A Day With Their Partner: Deidara
She couldn't believe she was doing this. In all her time living as a normal citizen, (Your Name) never imagined that things like this actually occur in real life. Releasing a low dispirited sigh, (Your Name) stands between Hidan and Sasori in an empty lot.
Old buildings stretched as far as said girl could see, covering the group from prying eyes. The odd trio were waiting to meet up with a connect from the black-market to purchase fresh cadavers; Sasori's orders. He needed some 'fresh meat' for the new experiments he had coming up. It was bad enough she was involved in this process, the uncomfortable woman had no desire to be apart whatever happened to the bodies next.
Mindlessly picking at her fingernails, (Your Name) looks into the cloud covered sky, looking at nothing in particular.
Purchasing dead bodies...Honestly, what has her life come to?
(Your Name) never imagined in her wildest dreams that she would end up living this kind of lifestyle. Before she met Deidara and the rest of the members of the akatsuki, her life was plain. Her existence consisted of going from work to home; nothing special. She often blended in with the background scenery, she was the epitome of a wall flower. She didn't mind. In fact, she never liked the spotlight, it always made her feel uncomfortable. She always played it safe, never once deterring from her unchanging schedule.The most unplanned thing that happened in (Your Name)'s life was the death of her parents. The traumatic events left her with emotional scars that no one could ever begin to understand. The death of her parents still haunted her to this day. The pain was so great that (Your Name) had no desire to vulnerably bare herself to others for a while.
Then life changed for her, she became a member of the akatsuki. Everyday was filled with one unexpected adventure after another. It showed (Your Name) that she didn't have to plan her life minute by minute. She no longer feared the unknown. She now welcomed the unexpected moments whole heartedly. It was a refreshing change of pace from her stale, monotonous life she was ready to commit to.
When Deidara left for his solo mission, (Your Name) thought things would become uneventful. She couldn't have been more wrong. Within the last few days, experiences for the (Hair Color) haired girl involved unpredictability, thrills and shocking outcomes. This being due to her cold, red headed partner. Sasori's reclusive persona was a bit difficult to adjust to at first, leaving (Your Name) with the mystery of how to deal with him. He was aloof, calculating and the odd fixation he had for both the living and dead didn't help in the slightest. The young woman certainly didn't forget Deidara's warning prior to his departure:
"Don't ever go into the lab with Danna alone, hm."
The blonde never gave reason to his unexpected forewarning, resulting in rattling (Your Name)'s nerves. With time, (Your Name) comes to learn that while Sasori maybe a bit dark and cynical, he wasn't that bad of a guy. Looking past his quirks, she sees that the Suna native just takes his job very seriously; more than one should. She acclimated well to her current position at an alarmingly fast pace. (Your Name) chuckles to herself.
"What is wrong with me?" She unknowingly thinks aloud
"Sort your issues later, focus on the task at hand." Sasori informs
(Your Name) sheepishly grins, "Right, sorry."
The sharpness in the aforementioned male's tone alerts (Your Name), his patients was running thin. Their contact was running extremely late, an hour to be exact. Aware of Sasori's intense feelings in terms of punctuality, (Your Name) could only imagine what would happen to the male once he shows up. Taking a few steps ahead, Sasori lets a few colorful words pass under his breath as he impatiently watches every entry way for the person.
Hidan grunts irritably, "What the fuck is taking him so long?"
"Maybe he's stuck in traffic?" (Your Name) suggests in an unsure tone
"Nah, Seijuro is taking his sweet ass time on purpose. It's probably payback for last time." Hidan huffs
Confusion sinks into (Your Name)'s features, "What happened last time?"
"Last time we met up for a trade off, the police showed. We left him to face the cops alone." Hidan snickers
"Not without taking what we came for." Sasori adds
Albeit her curiosity ate away at her, (Your Name) decided against asking what they traded. She knew she would quickly regret asking for the answer.
"It was a real cluster fuck. On top of that, Deidara blew up a few of the cop cars as we escaped." Hidan sighs happily at the memory
(Your Name) lightly giggles, "That definitely sounds like a something he would do."
Hidan's magenta orbs land on Sasori, "Speaking of, when's blondie due back from his solo mission?"
Sasori spares him a glance over his shoulder, "Do I look like his keeper?" He responds "Ask her. She'd know and care more than I do."
The young girl glances Sasori's way, "I don't know every move Deidara makes."
Sasori scoffs, "You could've fooled me." He bluntly counters
Leaning his back against a building wall, Hidan folds his hands behind his head. The Jashinist watches the conversation between the two unfold.
(Your Name) cocks her head to the side, "Does it really seem that way?"
Hidan smirks, "Are you kidding? When he's around, you see him and only him. It's like the dumb blonde's become your oxygen." He chimes in
"That's not true..." (Your Name) retorts
Hidan leans off the wall, "You two are fucking around aren't ya?"
Quickly backing away from the foul mouthed male, (Your Name) nearly chokes on her own saliva. The thought of her and the fornamed male doing lewd things to one another was enough to frazzle the pure hearted girl's mind.
(Your Name) works to explain herself, "I'm not! We're not! I-It's not!" She frantically stammers
Trying to calm herself, (Your Name) takes a few breaths. Once she's back to her normal state, the shy female faces Hidan.
"It isn't like that between us! I just happen to think he's...cool is all." Averting her gaze, (Your Name)'s pink hued cheeks turn a dark shade of red
Grinning, Hidan closes his eyes, "Whatever you say."
Instead of calming her, (Your Name)'s rationalization brings about misplaced feelings of disappointment. As (Your Name) stares off into the distance, a pair of dull brown eyes bore into the side of her face.
Sasori pities the poor girl. Not only for her ability to be so dense but her poor choice in company. He concludes that her naivety would be her downfall at some point. If her lack of self awareness didn't get her first that is...
Sasori chuckles humorously, "What an idiot."
(Your Name) turns to him, "Hm? Did you say something Sasori?"
Sasori reverts to his usual indifferent self, "Nope."
A black van maneuvers it's way through the maze of old buildings with ease. The over sized car comes to a full stop in the middle of the lot.
"It's about fucking time." Shoving his hands in his pockets, Hidan casually strides toward the shady looking vehicle, Sasori following closely behind.
"Hurry up will you?" Sasori calls out
Doing as she's told, (Your Name) jogs to fall in step with the guys.

Evening fell by the time (Your Name) and Sasori stopped off at a hotel for the night. Time has passed since she retired to her room and she just couldn't sleep. The sleepless woman tosses and turns for what feels like hours. The clock on the wall in the distance ticks along, cutting through the suffocating silence.
(Your Name) settles on her side, sinking further into the flocculent mattress below as it hugs her figure in a comforting manner. The light of the moon pours into the room, illuminating it with a soothing glow. The radiant sphere's attempt to quiet said woman's restless soul is unsuccessful. (Your Name)'s (Eye Color) hues set on the opened window in her room, watching as the curtains dance against the wind. Sighing softly, the (Last Name) rubs her feet along the sheets of fabric on the bed.
(Your Name)'s endless thoughts are what stopped her from entering her world of dreams. Her thoughts raced a thousand miles per minute. She couldn't stop thinking about the things Hidan and Sasori said. She had never viewed Deidara in that light. But now that she had, it felt as if things changed. Her thoughts were now focused on things she hadn't given much thought to beforehand.
"Is he dating anyone now? Deidara is kind of cute, I wouldn't be surprised if he was taken by someone else. Is he seeing someone outside of the akatsuki? Wait, what if he's dating Konan?!"
Shaking her head, (Your Name) immediately dismisses the thought from her mind.
"That's just ridiculous, there's no way that Konan's his type. But if she's not, then what kind of girl would be his type? ...Would I be his type?" (Your Name)'s eyes widen in shock as she quickly sits up.
A scarlet colored blush forms on (Your Name)'s cheeks, "W-What is wrong with me? What am I thinking?"
Groaning tiredly, (Your Name) lays back down and closes her eyes, forcing herself to go to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Deidara sits atop a building ledge to admire his latest handiwork. Heavily sighing, he watches as the remainder of a bridge falls apart he's just destroyed. Usually he would be jumping for joy, but the bomber was running on fumes at this point. What little energy he had left was conserved to travel back to his partners. He couldn't stop off for the night at a motel like they had. He'd end up sleeping until the last minute, in turn he would incur the wrath of his easily angered partner. A pissed off Sasori was the absolute last thing he wanted to face when reuniting with the pair.
Skillfully leaving the area undetected, Deidara slips on a back road to make it back to his car. He curses himself for parking so far away. On high alert, Deidara keeps his ears open for any suspicious noises. The breeze rakes its cool fingers through Deidara's golden locks. His weary sapphire orbs lock on the star filled sky above. His thoughts somehow land on (Your Name).
"How is she doing?"
"Is she all right?"
He couldn't help but allow his concerns to plague his mind. Deidara knew that dealing with Sasori wasn't an easy task. She had been stuck with him for the last few days. He only hoped that he hadn't put (Your Name) through the wringer in his absence. Reaching the vehicle, Deidara allows a strangled yawn to pass his lips. Getting in the car, the blonde starts the engine, pulling off shortly after.
Deidara glances at the empty passenger seat, where (Your Name) usually sits. Unmindfully, the former heavily sighs. Directing his attention back to the dark road, loneliness passes through Deidara, a feeling he was well acquainted with. The emptiness he momentarily escaped became noticeable once more. From the beginning of his life to now, it consisted of him being completely alone. No one ever wanted him for who he was, they were only interested in his abilities. Perhaps that's why he always felt the need to boast about his abilities, to prove his worth.
(Your Name) never makes him feel like that... When he met her, she carried an air of innocence around her, unconsciously drawing Deidara in. It helped remind him that virtuousness hadn't entirely vanished from the cold world he had come to know. He admired that she made him feel as if he could just be himself, like he didn't have to try. Most of all, without knowledge of it, (Your Name) began to fill the void he felt inside. A small smile graces the features of Deidara's visage. If asked, he'd never own up to it but he was happy with the prospect of seeing (Your Name) again.
Was that weird?
