February Prompt - Saraswati in a Saree [CLOSED]

The month of love! How about writing a love story this month?

It is the 16th of February, and this year it isn't a random date. Today we celebrate Saraswati Puja, or Vasant Panchami, the start of Spring! Love is synonymous with Spring, and rightly so, as it blossoms like a flower in bloom, blushing in its vibrant hues. Saraswati Puja is celebrated by the people all over India in hues of yellow. Saraswati is the Goddess of knowledge, music, art, wisdom, and learning. In many parts of India, it is considered as an auspicious day for kids to write their first words with their fingers/pen/pencil. But the day  is also synonymous with something else. For the youth in West Bengal, it is also celebrated as a lovely version of Valentine's Day.  It isn't hard to imagine why the day turns into our very own version of Valentine's Day. Women are clad in beautiful sarees, and men adorn themselves in beautiful Indian kurtas. Quite romantic, isn't it? That's why, after the Anjali,  the youth can be seen enjoying themselves with groups of friends, or their partners, all wearing auspicious colours.

This is what this month's prompt is about. Are you going to your college with your friends, dressed up and all, and when your not-quite-a-friend sees you, do you feel the flutter in your heart? Is it the day you confess? Will he? Are you giving the anjali in your apartment's community hall, and you can't stop staring at your neighbour, who's wearing this beautiful brown kurta, that kinda matches your saree? Does he notice? Are you a girl out with your friends, clad in a yellow and red saree, and when you people walk into your friend's home to give anjali, do you suddenly feel the sparks fly when your eyes catch a guy wearing a white kurta, who also looks at you in some kind of way?

Add a girl in a saree, a boy in a kurta, and a bright morning when you all feel beautiful. What do you get?  Tell us in your stories!
