26: The New Not Normal

"Bum, put this on." Sangwoo threw some clothes at him. "Gi-ae, come sit with me in the kitchen." He had had a few hours and a good breakfast that allowed him to calm down and think about this methodically. And his answer? None. He had no idea how to fix this mess between you two. He needed time away to think about it more. And in the mean time, he had to dispose of the body. As he took a seat in the kitchen, he opened his arms out to you. Normally, you would have run into his arms and snuggled in close. But it wasn't normal anymore. You looked at him hesitantly, glanced at the chair next to him and looked back at his down turned eyes. "Please don't do this, Gi-ae. Please, just sit with me." Sangwoo begged. Nothing bad could come from it, I suppose. You thought as you took a seat in his lap. He was such a large man, that you felt you could just sink into him. He pulled your head onto his shoulder and leaned his cheek on your forehead. "We're going to the mountain. To get rid of her. I did it yesterday, Gi-ae. I killed that woman."

"I don't want to go out any more." You said blandly.

"We'll pick up those apples you love so much."

"...No. I don't think I'd like to go."

"We'll go to a hotel and take a warm bath in a huge tub."

"I really don't want to."

"I won't even make you come to bury her. You can sit in the room and I'll order you pizza and ice cream and get you a movie to watch." This was just straight up bribery. Normally, it would have worked. But it wasn't normal anymore.

"Sangwoo, please." Your eyes teared up a little bit. "Please, just let me stay home."

"No!" He yelled, gripping you and standing up. "You ALWAYS come with me! Always! Let's get in the car. We're going."

You pushed against him, struggling to get out of his grip. "I don't want to, I don't want to, I don't want to!"

"I need you to! I NEED YOU!" Sangwoo yelled back.

Bam!

You hit the floor as you squeezed out of his grip. Your forehead had split open a bit, but you simply touched it, looked at your hand, looked at Sangwoo and ran up the stairs. You weren't going. Not this time. You just wanted to stay home. You wanted everything to calm down, and wanted Sangwoo to let you be. As you slammed and locked your door, you laid down on your bed, bleeding onto your pillow case. Why is he being like that? He almost always listens to me. He's the one who said I don't have to do anything that I don't have to do. "Gi-ae? Gi-ae! Open your door!" Sangwoo pounded on it loudly.

"Go away! I'm not going! I don't want to, so I don't have to!"

"FUCK! Fine. Fine! FINE! I'll go without you! Just please, please, please. Please be back to normal when we come home." The last part was whispered.

As Sangwoo went to gather Bum and Ji Eun, you grabbed the book next to your bed and began reading aloud where you had left off. " 'Accept it.' He commanded. And you did as you felt a wave of nausea and dread wash over you. 'Good. I'll let Mother and Father know. Stay here for now.' Illumi left you alone. Ruined my life again with my own compliance." You loved this book, The Zoldyck's Nanny. It felt eerily similar to your own life. Confined to a single house, although the house in the book was much bigger. And of course, you weren't pregnant either. But for now, it was enough to take your mind off the troubles you were having.
