Chapter No 15: Light And Hope.

Abhira, dolled up in her black shimmery Shalwar kameez and silver jewelery and the few curls that escaped her high bun to frame her face, looked no less than a princess and she stood there.

Falling For The Villain

She chose the villain to be her lover.

Book no 2 in the series.
Written by Deewani

Her beautiful warm brown orbs sparkled as she held the freshly launched copy of her new book in her hands, her lips, painted in deep red, curled into a soft smile. Her hands trembled slightly as she turned to the cover page, tears of mixed emotions blurred her vision.

With trembling fingers, she turned to the cover page. The female lead was dolled up in an exquisite white shimmery gown that clung to her every curve stood, surrounded by various flowers, the moonlight bathed her features in a silvery glow, the smile on her face was gentle but her eyes sparkled with a mixture of life and hope. Despite her carefree appearance, she held a strange mixture of strength and vulnerability within her that seemed to shine brighter even in the darkest moments of life.

Beside her, stood the male lead. Abhira,s breath caught in her throat as she caught sight of the male lead. Clad in a stunning Black attire, he stood beside the female lead, his gorgeous black eyes, deep pools of darkness, shone with an intensity that was both dangerous and thrilling. His face was carved in perfect angles and lines that was too handsome for his own good. The moonlight danced across his features making him look like a figure carved from the night itself while he stood tall and imposing.

Together, they made a striking pair, a mysterious aura surrounded them as they stood on the side by side on the cover. The male lead,s brooding intensity and the female lead,s quite grace mingled with a hint of childishness created a mesmerizing dynamic that drew the eye and captured the imagination.

Abhira couldn't help but feel a sense of pride, her characters brought to life in such a captivating way. The artist had perfectly captured the essence of her story. The connection between the leads palpable even in a single image.

But as Abhira looked at the male lead, she felt her heart swell with a strange mixture of tenderness a something she could not spot. Her fingers trembled as she caressed the face of the male lead with a a touch that was almost reverent. He resembled Armaan. She had Armaan in mind while she was telling the description of the male lead. Her fingers trembling with emotion as she caressed the face. A pang of longing tightened her chest and a memory washed over her.

Flashback

It's beautiful.

Abhira spoke, her voice tinged with awe as she caressed the chain with a soft touch.

She turned to the mirror in Kartik,s room and struggled to tie the chain.

Abhira.

She turned hearing Armaan,s voice startled and watched as he stepped inside. His woody fragrance wafted into her nose sending a shiver down her spine.

Kya ker rahi ho?

Chain pehne ki nakam koshish.

She said with a soft smile, her heart pounding in her chest as a shiver raced down her spine.

He crossed the room in a heartbeat and stood in front of her.

Yeh kya ker rahe hain?

She asked startled as he turned her around, his grip tight over her filled with an emotion that left her puzzled.

She gasped whirling to face the mirror. Her heart pounded wildly in her ears as she gazed up at their reflection staring back at her.

Chain pehna raha hoon.

His voice was a like a velvety caress in her ears and she felt a sudden wave of heat wash over her catching the look in his eyes.... possessive.... Was it possessiveness?
His fingers grazed her skin giving rise to the feelings she wasn't able to name at that moment. She wanted to look away, to shield herself from his gaze but something in his eyes held her captive.

Flashback Ends!!!

Abhira gasped jolting out of the memory. She blinked stunned as she took into the scene unfolding before her eyes. The place was suddenly crowded by people who were too eager to get hold over the first copies of her novel.

Abhira felt a lump form in her throat and her eyes welled up with a delicate sheen of tears. Her heart swelled with a mixture of gratitude and disbelief and she turned to look at Sameer with tear-filled eyes.

Mujhe....

Abhira trailed off looking at him, her eyes burning with unshed tears. She found herself at a loss of words not knowing how to express her emotions.

Mujhe yakeen nahin aa raha yeh ho gaya.

Abhira said, her voice trembling, her emotions overwhelming her.

Sameer smiled, his eyes gentle and kind as he hugged her and spoke, his voice gentle and filled with delight.

You deserve it.

Abhira gulped softly, her breath trembled out and she responded to the hug with a gentle but trembling touch, too overwhelmed to speak.

It feels like a dream.

She chocked out, her voice trembling and she closed her eyes allowing her tears to flow down her cheeks freely.

It's a beautiful reality.

Sameer said softly in her ear tightening the hug and Abhira pulled back, a smile playing on her lips, her eyes bright.

Abhira watched the crowd around the small table, their faces full of eagerness as they grabbed copies of her novel. Abhira,s heart swelled with a sense of accomplishment at the sight.

Unknown to them, someone had clicked  Sameer and Abhira,s pictures.

On The Other side!!!!

Armaan breathed deeply. A slice of memory caught his heart as he gazed at his reflection in the mirror.

Acknowledging your emotions and vulnerabilities is a sign of strength.

Don't be so harsh on yourself.

Hug me Abhira.

The memory of the Library moment washed over him. The way she had held his hand, the way she had hugged him holding him as if he were a precious treasure made his heart swell with emotion.

His eyes fluttered close and he could still feel the ghostly warmth of her hand,  fingers slipping through his. He could still hear the soothing cadence of her voice whispering words of comfort he needed to hear, he could still picture the gentle curve of her smile, the sparkle in her eyes. His heart skipped a beat. A wave of warmth coursing through him.

He walked to the table and pulled the drawer open. Taking out his diary and pen, he started to write

What's this?

She rushed through the fragrant blooms, quickening her pace with each passing second, her dupatta swirling around her.

He stood midst the fragrant blooms, clad in a white cotton fabric looking breathtakingly handsome.

He looked at her. The sunlight bathed her form in a gentle glow and she rushed to him, lips curling into the brightest of smiles.

Phir milenge. Main aur tum aisi jagah, jahan na bandishein houn na hi ateet ke dhage.

Armaan closed the diary, the pen fell on the desk with a soft click, his fingers twirling.

His heart swelled with an overwhelming emotion he wasn't able to name and he gulped softly

Kya ho raha hai humein?

Armaan asked to himself, his voice barely above a whisper.

Armaan walked to the balcony and stood against the balcony door, staring into the beauty of the tranquil night, the moonlight casting gentle shadows across his room and he allowed himself a tender smile thinking about her.

Armaan whirled around as his ears caught a faint sound he couldn't make out.

His brows knitted together in a delicate expression of confusion. The room was now dark, the shadows dancing across the walls seemed to reach out for him.

F*K the power cut.

Armaan thought. His heart pounded wildly in his ears. The darkness, usually a source of comfort for him now felt haunting. The shadows playing over the walls seemed to reach out to envelope him. The air was thick with a sense of unease and he gulped softly. A cold shiver raced down his spine.

His heart raced, the tick tick of the clock echoing loudly in the stillness. The room seemed to close in around him, each frantic beat of his heart echoing the discomfort that enveloped him tightly leaving him shivering in it's grasp.

Then a gentle breeze caressed his cheeks, his heart felt a familiar warmth and skipped a beat.

Abhira.

He called out, his voice barely above a whisper and he turned around only to find her stepping in.

Abhira stepped in, a single candle held aloft, it's flames bathing her face in a golden glow. She forwarded the candle holding it in front of him causing his eyes to take a shade of muted gold.

Armaan looked at her as she walked to the stand placing and lightening candles there on the stand bathing the room in the soft glow of the candle light.

Armaan held up a candle and walked to her, his heart pounding as he stood holding the candle, it's flames casting gentle shadows across his features and he stared down at the candle, it's flames dancing in his gaze.

Armaan,s heart raced, caught between hesitation and longing for a connection. The air between them was charged with electricity, the flames bathed the room in a soft, golden glow and Armaan stared up at her, her eyes took a shade of muted gold, the candle light cast shadows across her features, the smile playing on her lips seemed to soften her otherwise sharp features, the curls that escaped her high bun framed her face in the most beautiful of ways.

Armaan.

She called out, her voice tender and filled with a love that threatened to crumble the walls he had spent so much time building in, around his heart.

He hummed, the sound breaking the silence that enveloped them.

She looked up at him, their eyes locked and he felt a shiver race down his spine.

Their eyes locked and she reached out taking his hand in hers, her fingers though trembling but steady.

Her heart raced with a mixture of hesitation, longing and a hint of curiosity as she asked, her voice barely above a whisper

Aap mujhe avoid kyun ker rahe hain?

His heart shattered loudly in his ears, a pang of longing tightened his chest and he gulped softly. Armaan placed the candle on the stand and held her hand gently. The action made her heart skip a beat and her cheeks turned warm, her eyes bright with affection as she stared at him.

He exhaled softly and said, his voice soft

Iska humare paas koi jawab nahin hai.

He pulled her forward, his fingers capturing her wrist in a firm hold.

Abhira gasped at the sudden action, her heartbeat quickening and her hand came to rest over his chest, right above his heart.

She looked up at him, her eyes wide and lips parted. A jolt of electricity coursed through her and her heart pounded against her chest like a wild drum.

Their eyes locked, the air between them crackled with a tension that seemed to come to life as naturally as breathing. She gulped softly, the heat radiating from his body made her shiver and she lifted her hand to cradle his face, a shiver racing down her spine.

She reached out, her hand gently brushing a strand away from his forehead and then brushing the strands away from his eyes.

She smiled softly catching her reflection in his eyes. Her breath caught in her throat and then she looked at his face, bathed into the soft glow of the candlelight. The air between them was thick with unspoken words.

Yeh kya ker rahi ho?

He asked, his voice a gentle melody that    wrapped    around her heart.

She smiled softly, her voice a tender melody as she spoke while her eyes smile into his

Aapki ankhon mein khud ko dekhne ki koshish ker rahi hoon.

She confessed, her voice gentle and full of sincarity.

Armaan looked at her, his heart pounding at her touch as she brushed strands away from his forehead and eyes.

Yeh kya ker rahi ho?

He asked, his tone surprisingly gentle, his heart raced with a mixture of fear and uncertainty.

He watched her, the shaky but gentle curve of her lips speaking more than words ever could.

Aapki ankhon mein khud ko dekne ki koshish ker rahi hoon.

His breath caught in his throat hearing her, his heart seemed to let go all the sense of rhythm, pounding against his ribcage with an intensity that sent a shiver down his spine.

Her words were gentle, as if she was confessing a secret. His heart pounded wildly against his chest and a shiver raced down his spine, a lump formed in his throat as he stared at her, his throat tightening with a mixture of emotions.

His eyes widened in shock, the air between them was heavy with unspoken words and unresolved emotions. Armaan,s heart raced, caught between disbelief and a need to shield himself from what's coming ahead.

Their eyes remained locked and tears blurred his vision, the unshed tears glinting in the candlelight.

He captured her wrist pulling her forward and his heart trembled as she cupped his face in her delicate hands with a tenderness that was almost overwhelming. His eyes fluttered shut, a tear trailed down his cheek and he found himself too overwhelmed to speak.

Hum itne ache nahin hain Abhira.

He said, his voice barely above a whisper as he leaned into her touch, unknowingly seeking more of her warmth.

Humari ankhon se khud ko mat dekha karo.

He added, his heart raced, caught between hesitation and his desire to surrender to the love and possibility she offered.

Abhira smiled, her heart brimming with love, her eyes warm

Chand ka kya hai.

She spoke, her voice gentle but laced with a love so intense that took his breath away.

Adhi toh usmein bhi raat hai.

Armaan,s eyes fluttered open at her words. Their eyes locked. She turned her head slightly and held a candle in front of her, it's flames bathing her features in a soft glow.

Now as he looked at her, his heart raced as he took into her appearance. The candlelight bathed her form in a glow that was almost ethereal, the sparkle in her eyes, the gentle curve of her smile, the warmth of her touch.... It all provided him a comfort and a sense of belonging he was longing for.

She brings light in your life.

The words echoed faintly in his ears but held a weight he could no longer ignore.

Armaan,s eyes fluttered close as the bright lights almost blinded his vision but Abhira,s grip on his hand was firm as if anchoring him.

She placed the candle   back on the stand and looked at him.

Armaan looked at her, his heart suddenly felt too shattered and heavy for him to carry as everything weighed down at him.

Abhira.

He called out trying to keep his voice steady but the tremor in his voice betrayed him as the emotionless facade threatened to crack anytime soon.

Armaan.

She called out, her voice carrying an edge of panic as she cupped his face with trembling hands.

Armaan looked at her and without saying anything, pulled her into a tender hug, hiding himself against her.

Abhira gasped. Shock flickering across her features, her heart raced, syncing to his and she responded to the hug with a gentle touch. Her fingers trembled holding the back of his shirt. A shiver raced down her spine and she closed her eyes.

The world around them faded into insignificance leaving only the two of them in their own bubble as they clung to each other leaving all the worries aside.

In that moment, as Armaan held her close, he closed his eyes and allowed himself to hope with his light in his arms.
