Episode 27: Motto of the Star

*Starting Scene*

Callahan continues to descend from the elevated landscape while numerous gun fragments are released. Simultaneously, the Irish intently observes the water below him with the metallic parts encompassing him beginning to gather at the sole of his boots, eventually forming a pair of Microguns. Then, several meters from touching the mass of liquid, Callahan presses the weapons' trigger that have been altered to be where his feet are situated and fires them so they would keep him airborne.

Depicting that, Suta horizontally swings Omega in Callahan's direction to launch a teal-colored blast as he's soaring southward.

Callahan instantly dodges the strike, compliments of the Microguns propelling him forth and remains in contact with the fellow's lower limbs.

Suta promptly adjusts his trajectory after coming short of the water with Iota, having caused some of the substance to spread around from his attack hitting it. Doing that, the poncho-wearing individual persists his chase of Callahan as he switches Omega to his left hand via momentarily tossing it and positions the appendage at the rear of Iota.

Callahan abruptly veers himself to confront Suta, retaining his mobility constant with the Microguns, while hoisting both hands onward to repetitively shoot his Glocks.

Suta swiftly evades the projectiles through swaying the aura-based board in different angles and summons multiple Deltas to release a barrage with them.

In response, Callahan mimics Suta's action to prevent any physical harm as he ultimately decides to jump off the Microguns. This permits the criminal to perform a corkscrew flip that hurls him forward somewhat amidst Suta passing under Callahan since the shaggy-haired gentleman was rapidly narrowing the gap. Concurrently, Callahan swaps weapons to bring out his Knight MK-85 within both hands and quickly drops back to his other tools, which were assembled there during his brief ascension. Once he accomplishes that, while the Microguns resume their fire to sustain his floating, the lad twists his upper body westward sufficiently and launches a silver laser towards Suta.

Suta, containing his posterior toward Callahan, immediately detains Iota's flight before shifting its stance vertically so it would block the beam while forcing the teal-eyed guy to be slanted.

As a result, Callahan's recent effort is neutralized, however, this isn't what concerns him and thinks while slowly canceling the MK-85's production, "He's been doing that lately. Avoiding or making his stuff fend my attempts off. He must be weakening in some manner." The young man hastily commences to travel towards the left, implementing a second laser at an apparent opening.

Suta witnesses that without bating an eye and has a few of the Deltas from earlier to deter the beam while repairing Iota's placement. While that transpires, the Caucasian horizontally swings Omega again as the blast it generates splits through the gems and the laser that has yet to dissipate.

Callahan desperately ducks, leading to the assault barely missing the top of his head, prior to discerning the fast advancement of five Deltas. Possessing no time to react, the coated character's torso is struck by the gems in succession as he inadvertently dismounts his left hand from the MK-85. In addition, Callahan's pushed away from the Microguns, although instantly eludes plummeting into the mass of fluid via pointing his rifle at it and applies a beam to suddenly ascend high above the area. Following that, the Microguns are dismantled while journeying towards their manipulator as Callahan maintain his focus on Suta with intensity displayed. This only lasts for a minuscule period because of Callahan registering that he received damage to his right shoulder from him absentmindedly touching the blast he initially dodge when propelling himself skyward.

Suta hurriedly draws Omega over his head, rejoining his right hand to the tool's grip, while sternly watching Callahan and delivers one more attack upon noting his adversary's escalation steadily coming to a halt.

Callahan depicts the oncoming blast as he's aware that Suta had timed the strike perfectly, however, refuses to let things be and forges the S&W Model 29 in his right hand so a portal will accept the threat.

Then, Suta's seemingly caught off guard by the dangerous aura slamming onto the bottom face of Iota thanks to the portal concluding beneath the object and sends the star into the air.

Callahan immediately pops up near Suta via a second portal he made, trying to seize the opportunity presented, while aiming the Model 29 forth.

Suta views Callahan due to the impulse of his separation from Iota causing him to turn counterclockwise as curiosity is exhibited, anticipating an opening in space to appear.

To Suta's astonishment, Callahan's gun releases a teal-colored blast upon the entity's abdomen that promptly invokes a giant explosion following its swift, horizontal expansion. The sheer power of the eruption shoves the indigo-eyed guy backwards greatly, spinning uncontrollably throughout, until falling into the enormous collection of water with a significant splash produced. Roughly a minute later, Callahan swims to the surface, securing that he doesn't sink under the liquid again via his legs rhythmically paddling, as he stares at the blast gradually fading and gingerly talks to himself. "He had no idea I captured one of his attacks with my portal gun. It's reasonable to suspect that he can be a victim of his own capabilities, considering the destructiveness I've observed come out of it."

Not long after, Callahan feels a gentle tap from his cranium, alarming him, and hastily raises his attention to the source as he discovers Suta sitting on Iota with his legs crossed while nonchalantly hovering there. Soon enough, the white-haired fellow frantically submerges himself to distance himself from Suta while assembling a Benelli Black Eagle Shotgun and ultimately directs the tool upward.

Suta keys onto the shotgun amidst it firing while smirking before having Iota simply recede to evade, but neglected to account for the explosive round the weapon utilizes and is pushed rearward further than he desired. Despite that, the lad is unfazed and continues his lackadaisical personality with his vision glued to where Callahan's located.

Callahan, deviating his gaze to his left hand as it holds the Model 29 now, thinks with confusion brimming while keeping the shotgun lifted via his right appendage, "Was I too slow in the execution? Dang it." He reverts his concentration to Suta's vicinity, unable to attain a good look of his foe since the water's obstructing him. After that, Callahan scrambles to shield himself, compliments of a teal radiance rapidly traveling towards the male, and does so via altering his positioning sufficiently to point the Model 29 at the assault while wielding his eastern limb downward. Within that exact instance, the S&W's barrel demonstrates multiple holes while absorbing the projectile as he persists thought process. "It sucks I lost the element of surprise with that failure. He's gonna' be wary, although that could be advantageous to me as well."

Suta follows up his current strike with a bunch of Deltas arriving above him, containing his left hand aimed towards them to orchestrate the gems at Callahan by eventually flicking his appendage southward. This leads to the Deltas traversing around their controller and the streak of aura as they almost collide with Callahan, however, are drawn towards the Model 29 thanks to the mighty vacuum it's implementing.

Callahan sees that occur and hurriedly tries to switch his placement via swimming onward. Once he achieves that, presently being granted a better visibility of Suta, the Irish sends out another shot with the tool in his right limb.

Suta easily withstands the explosive round, ceasing Omega's blast while resting it on his entwined legs and mounts the palm of his left hand atop Iota as he mutters in amusement, "Incredible. Your guns aren't hindered from getting wet. Gotta' love technology." The star portrays a knowing grin and narrows his eyes a little. "Especially what was used to make you and them."

Meanwhile, Callahan decides to forge a portal that brings him behind Suta with water secreting from it as he has the S&W locked onto the target. Sadly for him, the indigo-eyed gentleman is interrupted by a Delta ramming against the bottom of his jaw, the impact quickly launching him back through the opening prior to it shutting.

Suta's temporarily splattered by the substance until it abruptly disappears like it never happened. A couple of seconds later, the young man steers his sight towards his upper left as he depicts one more portal poised diagonally with a shell promptly exiting it. Again, Suta receives the ammunition due to it merely journeying through the entity's constitution, resulting in the shot erupting not much after it sunk into the mass of liquid.

Callahan glances at the region that the shell landed, which involves him contorting himself towards the left because of the opening he just crafted with the Model 29 stationed ahead of him roughly five meters away. Also, the criminal's carrying an Anti-Tank Rifle in both hands while showing a hint of exasperation before navigating his focus to the portal and fires, producing a strong recoil that shoves him rearward.

Suta blocks the second shot with a few Deltas, intrigue enveloping him. "He's not the type to do things unnecessarily. I can tell he's searching for the opportunity to severely effect me by use of these calculated moves." The poncho-endowed character detects an opening in space towards his right at a minor range from his location and witnesses an explosive round. In avoidance, Suta has Iota swiftly twist clockwise, making the Caucasian momentarily confront the projectile prior to flying towards his left. During that, the teal-eyed individual views the shot erupt at the precise spot he was formerly situated. "His speed in changing weapons is amazing. Either he practiced a lot to do that so fluidly or it's an additional factor of him being a cyborg."

Upon the conclusion of that statement, a big splash of water ascends from where Callahan was positioned below amidst the most recent onslaught, propelling himself with a single Microgun in his left hand, and hastily scans the area to find Suta.

Suta immediately unfolds his legs to perch his feet on Iota while attentive of Callahan's rise from the collection of liquid via possessing his head shifted eastward.

Callahan soon administers his vision towards Suta, who's at his left, as he directs the Benelli Black Eagle remaining in his right hand's grasp accordingly for it to shoot the enemy.

Suta eludes the explosive round via leaping high enough from Iota and then does a front flip in the air while swinging Omega, mildly grazing Callahan's shot as it was transgressing.

Following that, the concentrated assault unleashed by the hybrid sword rapidly soars towards Callahan with his weapon's bullet erupting, regardless of Suta's response. As contact is about to occur between him and the ray, the coated guy relinquishes his grip of his Microgun to slam his right foot onto it to hop a couple of meters over his tool so the blast would miss him. In the meantime, Callahan retains his shotgun fixed towards Suta while thinking, "Is he vulnerable again?" He eventually issue one more explosive round, compliments of him mounting his feet atop the lone Microgun that stayed airborne from it hurriedly resuming its southward firing upon the limb's interaction with it.

Suta completes his body rotation with his back to Callahan, although this doesn't signify he won't be able to counter the oncoming strike. The reason for that is thanks to Iota protecting the lad as he plants his feet on a pair of Deltas that materialized under him, briefly masked by the smoke that was born from the bullet he previously dodge. Doing that, while there's a new explosion forged from Iota obstructing Callahan's attempt, Suta torques his constitution forward and sweeps both legs rearward to hurl the two gems he's standing upon towards Iota with an impressive quantity of strength.

In conclusion, the Iota's instantly sent towards Callahan, twisting around randomly, while the two items that struck it pursue the aura-based board.

Callahan reacts to the Iota's manner of advancing with confusion, but avoids allowing that to distract him from shielding himself and hoists his left hand towards the trio of attacks. In the blink of an eye, the male's limb expels a wave of fire from his K-ton Hidden Flamethrower, hoping it would eliminate them. Suddenly, Callahan sees the three weapons separate from each other, the gems going in opposite directions while Iota climbs towards the sky, as this compels the Irish to deviate his focus to keep an eye on them.

Capitalizing without delay, Suta has half a dozen Deltas rush towards Callahan via journeying through the wave of flames his opponent continues to generate as one of them jams into the tool's opening while the rest harshly pelt the gentleman.

Due to getting clogged, the K-Ton self-destructs while leaving heavy damage to Callahan's western appendage.

At the same time, Suta faintly touches down onto the substance beneath him with his right foot before it's replaced by a tiny patch of land. Not long after that, the star only uses that limb to jump onward, reaching a small distance until Iota promptly descended for him to be perched on it yet again while flying towards Callahan, fast.

Callahan immediately veers his sight to Suta, temporarily gesturing his left hand sideways to create a Precision Sniper Rifle within it.

Moderately dumbfounded by Callahan's choice, Suta cocks his head left and stations Omega towards his western sector with his left appendage having a reverse grip on the hybrid sword in contrast of all the other instances it held the blade's handle.

Seconds from his adversary finished depleting the gap between them, Callahan hastily maneuvers his left foot behind the Microgun as he forces it to point towards Suta via elevating both legs forth while still releasing a storm of bullets.

Suta repairs his head's angling while effortlessly slashing through the bombardment as he sends another blast at Callahan, however, soon learns that the white-haired guy already prepared a shot with his PSR because he quickly commandeered it towards the Caucasian, supporting the rifle via his right hand grabbing its barrel.

Precisely when he deployed his strive for victory, Callahan solemnly thinks, "It won't slip through him like it did earlier. And with this gun, I've never..." He trails off while watching the lone projectile his PSR expelled going towards Suta's chest, the best spot to target presently since the shaggy-haired fellow's being is turned to the right as the shot evade accidentally crashing into Omega's recent assault by traversing below it.

Suta administers his gaze to the ammo almost hitting him, containing no room to block with any of his resources or even deflect it. Even with that fact though, the individual doesn't exhibit a shred of worry as he abruptly weaves towards his right, eluding the object.

Callahan's stunned during the completion of his previous thought. "Missed..." The young man is then struck by the teal ray Suta implemented, breaking through a considerable sum of his body prior to a grand eruption expanding.

Suta swiftly detains his progression to permit the explosion to die down, observing where the last bullet was aiming for and portrays amusement. "His alteration in tactics really could mess with anyone." The entity resets his vision to the region in front of him, eventually obtaining a clear depiction of Callahan again.

Callahan, sprawled onto a piece of grassy land Suta crafted so the Irish wouldn't sink into the water for a second time, no longer possesses the PSR in either of his hands as the Microgun is lying at the terrain's edge that's situated southward from the criminal.

Suta ultimately goes to Callahan, making Iota vanish once he's near the cyborg so he could stand atop the landscape, as Omega's dangling next to his right with the opposing limb that isn't wielding it place upon his waistline. Following that, the character smiles while leisurely remarking, "Here's a little validation to your relentlessness in fighting me. A star has much less trouble hurting their own kind than everything else in existence. Very few stuff can straight up destroy us. A black hole would be an example. Though I'm sure you figured that out. You continue to breathe 'cause of that modification you underwent with parts of a star's core."

Callahan's silent, his eyes shut, with no signs of movement whatsoever.

Suta raises his left eyebrow out of suspicion. "Maybe I used the wrong word. You proved that you don't require oxygen to live." The lad chuckles amidst glimpsing eastward. "Anyway, you'd have the right idea."

Callahan's eyes haphazardly snap open while the Model 29 is reassembled at his left hand that was close by his midsection, impulses the upper half of his constitution to stretch his western appendage at Suta and fires the aura it entrapped during the period he was submerge in the water. As that happens, the male comments while witnessing the eruption that proceeded the beam's connection with Suta's anterior, "In that case, I went with combining the gems my portal gun caught as well. That oughta' increase this one's lethal output."

Omega's randomly thrust towards Callahan, stabbing his abdomen with its two halves united. After that, Suta's voice mildly resounds from inside the explosion while maintaining a laid-back demeanor. "You're right. I just mentioned that your determination in battling me isn't meaningless. It's possible for me to kill myself. The simple hindrance to that is me fooling you."

Callahan emits a disgruntled conduct and rapidly forges a IMI Desert Eagle within his right hand before directing it towards Suta, delivering a silver sphere as a result.

With the orb hurriedly clearing the smoke plaguing him, Suta's body disperses from the destructive force demonstrated by the projectile, although it's already known that this doesn't equal to the gentleman's defeat.

Frustration establishes itself onto Callahan's personality as he rushes backwards a bit, despite lagging from using the Desert Eagle, while staying low. A moment later, the gunner properly gets to his feet while facing Suta's intangible form and grovels, "I lost my chance again...!" Callahan promptly settles down his discontent to calmly utter, "At least I can surmise that I have a few minutes from when he begins dodging 'til becoming invincible. I know what to do now." The grassy terrain he's poised on unprecedentedly enters into an aura state, frightening him somewhat, while dropping towards the mass of liquid.

Preventing Callahan from entirely submerging, Suta's right hand takes shape while regaining its grasp of Omega since it inadvertently relinquished the sword during the wielder's impalpable condition. Accomplishing that, the teal-eyed guy's structure is fully restored as Iota supports him to be floating above the water and plainly speaks. "You didn't comprehend the last piece of info I gave you, did you? Perhaps you weren't listening well."

Callahan's overcome by curiosity, however, puts it aside for the time being so he can contend with his current circumstance. He does this via planting the muzzle of the Desert Eagle upon Omega, instilling a shot that eradicates the foe's weapon without a problem. Right after, Callahan totally sinks into the water while grimacing a tad and thinks with his concentration towards the cracks that were made from Omega piercing him, compliments of his ripped attire, "Not the best idea..." He looks at the tool within his right limb as he keeps on thinking, "Especially with the side effect of this gun. I'm able to resist some of the strongest EMPs, but this strikes a certain cord in me that I can't tolerate utilizing it excessively."

Simultaneously, Suta nonchalantly gestures both arms towards opposing directions from one another, summoning numerous Deltas along them.

Callahan quickly peers towards Suta's general location, unaware of the fellow's recent action, and mentally adds with annoyance displayed, "Which is exactly what I've been compelled to persevere through thanks to him!" The coated individual hastily hoists his hands skyward, having both gripping the Desert Eagle as he prepares one more assault.

Suta steers his encompassed limbs above his head with the Deltas ascending to a single spot while lined up to take an appearance that resembles Omega via the radiance they're secreting, but much larger overall. Soon after, the items combined to make a giant, aqua-colored joust as the star clutches its handle and rotates it forward to point it south, causing a sizable splash from half of the weapon coming into contact with the substance below.

Callahan registers the new tool of combat with a hint of concern demonstrated before urgently firing the silver sphere from the Desert Eagle. To his dismay, the lad sees several parts of the joust commence spinning independently from each other while immediately causing the water to swirl, creating a whirlpool. In the meantime, the escalating projectile is hurriedly annihilated upon colliding with the tip of the opposing weapon as Callahan feels himself getting drawn towards the joust.

Suta grins amidst momentarily retracting the now drill-like item until driving it back down, fervently stating, "Dig deep, Sigma!"

Callahan panics as Sigma swiftly tears through the Desert Eagle and sustains the attack to his face. Because of that, the young man is pushed southward while the afflicted area's penetrated by the joust, mostly Callahan's right cheek. Luckily, Callahan was fast enough to minimize the damage via altering his positioning to slip under Sigma, although that worsened the status of his face a little.

Suta instantly notices Callahan's escape through contorting himself rearward accordingly to view the sector behind his present placement. As he does that, a few Deltas are exhibited at the aqua-haired guy's posterior and promptly dive into the nearby liquid.

Callahan gazes upward from hearing multiple, muffled plashing noises while struggling to evade the gems due to the strong pull of Sigma continuing. This leads to the indigo-eyed character being pelleted once more and strives to deliver a shot via assembling his PSR in both hands again, taking aim of Suta despite the situation. Following the launching of the bullet, Callahan watches the bullet become derailed by Sigma suddenly shifting closer towards the criminal as it eventually rams against Callahan's front region.

Suta, now tilted horizontally to achieve his weapon's landing on Callahan via making Iota angled perpendicularly from the water, bluntly remarks, "You're gonna' die if nothing changes." He then performs a full rotation to bring Callahan out of the mass of substance, hurling him fairly high into the air so the entity could depict his enemy appropriately with his arms extend forth. "Are you okay with death? Is this what your wish amounts to?"

Callahan glares at Suta, considering he's confronting him during his precarious location at an upside-down stance, and tenaciously shouts with both arms stretched towards their respective sections as he kept his hold of the rifle inside his right hand, "It's the ultimate freedom! Why would I be afraid of it?!" The Irish starts to descend towards Suta while switching guns to possess a Glock within each. "But I wanna' be able to experience that without dying!" Callahan points both tools to Suta, mixing in a lot of emotion to his speech. "It's what I desire the most! Don't ever dare question that again!"

Delight brims from Suta as he earnestly declares, "I'm so lucky to have found you and V! You're the same, and yet, different!"

Callahan neglects Suta's comment while firing both Glocks the second he bridged the gap between them to a minor distance.

Suta temporarily sways onward to build a bit of momentum for him to swing Sigma skyward, slanting himself backwards in the process.

Callahan rushes to shield his upper body since that's where Sigma's headed via directing his left Glock's assault towards the joust after keying onto the fact his barrage simply passes through Suta one more time. Obviously, the projectile wouldn't do any better than the cyborg's previous efforts that failed, however, it at least propelled Callahan sufficiently so Sigma would fall short of connecting with his constitution. Not only that, Callahan's able to navigate himself to be poised upright while persisting his plummeting, but is quickly baffled in discerning that Suta has removed his left hand from Sigma amidst also facing towards him because of the star stealthily spinning around.

Suta did that to make Omega return, containing his western limb extended sideways, with its blade split and overflowing an immense quantity of aura while the poncho-wearing gentleman smirks. "Which is why I can grant your wish through a separate method!" The Caucasian partially gyrates his left hand's wrist prior to hastily performing a horizontal slash to release the mighty blast that Omega has charged up.

Callahan, allotted a minuscule period to decide his means of countering, swaps his Glocks with a Desert Eagle in his right hand as the Model 29's inside his left appendage's grasp before mumbling out of vague amusement, "Wow... I'm actually screwed..." His torso is soon hit by the beam, causing another eruption that further penetrates through the guy's anterior, while getting shoved rearward. After flying in that direction for a while, Callahan drops into the water as his guns are dismembered and descends far against his will until his posterior softly collides with the bottom. This is concluded with the gun user steadily shutting his eyes and passes out, although eventually awakens to discover he has unprecedentedly exited the liquid.

Suta looks at Callahan via commandeering his head eastward while sitting on the patch of land at the beginning of their battle, it having reverted to that initial state, with his legs crossed and arms interlocked. Upon doing that, the shaggy-haired male smiles as he casually mentions, "You're a light sleeper."

Callahan snaps his attention to the left so he can gawk at Suta and then glances towards his surroundings to determine his current location. Afterwards, seeing the tree behind him, the individual sets his sights to his person as he learns that he's seated on the lone chair from earlier and hurriedly realizes that his injuries are gone. Thanks to that, Callahan lifts his right hand to check his face while finding it to be restored as well, profoundly bewildering him.

Suta chuckles from observing Callahan, easily garnering Callahan's focus again.

Callahan's briefly quiet prior to growing upset, leaning towards Suta. "You...! Are you insane?! I take this as an insult! I ain't weak enough to receive pity! I'll freaking kill you!"

Suta restrains the urge to laugh as he contorts himself forward a tad. "Nice reaction. During this entire fight you've proven that you're more human than anything else, even with the modification. That's good. It's with that you'll obtain your goal."

Callahan's eyes widen, moderately retracting himself from Suta via straightening his being. Not much after, the young man scoffs while portraying a sarcastic attitude. "Yeah, sure." Callahan deviates his concentration to the area ahead, altering his behavior to reflect mild disappointment. "I never had a chance in beating you, huh? After becoming a cyborg, I thought it would be impossible for me to ever lose. I rarely tasted defeat, so it'd be sensible to believe that."

Suta fixes his composition while sympathetically saying, "I can't entirely agree that your attempts were in vain or anything of the sort. Had you figured out my deception, you could've done something. Take that as evidence of how incredible you are, and it's not just 'cause of your present physicality. It's for that reason I wanna' grant your wish too. I prefer aiding folks like you."

Callahan gives Suta a scrutinizing expression, ignoring the first half of his adversary's explanation. "Wouldn't a star want to do the opposite though? Why help those who can accomplish a ton by themselves instead of the people in severe desperation?"

Suta sincerely retorts. "I originally did stuff that way throughout the majority of my existence. Very little positives come from it, hence the restrictions I've included as time passed. This led to my perspective tremendously changing. Now, I'm a fan of those who fight with pure convictions and deeply desire within themselves for their dreams to be a reality, which makes it a whole lot more possible in them doing it alone."

Callahan's quite confused. "Again, considering they're capable of it without assistance, then-"

Suta cuts Callahan off. "Simply 'cause they can do it on their own, doesn't mean they wouldn't be glad for the helping hand. Right, Crest?"

Callahan instantly establishes a shocked demeanor until clenching his hands tightly, glaring at Suta once more with turmoil arising.

Suta issues a sad grin. "I had to endure a long wait before I met someone who'd grant me that pleasure. I barely needed to do a thing." Glee dominates the lad's conduct. "You understand how I must be feeling, currently!"

Callahan abruptly hides his emotions, refraining from talking, and dully retains his gaze towards Suta.

Suta shuts his eyes with his personality refusing to falter. "It's okay, Crest! Your secret is safe with me! Go back to your comrades and attain your version of freedom! You already have my full support! My motto guarantees it!"

Callahan persists his staring of Suta further, however, soon concedes as he veers his vision onward while summoning the Model 29 in his left appendage. Following that, the white-haired character parts from the chair amidst aiming his weapon towards the direction his sights are locked on and swiftly crafts an opening. A moment later, Callahan lowers his outstretched limb besides himself while callously remarking, glimpsing at Suta, "Screw you." He promptly leaves Beta via the portal.

Suta depicts Callahan's departure, bent forth a bit while using both hands to keep his head up, as he contentedly smiles.
