Epilogue: The Last Dance
*One year hence the Battle of The Burrow*
It was a bright sunny day with crisp breeze and building anticipation for it was the day of the Hogwarts Graduation Ceremony.
After years of not practicing this ceremony, McGonagall had decided to revive it to lift up fallen and depressed spirits. The loss of their greatest Headmaster had left a deepened impact on all the staff, students and the alumni of Hogwarts. It was solely for this reason to host the ceremony.
Students who just passed their NEWTs were the ones invited and they could get a date or partner along if they so wished.
That was exactly the reason why #12 Grimmauld Place was a place of chaotic last moment checking.
"It's already fifteen past twelve, Harry, for goodness' sake!" Hermione shrieked as she threw a self-inking quill at the messy haired boy.
"It's already fifteen past twelve, Harry, for goodness' sake!" Ron mimicked, earning a glare from his girlfriend. He grinned hopelessly and she gave in to his embrace.
Suddenly, there was a loud noise followed by an 'Ow!' and the couple broke apart to look at the raven haired boy who had just banged his head on the table. Ron snorted before speaking. "I s'pose I should be the one banging your head on the table for what you are about to do."
"Where the ruddy hell is it?!" Harry shouted, disregarding Ron's threatening words to him. Hermione threw an antique clock at him and he smartly caught it before tossing it away. The said clock hit a peeking boy's head.
"Oi, mate! Don't throw clocks at me just because you don't get the damned thing!" Theodore called as he poked his head into the drawing room whilst rubbing his bruise where the clock had hit him.
"Don't call it a damned thing!" Harry shouted at him simultaneously throwing bunches of parchment paper. "Where is Sirius?! He was the one who had it!"
"'Ol Padfoot left us to go play fetch!" Theodore replied, shrugging his shoulders.
"Oi! Dad isn't old. Yet," Ron argued.
"I ruddy don't care! Just get me the precious damned thing! Find it, now!" Harry ordered and Theodore winced into the room.
"Harry, mate, can you calm down? And you too Her-me-one!" Ron shouted. Hermione was panicking by then.
"If you don't find it, Harry's life will be ruined! You are so careless Harry!" Hermione chided, looking under the mantel. "And Ron, it's Her-my-knee!"
"This sounds more hotter, love. I have told it several –" Ron was interrupted by Hermione's chaste peck causing him to grin goofily. Harry rolled his eyes for a second before going back to searching.
"Did I mention that Draco and Astoria are snogging their magical heads off instead of searching?" Neville asked, walking downstairs, elegantly dressed.
Magical. That word triggered Harry. "Everyone are idiots!" Harry swore before hitting his head. "Including me. Accio! Come on Neville!" Harry caught hold of something as it flew to him and grabbed Neville and turned on spot. He could make out faint yells of 'good luck' and hoped against hope that he really had good luck. He knew that he needed it that day more than ever.

The familiar welcoming gates of Hogwarts stood before them. Excited chatter was heard from inside as Harry and Neville walked forwards. They passed by the pitch and soon reached the lake's bank where a podium was set up and people were giving their public speech, wands pointed at their throat to magnify their voices.
Harry spotted a grinning and very pink Ginny among the crowd. She was holding a cup along with another girl who Harry identified to be Demelza Robins. Luna was on her left.
The sight of Ginny brought an automatic smile to his face and he took a seat beside Neville on one of the chairs set up for the guests.
When the ceremony was done and the lunch break commenced, the boys found their way to Ginny and Luna who were having a plate in their hands.
"Look! Wrackspurts are near your head!" Neville exclaimed and Luna spotted him walking towards them with Harry. She placed her plate on the table and ran to hug the brown haired boy.
"I missed you so much, Nev!" Luna exclaimed when she neared him. Her uniquely embroidered blue dress shone in Neville's eyes.
"Me too. You look beautiful," Neville complimented. Luna smiled before leaning in. Harry met Ginny's eyes as the former couple kissed hello.
"Hi!" Harry said which came out in a hoarse shriek. Ginny closed her ears and made a face.
"For Moira's sake, I'm not deaf and I'm right in front of you, Mister!"
Harry smiled at her when she chuckled at his antics. She was always being the lovable girl he knew. "You are the most extraordinary girl, Ginny."
"Really? Well, maybe I am! Have you come across any other super heroic Witch of Creation?" Ginny joked, nudging his ribs with her elbow. Then she sobered up. "I was beginning to get furious you would not show up. Y'know. . . one year of not seeing each other and I thought. . . your heart changed paths. . . It isn't as if we purposefully fell for each other. . . That prophecy. . . Moira. . ." Ginny was beginning to blabber whilst Harry looked gobsmacked for a split second before hugging her fiercely.
"Of course not, m'lady! You are my everyday witch. I love you, Super-Ginny," Harry assured and pressed a kiss to her forehead. She smiled against his chest.
"You know about that prophecy too, then?" Harry asked slowly. Ginny nodded against him.
"Dad told me when I insisted."
"Two born, at the death of the seventh month and of the seventh of the seventh,
Shalt be the final avatars;
When the fight between the snake and the lion commenceth,
Victory will belong to the deservers."
Ginny patiently waited till he finished reciting the statements which entwined their destinies. When he did, she spoke softly. "Voldemort must have heard only the first half, right? That's what Master told me."
"Yes. Peter Pettigrew – that idiotic, impatient rat scurried to him after Trelawney foresaw the future. I s'pose it's worth it now. A beautiful girl is in my arms, after all."
"Prat!"
Harry chuckled and pulled away from the embrace when the start of the dance was announced. "A dance with me?"
Ginny smiled softly and nodded. He took her hand and led her to an empty spot away from the eyes of everyone else. The music was nothing but a low whisper of notes but they sounded so nearby when they swayed, under the very same oak tree their parents' had danced under.
Almost an eternity later, Harry tensed and pulled away. Ginny looked at him, smiling lightly.
"Tired already?" she asked and he nodded timidly, not meeting her eyes. "It's okay, Harry. You don't have to fear telling me that. I see that the sun is almost down so we must have had quite the energetic feet today."
Harry chuckled nervously. "Ginny. . . I know this is a silly question but. . . Do you – do you love me?"
Ginny looked taken aback for a moment before she chuckled. "Yes, silly. I'll love you if you love me like you always do." A part of Harry's tension melted away but the majority was still left so he thought to deal with it, no matter the consequence.
"I better ask the question then. I'm not the best at err. . . certain romantic speeches but. . ." Harry mumbled. Ginny looked amused and her expression did not change in any way when he got to his knee and offered her a red rose, tinted with a contrasting dark green at the edges. His own eyes glimmered as he spoke. "Marry me, Ginny Weasley?"
Ginny did not look surprised. She had already been expecting this to happen sooner rather than later. "Yes, Harry. I will marry you and together we will –"
"Face the world," they completed together. They smiled warmly at each other and Harry took out the box he was searching for before. He offered the glistening silver ring to her shyly and she chuckled before fingering it.
"Aw! Who knew that Harry Potter, the One who was raised by the Dark Lord, is such a big softie!" Ginny exclaimed, chuckling to herself at his shyness.
"Yeah, right," Harry retorted, switching back to his usual emotionless self. Ginny looked gobsmacked for a moment and a loose strand of her hair fell over her widened eyes, making her look comical. Harry failed to keep his face straight and burst out laughing, causing her to frown.
"What? I thought you turned back to the brooding Harry!" she defended herself, waving her arms around. Harry stopped laughing but the grin did not fade away from his face.
"If you wish so, I'll get back to my old self, Miss," he offered cheekily. She pouted before shaking her head.
"This is getting Ron-Hermione-ish. Pretending to fight," Ginny pointed out. Harry shrugged before tucking her lose hair behind her ear.
She smiled and they admired the enchanting nature before them for a few minutes. "There is nothing stopping us now, is it?" Ginny whispered. Harry turned back to her.
"With your permission, Miss Weasley."
Ginny smiled in response, her eyes turning doe like. Harry smiled back, getting lost in her brown orbs. Entrancing emerald swirled in her brown irises before he closed his eyes. He achieved the closest proximity from her by slowly leaning in. His warm and ragged breath tickled her skin before he finally met her lips with his. Their hands entwined by their side and with Harry's free hand on her waist, Ginny felt like she was in heaven. Harry's nervousness and tension dissipated into nothing with the girl he loved in his arms, feeling safer and loved than ever.
That was the best feeling, he realized; much better than the thrill of using dark curses or hearing the agonized cry of a tortured person; much worth for all the hard obstacles he faced in his life since he was just a year old; much greater than the world itself. It was the indescribable feeling which he had never felt before that very moment – the indescribable feeling of true love.
Harry and Ginny knew, at that precise moment when their lips danced against each other's, that not even Moira could part them. She might have entwined their destinies and their meeting but She will not have an hand in parting them. After all, Amour was Her Mother and love as true as Harry and Ginny's can never be broken; not even by Moira. . .
