Chapter Fifty

Story: Moira
Chapter Fifty: It's Harry Potter

After several minutes of abandoned dinner plates and protesting questions, everyone had calmed down thanks to Arthur's command of order. At the start, Ron and his friends (besides Draco) were enraged at Harry and Ginny for not letting them know of the suffering they were going through but when Luna's mind worked empathetically rather than logically, the teens could not help but feel sorry.

The parents and uncle, in Regulus's case, felt guilty for being in the dark and only after several rounds of reassurance from Harry and Ginny that everything was fine did they cheer up a little bit.

The Weasley brothers including Charlie who joined in for fun, were scrutinizing Harry for being Ginny's 'other half'. Harry did not care in the least and maintained his mask of expressionless face.

Everything seemed to be going well until Regulus questioned something which was at the back of everyone's mind until then.

"So. . . Ron, where will you stay?"

Ron blinked for a moment before looking at Hermione quizzically. She smiled lightly in reassurance. "Umm. . . I was wondering if I could stay here. . . at The Burrow so that I can get to know y'all. . ." His sentence was directed to the excited Weasleys.

"Of course! Of course! Merlin's beard, yes, yes!" Molly rejoiced. Ron smiled awkwardly when she hugged him. "You can stay here too, Sirius," she added.

Sirius shook his head. "It's safe to say that Ron deserves all the happiness he can get whilst here. I don't want to be a burden. Nevertheless, thank you, Molly."

"But dad –" Ron started to argue.

"No pup. . . I am not your d-dad anymore. He is –" Sirius shook his head at a bewildered Arthur. "And I have no claim over you anymore. . ." Harry knew that it was hurting every ounce of Sirius to proclaim that.

"I'm sorry, but you are wrong Padfoot," Ron said then smiled lightly. "Weasley dad is my father too but you are, according to me, my first father; the one who raised me, fed me; clothed me; schooled me; taught me tricks; ate with me and most of all, made me feel loved.

"I never really thought about mother when I was with you, Uncle Regulus, Harry, Draco and the rest of the Malfoys." Regulus and Draco smiled at the redhead. "You all made me feel loved. . . You taught me how it is to have a family – a wonderful one at that!" Sirius grinned tearfully at Ron as the rest of the Weasleys smiled. "Blimey, I hope I didn't by heart this from one of Hermione's prized drama books collection!"

Hermione turned pink and everyone laughed. "Ronald!"

"So Her-me-one, you know I really love you," Ron winked at her and she all but rolled her brown eyes. Harry and Ginny caught each other's eyes before turning away to avoid laughing. Draco, however, was laughing madly along with Neville and the twins.

"Her-me-one! Be my loved one!" Fred sang, dancing around his twin who was  pretending to be Hermione by reading an invisible book.

"Twins!" Molly chided as Ron swung an arm around Hermione's waist, stealthily taking her wand away before she could hex his brothers.

"Sorry, mum!" the twins chorused, not at all sounding sorry.

"Back to the topic," Sirius interrupted and everyone fell silent. "I'm planning to move back here since the madman, Voldy is gone and there is no reason to stay in Bulgaria when you both have finished schooling. Blimey! I missed this climate so much!"

Everyone laughed at Sirius's expression.

"I think we can make #12, Grimmauld Place palpable enough to live in. What do you think, dear ol' brother?" Regulus asked. Sirius snorted.

"I'm as young as a bud. Although I would hate going back there, I don't think we have any other option. Harry, you must sign some legal ministerial documents to be eligible to take in Teddy when you turn twenty-three or get married, mind you. It will take more than a week since the ministry is –" Sirius clicked his tongue and Arthur nodded his agreement.

"Too inefficient," Percy added.

"Alright. I'll help you with the repairs," Harry agreed. Draco groaned.

"I'll probably ask father to move back here too. I can't stay there all alone without you both!"

"What about me?" Theodore asked, feigning hurt. Draco patted his shoulder.

"You'll stay with me and my family, Theo." Theodore smiled in response.

"But, can I stay this night here?" Harry asked as Sirius and Regulus got up to leave.

"Of course dear!" Molly smiled. Arthur nodded too and the Weasley children grinned at him. He made himself smile back at the warm and loving family. In his mind, he wondered what he done to be on the receiving end of their affection.

Sirius and Regulus left soon after the dessert. Wanting to spend quality bonding time with Ginny and Ron, both of whom had just reunited with their family after years, the Weasleys all sat huddled together in the living room, doing several things.

Arthur and Ron were playing Wizards' Chess whilst Bill and Hermione tried to help them but they were shouted at to not help. Charlie, Luna and Neville were having a conversation about magical beasts and plants. Draco had already started packing their stuff to go home and Theodore was helping the blonde boy. Molly was stitching a yarn jumper along with a fiddling Ginny who was unable to get her needle straight. Percy had his nose buried in a book. He sometimes looked up and commented at the ongoing chess match. The twins were planning pranks as usual. Harry was shifting his gaze between all of them, feeling nervous for what he was about to ask a certain redhead.

A few minutes earlier, Lupin had sent an owl asking if everything was alright. Harry was relieved to hear that Teddy was not disturbed by any of the loud bangs during his short stay at The Burrow.

Thinking about Teddy increased his anticipation and he finally stood up and walked to the struggling Ginny. Molly looked up at him and smiled when she saw him approaching.

Clearing his throat before speaking, he said, "Ginny?" Ginny looked up with raised eyebrows.

"Get it over with quickly! I'm trying to pin these strands together!" she almost shouted. The twins snickered but Harry disregarded them.

"D'you fancy a walk?" Harry asked in a miraculously calm voice. His insides were, however, screaming.

"At this time?"

"Oh just go, Ginny dear. I'll teach you all about weaving tomorrow," Molly suggested and snatched the yarn ball and the quarter made piece of woolen clothing from Ginny.

"Oh, fine! But it better be good when I'm coming out at this time!" Ginny exclaimed before hurriedly walking to the door and stepping outside. Almost fifteen pairs of eyes were on him but he shrugged and followed her.

The cold wind pinched his cheeks and he shuddered a little. Ginny was far ahead of him, giving him a reason to run to catch up with her.

"I don't think I mentioned running," he joked. She chuckled lightly in response.

"So, what secret mission do you have next, Mister?" she asked in a curious tone.

"The mission is top secret, m'lady. I want you to close your eyes for that." Ginny raised her eyebrows. "I swear, I won't do anything. Do you trust my word?"

"Yes," she said softly.

"Close your eyes and let me lead you."

She did as she was told and a tough hand gripped her small one softly. The feel of his skin against hers sent a warm sensation up her spine, causing her lips to turn upwards in a smile. She let him drag her to an unknown destination, all the while basking in his comforting aura. After walking for a few minutes, which seemed like an eternal blissful oblivion, they stopped.

"Close your eyes," Harry whispered and his hand withdrew from hers, giving her a strange longing. "Now. Open them. Ostende amica mea quae digna est."

Ginny opened her brown eyes and was immediately awestruck by what she saw in front of her.

The lake in front of their topsy turvy house was enchanted very beautifully. Its clear waters shone brightly as if glimmering gemstones and glowing pearls were beneath it; as the moon's reflection danced in the waves, a breeze blew the leaves of a nearby tree which turned pink and heart like. A tiny leaf managed to land on Harry's messy hair and before he could shake it off, she took it and held it in her hand. The heart-shaped leaf melted away into glitters and she looked up at him, her eyes glimmering with gratitude.

"Oh my Merlin, Harry! You did all of this?" Ginny asked. Harry smiled shyly.

"It was just a matter of few spells and I easily got away with 'repairing' the garden whilst doing this," he mumbled. "And besides, it's all worth it if you like it."

"Like it? I love this, Harry!" she said and smiled at him. He waved his wand and got down to his knee, giving her a dark green rose.

"This is for you, beautiful." He offered it to her and she took it with another wide smile. Closing her eyes, she took in the sweet scent of the rose: it smelt of broomstick handle, of wildflowers and of Harry: it was surely infused with Amortentia, the love potion, in small amounts.

When she opened her eyes, she saw the glisten of a metal. "Ginny, I know I haven't asked you to go out with me. . . I am sorry about that. I hope, now that our every damn mission is over, we could. . . y'know, become Quidditch players."

Ginny raised her eyebrows with an amused smile. "Quidditch players?"

"Yes. You be the Chaser and I, the Seeker. Chase me to the ends of the earth and I will seek for you and only you till I die. As a token of my word, accept this promise ring from me and be my girlfriend?"

"Oh!" she exclaimed before smiling. "Oh yes! I'll accept it. I'll be your girlfriend. I-I can never comprehend that you were raised differently. You truly amaze me, Harry–"

"It's Harry Potter," he said with a crooked grin as he stood up. She smiled before she took the promise ring from the box and slipped it onto her finger. She joined her palms and closed her eyes. A ring similar to the one he had given her materialised from thin air and she offered it to him.

"This is my promise that I'll be with you," she said softly. He smiled before taking it from her and wearing it. "What made you think about this at this time of the night?" Ginny asked after a long silence as they stood, holding each other's hand and facing the lake.

"I wanted to return the favor for my birthday but more than that. . . Teddy. Remus told that I must either be twenty-three or m-married before I can take care of Teddy for a prolonged period of time," Harry explained. Ginny nodded. "Well. . . what do you think of it?"

"What do I think of that? Why would my opinion matter to you?"

"Because Ginny, if you hadn't already noticed. . . I am head over heels in love with you and I suppose – I. . . Merlin forbid. . . I plan on m-marrying you some – someday."

Ginny's eyes widened before it softened. Harry turned away, looking rather red. She held his chin and forced him to face her. Her eyes were glistening with happiness and she was practically glowing: Harry could not help but stare at her.

"D-don't freak out, okay? I just – I –"

"I know, silly. Shut up. I'm rather glad you spoke your mind," Ginny said affectionately, cupping his cheek. He licked his lips before leaning in. At the last moment, Ginny withdrew and he surely was disappointed when she winked. "You'd think I would snog you senseless when my family is looking at us?" she asked and gestured lightly towards the windows.

Black figures shuffled hastily away from the windows. Harry swore. He had let his guard down again. "Agrippa's hell, Ginny!"

"What?" she asked innocently.

"Why do you make me let my guard down?" he asked in a mock stern voice. She laughed.

"Me? I don't! You are quite careless, Mister. See how observant I am." She smirked.

Harry rolled his eyes before pulling her into his arms and tickling her. "Observant, much?"

"S-shut u-up! S-st-stop i-it! H-Harry!" Ginny exclaimed in between laughter. He finally stopped tickling her but did not let her go.

Leaning close enough to stare into her brown eyes, he whispered against her lips. "Let them be damned. I don't care. I want to snog you senseless as my birthday gift for you."

Ginny's heart skipped several significant beats as he smirked, his dark green eyes alight with passion and mischief. She almost started perspiring against his forehead but she made herself to pull him even closer and sealed the gap between them.

"Happy – birthday – you –! You –little – minx – Weasley!" Harry exclaimed in between her kisses. She giggled lightly against his lips before totally making him forget about everything other than her.

It's finally done! Moira has come to an end.

Although it's sad to announce its finish, I am quite happy and proud at the amount of reads and votes this book has achieved. Heck, it's going to reach 2k reads and surpassed 300+ votes already! Thank you so much!

The Latin spell Harry says literally translates to 'Show my love what she deserves'. It's not a real spell, I made it up.

Did you guys notice the title? If you did, comment! I'll let you know the answer in the next chapter or the thank you note. ;)

Also, the answer for the previous chapter's question is that both Harry and Ginny trusted each other by the time the matter spread to the whole family. They knew that they were each other's halves (not in the soul bond manner. I personally think it's cliche to add in my story lol, no offense) so why say it separately? Together, they are the Entities of Power. Their powers compliment each other and so does their love. I hope that's a satisfying answer.

I'm planning to end this story on Harry's birthday so the epilogue might be a bit late. It's ready but sentiments, you know?

And. . . Can you guys make the reads to 2k before I publish the epilogue? Tehe.

Thank you for reading and your support till now!

Love,
Miyoko x
