50: The Other Psyche Involved

AN: CHAPTER FIFTY!!! I just want to thank everyone who has encouraged me to keep writing this story! If anyone loves this story and wants another Sangwoo story by me, check out Stalked and Caught in my works!

As a few days came and went, you became more and more disillusioned with the life you were living. Every day it was cleaning, saying "yes ma'am" to the landlady, and practically living on the bare minimum. "Mrs. Landlady's" kindness was really her taking advantage of your situation and using you for hard labor. And you were dying. Sangwoo had never made you work this hard. Never made you work at all actually.

As you laid in your disgusting bed, tears flowed out of your eyes before you could stop them. It was really, really, hard being away from your home for the last few days. You hated what Sangwoo had done to you, but you were ready to go home now.

Yet, you couldn't. Besides the fact that you had no idea how to get home, returning home to Sangwoo would mean drawing attention to him. The old lady was a little too nosey for your liking. She'd walk around muttering your last name and trying to remember something. That was, of course, in between layering task after task after task on you.

"Shampoo the carpets" "Fix the window shades" "Weed the garden again" "Redo it all again tomorrow."

The nagging of the old woman played in your head. But as you thought more and more about Sangwoo, his words crept into your mind as well.

"They'll all hurt you, Gi-ae. That's all people outside ever want to do." "I'll always protect you" "I love you" "Will you marry me?" "You should have never left your spot" "Introduce yourself, my love" "This is my fiance" "My princess" "Gi-ae, wait..."

You held your pillow tightly. You were a princess kept willingly in a psychopath's castle. And you left the safety of it. Rightfully so. The minute his hand hit your face, the castle became a dungeon. But you understand why he had done it, regardless of how unnecessary it was. He must have been scared. Scared that something could have happened to you. Just like how you were scared that something had happened to him. A mutual concern, but where you went to check on him, he hit you. And that's why you couldn't go back. You wouldn't go back. Sangwoo was going to have to come crawling to you on his knees, begging for you. Otherwise, how would you ever know if he was sorry?

You pawed at your eyes and sniffled. You didn't need to cry over this. If he was sorry, he would come find you. If he wasn't, then you could build your life from here. No matter how much you hated it here and hated the landlady. You could always fix that problem.
