Bonnie tells Caroline.

"Yeah, but I can't do anything about it" Caroline states.

"Why not?" I ask her curious.

"Molly has a point. All you do is talk about how much you care about him" Bonnie states.

"Yeah, but I am still keeping so many secrets" Caroline tells us.

"Secrets aren't good in any relationship" I state.

"See even Molly knows it's hopeless" Caroline tells the others.

"Alaric's in the same boat with Jenna and maybe that's our mistake. We're trying to protect the people that we love by keeping them out of it, but in the end, we're hurting them anyway" Elena tells her. The song ends. Caroline takes off her jacket and gives it to Elena. "What are you doing? Where are you going?" Elena asks her.

Caroline says nothing as she heads to the stage. She hops onto it and grabs the mike. "Hey, everybody. Let's hear it for the band! Weren't they awesome?" she asks. The crowd clap.

"This isn't going to end well" Jenna states as she rejoins us.

"So there's this guy. And, uh, he told me to tell him how I feel about him. Like it's so easy. Um, you know, just 'cause I talk a lot doesn't mean I always know what I'm actually talking about. Ah, like now, I'm feeling loopy and I don't really know how to express myself" Caroline tells everyone. The singer goes to gently take the microphone off Caroline but she resists. "I can sing. Yeah! Yeah. You know what, I'm going to sing" she states.

She compels the band to let her sing. She sings a song and doesn't even finish it before Matt joins her on stage. He kisses her and everyone cheers. "Well I'm getting tired" I state.

"We're all sleeping at my house, you can go there" Elena tells me.

"Ok, have fun" I tell her. I hug her and Bonnie. Caroline had disappeared with Matt and Jenna had gone back to the bar. I left and run to Elena's house. I enter and snooped again. I find some old kid clothes. I have a shower and put them on. Before going back to Elena's room to continue to read her journal.

Suddenly Damon appears. "Don't you knock?" I ask him.

"We have a problem, you're going to have to come with me" he tells me.

"Nope, girls night" I tell him. He rolls his eyes and tries to snatch me up. I pin him. "How many times do I have to prove to you that I am older?" I ask him annoyed.

"Molly!" Bonnie calls from downstairs. I glare at Damon and run downstairs to see her with Jeremy. "We have a situation, think you can go to the Salvatore house?" she asks me.

"But it's girls night" I say pouting.

"I know, but I promise we'll make it up to you" she assures me. I sigh and leave. Damon follows me. Which sucks, because I could have looked for Uncle Eli. I lay on the couch and soon fall asleep, feeling tired.
