Sharanya's Point of View
"Please... please open your eyes...please Mom..."
"Please Mom..."
BEEP BEEP BEEP
"Please Mom...Please...please.."
BEEP BEEP BEEP
"Please Grandma... please make her..."
BEEP BEEP BEEP
BEEP BEEP BEEP
"Please..mom.."
BEEP BEEP BEEP
"Mom!" I opened my eyes with a sudden jolt. My breathing was heavy; body was soaked in sweat. I looked at my soundings; my room. Fresh, falling rays of the Sun were coming from the window. The room was now getting brightened up with it. Everything was normal, peaceful.
....And in present..
"Again nightmare..." I murmured lowly, pushing my hair with both palms closing my eyes. After a moment I blinked my eyes several times to adjust the new environment which I was not habituated for 2 years.
BEEP BEEP BEEP
I looked at my phone. The pre-planned alarm was ringing at it's time. I hold it and dismissed the later ones. The phone was showing the time, 7th of morning. I needed to be freshen up for the first day of office.
I can't ruin my reputation here as well.
Holding my necessary items I went into the washroom. It was cooler than Kalkata. So, I couldn't avoid warm water anymore. Otherwise it would make me sick.
After 1 hour, I got ready completely wearing my blue jeans and white long kurti with blue border on it. Packing necessary stuffs into my backpack, I looked at my reflection on the mirror. I didn't tie my hair, as it was still damp. I put it loose, on my shoulders.
"Let's go now." Putting light pink lipstick on my lips I checked myself for the last time before leaving my room.
Today was the first day in this office. So, I was not expecting to visit crime place from today onwards.
They will send us later, I guess!
Climbing down from staircase I saw Grandma giving food to the puppy with her right hand; the packet of dog-food was on her other hand. The puppy was wagging his tail frequently with happiness. Grandma was smiling brightly, talking with the puppy in low voice. I smiled at them. It was the puppy who sensed my presence before Grandma and barked at me happily.
It's a great progress, indeed.
I smiled at grandma who was smiling at me while getting up from her sitting position. The puppy came near me running faster, wagging his tail.
"He likes you a lot now, Grandma." I said smilingly picking him up from the floor with my hands.
"Yes, but loves you a lot! He is adjusting here quite well. It's a good sign for both of us." Smilingly she went inside the kitchen door.
I came near the dinning table with the puppy and put him on the table while sitting on the bamboo chair beside the table.
The table was quite unique in nature, specially designed by grandma. The middle portion of it was made of transparent glass; whereas the border was made of three parallel rows of bambooes, side by side. It was oval in shape and the colour of the bamboo was in it's natural yellow orchar. The table was covered with transparent table cloth and the plate holders were there in front of each chair. The numbers of chair were four only.
I was sitting on the chair and observing the dinning room and other surrounding areas in this falling Sunrays coming from the window beisde the dining room. Grandma didn't change anything here as well. The puppy was looking at me with his loving black, big eyes. I looked at him and smiled wholeheartedly. With my left hand I was massaging his golden fur.
"You are enjoying, right?" I murmured while he was enjoying my touch, closing his eyes to feel it.
"I need to find a name for you. I keep forgetting it." I murmured again. Grandma walked from the kitchen holding two plates of breakfast on it.
"You will eat here, right. Try to eat homemade food always." Keeping the plate in front of me, she sat on another chair as well.
"Okay grandma." I took a bite from my Roti.
From next day I am going to make something! She needs rest.
"My king, are you enjoying our home, hmmm hmmm?" Grandma said to him who was near her chair now. I smiled.
'My king', not bad!
"Your office will be from 10 o'clock. Then why so early?" She asked eating her Roti.
"I want to visit this place before going to my office." I said smilingly.
"Okay. But take your lunch on time." She replied with a smile. I nodded my head with an agreement.
Finishing my food I took my backpack and left the house after bidding Grandma and the puppy goodbyes.
I was walking on the alley to reach the main road for catching the local bus on the route of my new office.
Within few minutes of reaching the bus stop, I got one local bus for my destination. I got a seat on the middle phase. The bus was not that crowded and everyone got a seat for himself/herself. I looked at my wrist watch; it was showing 9 o'clock of morning.
Enough time for visiting the market place near the new office...
After 20 minutes of bus journey, I reached to the main market of this town. Paying my bus fair to the conductor I got down form the vehicle. The market was not quite crowded which it would be after few hours. The shopkeepers were decorating their respective shops for attracting the customers. Looking at the surroundings I was walking on the footpath.
The Sun rays were falling on me, giving me the warmth sensation in this cold day. The sky was clear, bright, blue, like a regular day of Derahdun.
The place didn't change drastically. Few things, some food stalls, shops had changed their locations. I was looking at those, thinking about the past memories which I had spent here since my childhood days. Walking for a kilometre approximately I reached to a main gate of a college, our college, Government College of Derahdun. The place were we had woven the dreams once.
I wanted to be one of the toppest Anchors of this Nation. Shivani was holding for the best programme head of well known news channel. Whereas, Vyom being a very creative person wanted to become an advertising-marketing head and entertainment manager. Although we were in the same department of Mass Media Journalism in college; our goal were different; still we were thriving for it.
Smiling a little I looked at my phone and opened my WhatsApp to inform Vyom about my arrival here. He would come here earlier than usual as Shivani was working in the same office in which we were going to join from today. I laughed thinking about the reason of Vyom's special happiness for today.
Opening the application I noticed the message on it.
'Good morning, Sharanya! I hope, you are awake now. Good luck for your new office! Lots of love!' - Sudeshna, 7:16am.
"Wow, she is still working as my morning reminder!" I murmured lowly, smilingly.
I am missing you badly, dear!
Answering her, I messaged Vyom before keeping it into my pocket.
Within 24 hours our life had changed drastically. Meeting with Grandma after two years, riding on Derahdun flight after many days, Sudeshna's last tearful eyes before leaving her at Kalkata Airport, our last lunch together, my farewell gift from her, our transfer, rescuing of the puppy and that 'could be bus accident' even. One after another I was remembering those walking on the footpath going away from our college.
That accident...
That thing stucked into my mind again. What happened that day I still couldn't understand. I couldn't reach to any conclusion from it. It never happened to me before, even in my childhood days also.
It's strange and weird at the same time...
I didn't said anything to anyone till now and the newspaper couldn't reach to me as well, till now. Drifting into the pool of thoughts I reached to the office finally. The clock was stucked into the room of 9:45. Holding a deep breath I entered into the office building.
Hope for the best!

"...So, that's why it will take 10 minutes more for meeting with you both." Assistant of the H.R. manager finally completed his words.
"Okay, we will wait here." I said while going out from the room. Vyom nodded his head and followed me.
"It's going to be more time consuming than I have thought." He said. I nodded my head with an agreement while sitting on the front bench of the H.R. office room. The open balcony was showering the Sun beams on us. We were looking at the nature coming between the iron grills of the balcony.
Vyom reached here as same time as me. We encountered with each other at the staircase of the building, on ground floor. We were on the second floor now, waiting for H.R. manager for our department details and work schedule.
We are supposed to be at crime reporting department. Why are they delaying it?
"Where is Shivani by the way?" I asked looking at his direction. He was watching the natural beauty as well.
"Working now. Gonna meet... Here is she!" His lips formed a gentle smile while looking at our front. I looked at the direction where he was eying at.
Wearing a long, heel-length, black silk, western-traditional fusion kurti, holding a white file, Shivani was walking on the corridor coming towards us. Her brownish black, straight, thick, volumetric hair was hanging loosely on her shoulders, bouncing with her every body movement. Putting her usual, beautiful yet confident smile on her fair, glowing face, she came near us.
"Will meet you later." She said to me smilingly, before entering hurriedly into the door next to the H.R. department, IT department.
"She is busy!" Vyom said smilingly.
"I know!" I said with my deadpan voice. Even though it was funny to witness Vyom like this.
Normally he is very much serious and dedicated towards the work.
"Sir is asking for you." The assistant came to us at that moment.
"Okay." I replied.
°°°°°°°°°°°°
"But Sir, we are crime reporter. How can we.." I asked with my panicked yet annoyed voice to the H.R.
"Sorry Sharanya! It is what you both are assigned of. The head had specifically asked for putting you both in this. Your reputation in crime department was not quite impressive! You and Vyom are needed to complete this one. If you success in it then we can think about your preferable department." He completed his talk putting a serious face.
"But sir.."
"Sharanya, let don't argue with it. We are okay with this decision, Sir. Please let us start the work from now." Vyom said to the H.R. who gave us last glance before Vyom let me out by grabbing my hand.
"But Vyom, how can we.." I was cut by him again.
"Please, Sharanya don't make fuss about it more! It's our last chance to keep this job. Don't ruin it! We need to stay here. Remember?" He said shutting my mouth.
Yes, he is right! We can't screw it up. We need this job; I need this job!
"Okay, let's collect the details from our department." I said putting an annoyed look on my face. He sighed deeply before nodding his head.
What a day!
°°°°°°°°°°°°°
"You will find him after his class. Please wait at his office place." The principal said smiling professionally.
"Thank you, Sir." Vyom said with same expression as his.
Leaving from the Principal office room I checked my wrist watch. It was morning 11:30 and we were stucked at this place, Central University of Derahdun, one of the best college in Derahdun, A.K.A. India. We were here to cover a biography or I should add interview of a famous person who was known for being mysterious figure to the Nation. He never did any interviews to any channels. So, if our channel could cover it then it would be very much beneficial for our company.
From crime reporter to a local news reporter, what a great motivation we got! Augh!
"Have you checked all those details, Sharanya?" Vyom asked while walking on the corridor of the university.
"No. I shall after sitting somewhere near his office. He is still at class." I replied walking beside him. He nodded his head with an agreement.
The university was really beautiful inside to outside of the campus. The departments were divided by a small garden from one to another. At the middle of each garden there was a place for reading and resting together. The students were roaming around talking and studying with one another.
Only the meritorious students could get chance here to read. The hostel for both boys and girls were beside the library a little bit far from the main building.
The Physics department was at the end of the last corridor beside Zoology department. Within a few moments, crossing the conjunction-garden we finally reached to our destination. The office was at the end and we were walking there to reach faster.
"So, this is how the Law of Motion is being applied here. So if you..." A husky voice caught my attention while crossing a closed classroom.
"Physics... remember our school days, Sharanya?" Vyom said looking at me holding his laugh.
"Please, don't make me remind of those horrible science days!" I cringed remembering those days specially with Physics.
I hate this subject!
"Me too!" He replied smilingly.
Reaching near the office we was waiting for the people, whom we were looking for.
"Give me the file, Vyom." I said; he handed over the green file to my left hand.
Opening it I started reading it thoroughly. It was one of my abilities; I could memorize details quickly.
I helped me during my academics very much.
While reading the file I was being amused by the details of it. In spite of being a Physics professor, he wrote books on Philosophy. One of his well known books was 'The Life with Time.' He discussed Philosophy of life in this book which was quite accepted by a wide range of readers. He was famous for his simple explanation with beautiful relatable examples from life. Although he was quite young, only 30, he was well known for his teaching skills as well. He achieved it in his 25 year old life. Herbert University was trying to call for him as their permanent professor for 5 years. But he refused to be. Instead, he was here to teach students.
Wow, what an over achiever!
"Woah! He is definitely something, Vyom!" I murmured and looked at him. He smiled at me.
"You never heard about him before. It's a surprising thing to know, Sharanya!" He nodded his head in disbelief.
"You know me, Vyom. I am.."
"Sorry for making both of you wait." I was cut by a familiar husky voice. Both of us looked at the source of it with a jolt.
A man in his 30's, wearing black expensive formal outfits, with a black suit, grabbing few books in his left hand, putting another one into his pocket, was standing in front of us, approximately 1 metre away. Putting a small smirk he was watching us with his dark brown eyes; his fair face was glowing with the contrast of his black outfit and the glimpses of the falling Sun rays. A few flicks of hairs were falling on his forehead, making his appearance more attractive. But the thing which caught my attention was his remarkable height; more than 6 feets I assumed.
"Hello both of you! I am Mr. Krish Khanna, the person whom you are looking for."
