Erin

Hiding this pregnancy is so difficult. My morning sickness decided to make a visit overnight and the bathroom upstairs is in the middle of the hallway. I spent majority of my night trying to quietly throw up.
How the hell do you quietly throw up?

Now we're at at food drive for the homeless and needy at Grams' church and I'm super tired, and hungry.

"Enjoy." I smiled before yawning

"I see somebody didn't get any sleep last night." Melanie said quietly as we served the people

I chuckled "Girl" I kept my reply simple

"Same here. I felt so disrespectful doing that in his grandma's house but these pregnancy hormones just-"

"Girl we are in a a church." I nudged her

"Ok, it ain't Sunday." She joked

"You going to hell" I shook my head "And I ain't going with you."

"God forgives."

"Terrible." I tried not to laugh at her "I'm gonna' get some more yams from the back before I run out." I put my serving spoon down

As I was headed to the back, I saw Chris helping people take boxes of food to their car.

He's so fine

I kept my thoughts as pure as possible as I reached for the tray of yams.

"Oh no sweetie. I got it" Grams came from behind me

"It's fine Grams."

"I insist. Can't have you carrying heavy stuff with that baby." She whispered

I damn near dropped the tray after hearing her.

"Baby?" I pretended to be confused

"Mhm." She smiled

"I'm not-"

"Girl ain't no need to lie." She fanned me off

"Chris told you?"

"No, but you just did."

I held my mouth slightly agape in embarrassment

"Besides, I can smell that baby from a mile away. I knew the moment I saw you. That glow is different from any other glow."

I chuckled "Please don't tell my sister yet. I wanted to announce it after getting out of my first trimester."

"Your secret is safe with me." She smiled
"Well I'm beyond excited. Y'all are gonna' be great parents." She hugged me

I hugged back "Thank you Grams."

"Now let me carry this tray out for you."

After she carried the tray back to the table for me, I continued helping serve the food.

"Uh who is that talking to Chris?" Mel pointed out

"I don't know. Probably an old friend or something." I shrugged, not really paying attention

"She real friendly." She said

I finally looked over at them and the girl was hugging him a little too long for my liking. So I decided to make my way over there.

Chris

"It's been so long." Natalie hugged me

Natalie and I dated briefly in high school. We decided we were better off as friends, so that's how it remained.

"Yeah. I thought you were in Texas." I pulled away from the hug

"I am, just visiting for the holidays."

"That's wassup. Your dad still own the supermarket on Park Place?"

"Yup. I hear you have a tattoo shop not far from there." She nudged me "You always said you'd own one."

"Actually I own two." I said "I got another one in Atlanta, where I live now."

"Oh wow. Look at Christopher doing big things." She placed her hand on my chest

"Yeah, yeah...How you been though?" I nicely moved her hand

She's a lil too touchy for my liking.

"I've been-"

Erin approached us "Baby, I need your help in the-Oh hello." She acknowledged Natalie

"Hi." Natalie smiled

"Nat this is my girlfriend Erin, Erin this is Natalie." I introduced them

"Nice to meet you." Natalie reached her hand out

"Thank you." Erin lifted her gloved hands, showing her why she couldn't shake her hand "Uhm, baby I need your help in the kitchen."

I smirked at Erin, knowing what she was doing. She's trying to get me away from Natalie. I don't mind at all, I ain't ashamed to say I'll do whatever Erin wants and when she wants.
I ain't whipped or nothing I just respect my woman...A'ight I'm a lil whipped.

"Ok, uh Nat it was nice seeing you." I said before walking behind Erin

"You too Christopher." She called out

Once we got to the kitchen, Erin looked around like she had forgotten something.

"What you need help with baby?"

"You know what? I forgot." She innocently shrugged with a grin

"Uh-huh." I smirked

She was being possessive in just the right way. Honestly that shit is a turn on.
Show these bitches you don't play 'bout me, I like that shit.

"You ain't slick" I chuckled

"I don't know what you mean." She pecked my lips before walking off

I shook my head before going back to help with the boxes.

"Checkmate, bitch!" Mario shouted

"Language" Grams hit him in the back of his head

"Who's winning?" Erin came and stood beside me.

"Me, Mario just loud." I said

She chuckled "Good job baby."

Mario sucked his teeth and fanned us off.

This weekend has been real nice. Even with the whole mess with my grandad, I'm cool with it. He just better make sure he take care of my grandma and treat her better than before.
Because if I got to interfere, it ain't gone be pretty.

Something quick. Now I usually don't update on Thursday's but I figured it's the holidays. Why not?

And I know these last two chapters been dry, but I got some drama coming for ya. 😉
