"The rent is $650 a month. Utilities included." The man explained as we walked through the empty building

Here I am again trying to find a building for my photography studio. Things are going a little better this time, so let's hope it continues.

"And how much to buy it fully?"

"$7,500. Utilities won't be included if you buy."

"Whew, ok I'd just like to rent it."

I need to start small considering the fact that I'm doing this independently, I don't want to invest all of my money too soon. Not to mention, I'll still be working at the dentist office just in case I need something to fall back on.

"No problem. My schedule is pretty hectic this week but, we could go over paperwork and payments next Tuesday at 2. How's that sound?"

"Great. Thank you so much." I smiled

"Of course. Give me a call if you have any questions before next week." He shook my hand and gave me his business card

"Ok." I said before heading out of the building

My face had a permanent smile stuck on it from all the excitement I was feeling. I've accomplished one of my goals today and it feels absolutely great.

"Hey Yasmin, where's Chris?" I walked into Third Eye

I decided to drop by and take my baby some food since I'm off today and sometimes he's so busy he doesn't get to eat.

"In his office. You can go on back."

"Thanks."

When I entered his office, he was sitting at his desk on the phone.

"I don't care how much it cost, fix the damn leak. I'm losing money!" He hadn't noticed I came in yet

I closed the door and he looked up. His furrowed eyebrows relaxed as he smiled at me. I waved and sat his lunch tray on the desk, then I sat on the couch and waited for him to finish.

"And have Della reschedule everyone's appointments accordingly. If I have to fly there and fix it myself it's gone be a problem." He said before hanging up

No lie, seeing him in business mode has me soaaaked. But that's not important right now.

"Hey baby." He walked over to me

"Hey handsome. Everything ok?" I stood up and hugged him

"There's a leak at the shop in VA, so we have to close it down temporarily." He sighed, resting his hands on my hips

"Aw baby, I'm sorry to hear that." I played in his hair "Hopefully it's a speedy process."

"Thanks beautiful. Hopefully." He pecked my lips "You brought me food?" He grabbed the tray off his desk

"Yeah, just some shrimp and lobster Alfredo from Nino's and a sweet tea." I went and sat back on the couch

"Thank you baby." He squirted some sanitizer in his hands and rubbed it in "You ain't have work today?" He asked while looking at my attire

"No, I had a meeting with a realtor about my photography studio."

He sat beside me "Good things I hope." He opened his tray and briefly said his grace

"Yesss. I got the building." I gleamed

"Congratulations baby" he said before forking some food in his mouth

"I'm just renting it, but it's a start." I shrugged

"The start of something major. I can see it now, Erin Daniels, celebrity photographer."

I chuckled "Thank you baby. I would ask if you want to go out tonight to celebrate, but you probably not up for it."

"I'd love to, but I got a late session."

"It's cool, I'll probably go day drinking with Mel."

"We can celebrate right now." He wiped his hands in his napkin, closing his tray

He leaned over to me and began pecking my lips. His hand slid under my skirt, caressing my thighs as he layed me back.

"Baby." I blushed

"I wanna show you how proud I am." He said before sucking on my neck

I moaned "Go lock the door."

While he did that, I slid my panties off. They were so soaked I could see through them like a wet t shirt.

"Look who decided to come home." Melanie said as Erin entered the apartment

She hardly stayed at Melanie's place anymore since her and Chris started dating. Melanie was rarely home either, between work and their new boyfriends they only came to the house to change into their work clothes.

"You must miss me." Erin grinned, hanging her keys on the hook

Melanie sucked her teeth "A lil bit" she smiled

"Aww, I missed you to sister wister." Erin pinched her cheeks while talking in a baby tone

"Get off me." Melanie laughed, pushing her "Where you been all dressed up?"

"Well I recently just left from seeing my man about a horse." Erin bit her lip, grinning

"Girl." She chuckled "So that's why you all dressed up? To get some dick?"

"No crazy, I had to meet the realtor today. Your lil' sister about to have her own photography studio." Erin danced in her seat

"Really?" Melanie immediately got excited

Erin nodded, popping her tongue

"Ahh congratulations!" She hugged her tightly

Melanie knew Erin's biggest dream was to have her own photography studio ever since they were little kids that's all she talked about. Seeing her sister accomplish a childhood goal was important to her.

"Thank you." Erin cheesed

"We got to celebrate."

"I knowww, let's go day drinking."

"Why day drinking?" Melanie asked

"Because I'm trying to be in my man's bed by tonight." Erin got up

"I can't even argue with that." Melanie chuckled "Day drinking it is."

"I'm not suppose-posed to be drinking this much with my birthday 'round the corner." Melanie shook her head

"Girl" Erin fanned her off "Speaking of, what you doing for your birthday?"

"I'm having a birthday dinner. Few friends and family."

"I'll just get you a gift in advance because I ain't coming." Erin sipped her drink

"Mom and dad ain't gonna be there" Melanie pursed her lips

"Oh shoot, why you ain't just start with that? I'll be there"

"Even though it's be a nice gift to see y'all talking again."

"Maybe next birthday." Erin chuckled "Oue, let's play this game I saw on TikTok." She said before downing her eighth shot

"What?" Melanie hiccuped

"Let's...Ok wait." Erin said before scrolling through her phone and watching the video of the game to refresh her memory "Ok I got it." She took a drink from her margarita

They had mixed drinks and still ordered shots. The sisters were definitely drunk, but having a good time nonetheless.

"So, we put our phones in the center of the table...and whoever gets a notification from their boyfriend first got to pay the tab."

"Bettt." Mel nodded, sipping from her Long Island

They both put their phones in the middle of the table and ordered another round of tequila shots.
Good thing they took an Uber because neither one was in any shape to drive.
After the first round of shots, both of their phones dinged at the same time so they started the game over.

"I love my man, but now is not the time to-to be texting" Melanie said

"Oueee, you in love?"

Melanie gasped and covered her mouth "I said that out loud?"

"Mhmmm" Erin replied "Mario and Melanie sitting in a tree K, I- Oh, waiter another round please. My sister's in love." She got the waiter's attention

He nodded and chuckled as he went to get their shots.

"I guess I am." Melanie smiled

"That's so sweet. I'm- I'm so happy for you" Erin gushed before hiccuping

"No I'm happy for you. You ele-elevating in your life and it's beautiful to watch" she replied

"Awww sissster."

"Alright you two, last round." The waiter brought their shots

"But-But we're playing a game."

"Oh yeah...Wait, what was the game again?" Melanie asked

"Whoever-Whoever...Aw hell let's just drink." She laughed "I'd like to propose a toast." She raised her glass

Melanie followed suit

"Here's to honor" Erin paused "If you can't come in her, come on her." She giggled

"What?" Her sister chuckled

"I don't know." She said before downing the shot which now tasted like water "I gotta pee." She groaned

"You need help getting up?"

"No, my card is in my purse. Pay for the drinks" she slowly stood, making sure she had her balance

"I got it." Melanie pulled out her own card

"Aw thanks." She said before heading off to the bathroom

Soon as Erin walked off, her phone rang. It was still on the middle of the table, so Melanie picked it up thinking it was hers.

"Hello?" She hiccuped

"Hi, may I speak to Ms. Daniels?"

"Speaking." She rested her elbow on the table

"This is Dr. Gabe. I'm just doing a follow up to make sure everything went well with the procedure. How are you feeling?"

"I feel great...What procedure?"

"The abortion" the doctor answered

Hearing that, Melanie partially sobered up "What?"

"Ma'am is everything ok?"

She pulled the phone away from her face and blinked a couple times, finally seeing it was Erin's phone.

"Yeah, I just- I don't think I heard you correctly. Could you repeat that?"

"I was calling to make sure everything went well with the abortion." He repeated in a confused tone

"And when did I have this abortion?"

"Three weeks ago. Ms. Daniels are you alright?"

"...I'm fine. Uhm, everything's fine. Thanks for checking. Goodbye." She hung the phone up, still processing what she'd heard

Just then, Erin came back to the table.

"We should stop at the liquor store on our way home. You know I drink like our daddy." She chuckled, sitting down

"You had an abortion?" Melanie asked

Erin stared at her with a dumbfounded look, lost for words.
