Episode 16: Battle Royal
*Starting Scene*
High in the sky, towards the background of the conflict that was transgressing within Ganseihiro, a mild humming noise reverberates. In the meantime, the wind getting sucked towards the wormhole can be noted bending around a large, invisible object that has a bulky, humanoid shaping to it. A couple of moments later, with the strong gale dying down from the wormhole vanishing, a male voice chimes out of the anomaly as amusement is portrayed, "How exciting! The universe sure is filled with amazing things!" The unknown character cackles evilly. "Earth 03 continually seems to find a way to attract them as well! I'm evidence to that!"
While that was stated, the civilians, Black Ops personnel and Virgil's group are rendered speechless at the recent event that managed to dispose of the Colums.
After a fair amount of silence, Anemone exits Virago since she brought Doyenne inside the craft seconds before Suta summoned the wormhole as she frantically searches the area with the ferret still perched atop her right shoulder. "V! Suta!"
Virgil chuckles, parting from Virago due to having maintained his grasp on it a little longer, and walks towards Anemone's posterior. "At least you accounted worrying about Suta this time. That's a small development for you."
Anemone hurriedly snaps her focus to Virgil via commandeering her head left, a tad surprised in the process. Then, the teen becomes flustered and confronts Virgil with both hands balled into fists as she partially raises them. "You always...!" Anemone suddenly alters her conduct to emit concern as she deviates her attention to the last spot she remembered Suta being through situating herself sideways while restraining her tone a bit. "What happened to Suta though?"
Virgil promptly asks with sadness showing, "Didn't you see it?"
Anemone hesitates, hinting that she indeed witness Suta's departure through the wormhole, prior to questioning in a somber manner with her head slightly dropped, "But why...? Doesn't the wormhole lead to a random area of the universe?"
Virgil briefly watches Anemone, refraining from talking until confidence surfaces via a smile. "He said he'll catch up. What reason would a star have to lie?"
Anemone resets her vision to Virgil, presenting a halfhearted grin. "Funny. We're making the assumption that he can't just 'cause he's one."
Virgil pulls his head back out of bewilderment while his jaw hangs, reflecting that he's never considered that to be a possibility.
Abruptly, several of the the Black Ops members march towards with one shouting in an upset tone, "Hey! Explain yourselves! We-"
Anemone hastily interrupts the guy once she steers herself to face him, brimming anger. "What?! Are you actually gonna' be pissed off about them coming to the rescue?!" She gestures her right hand's thumb towards Virago during the completion of that sentence as the ship's placement is eastward from her perspective. "Did you expect us to go into this when crap can happen whenever?! Appreciate that y'all are alive!"
The Black Ops agents stare at Anemone with a stunned demeanor.
Concurrently, Virgil draws himself beside Anemone's left as he whispers with curiosity displayed, "Wow, Anemone... You seriously thought ahead and had Victress on standby without either me or Doyenne knowing..." The redhead switches his personality to emanate scrutiny. "Is what I wish I could say, but I'm aware that you couldn't have cooked up this idea."
Anemone glares at Virgil out of the corner of her eyes and lowers her voice amidst retorting. "And why's that?!"
Virgil gives Anemone a dull look. "You had no chance of speaking with them. Me, you and Doyenne left together pretty fast upon our planning with Suta." Realization engulfing him as he peers at the sky. "Which means it was Suta. That dude isn't stupid." The lad softly laughs and mounts his sight to Anemone again.
Right after that, the man in black gear attempts to inject himself into the discussion, not liking that the duo are secretly conversing. Precisely when he's on the verge of expressing his grievance, the ferret on Anemone's shoulder unpredictably brushes its tail against the dame's right cheek thanks to it navigating itself away from the Black Ops' direction and swiftly hops off Anemone.
Anemone demonstrates some stress while observing the ferret via veering her head accordingly as she blurts out, "Cutie!"
The ferret ignores Anemone as the fuzzy animal quickly scurries towards Virago.
Anemone immediately pursues the ferret, repetitively calling out to it with her posture substantially contorted forth and containing both arms extended towards the critter.
Virgil unconsciously follows Anemone for a minuscule period, neglecting the Black Ops personnel.
That provokes an infuriated yell from the agent who spoke earlier while compelling Virgil to halt his mobility so he could gaze at the nearby group of humans. An instance later, the horde dressed in black are haphazardly crushed by an invisible force landing from the air, blood erupting everywhere as a result.
Virgil instantly detains his movement due to the street harshly trembling from the impact as blood splatters upon his posterior. This effortlessly baffles the young man while reluctantly turning his head right to temporarily view his person before bearing witness to the mangled corpses embed onto the landscape, a horrified composition taking over.
Then, having let the unexpected death of their comrades sink in, the other Black Ops members radiate fury and commence firing their blasters at the camouflaged entity as that permits them to gain a fair look of its silhouette. Unfortunately, that doesn't help the men as the object rapidly traverses towards the collection of fellows stationed to the left from Virgil's perspective because of him still facing in Virago's vicinity.
Within seconds, the anomaly reaches the assortment of individuals striving to back away to evade the mysterious foe while swiping one of its limbs horizontally, immediately sending the majority of the agents flying.
Simultaneously, Anemone depicts the slaughter of the Black Ops personnel after successfully grabbing the ferret with both hands, astonishment consuming her in the process.
Soon enough, the threat mimics its previous action to get rid of more of the blaster wielders, a menacing laughter reverberating during that. This greatly scares the citizens, ultimately concluding with them running from the area as fast as possible. Registering the spectators' desperation, the invisible character chimes while persisting the onslaught, "There's no place to hide! I was going to be kind, allowing you to die by Colin and its babies! All I wanted was to make the Black Ops suffer!" The unknown entity promptly chases the different types of aliens. "But death is coming to every single one of you no matter what today!"
The citizens try to keep their distance from the oncoming danger, however, they're no match for its amazing speed and are callously trampled with distraught screams expelled prior to getting squashed.
As that occurs, the surviving Black Ops members are totally shocked while no longer shooting at the big opponent until a few of them almost resume their attack. At the same time, another agent stops his colleagues via extending his right arm towards them, currently being poised to their left, and firmly shouts, "Don't! You'll draw its attention to us! We have no obligation to protect anybody aside the two we came to retrieve!"
The entire squad hurriedly alter their concentration to Virago's placement while exhibiting seriousness towards Virgil and Anemone.
Having listened to the recent declaration, the giant administers its gaze to where the Black Ops are focusing with the voice remarking in a sinister manner, "If that's the case, I know what to aim for!" The enigma abruptly quits its murdering of the civilians to dash towards Virgil.
Virgil and Anemone's eyes widen from panic while the Black Ops do their best to deter the adversary's journey, although it was already proven that their blasters are ineffective. Moments from the threat fully bridging the gap, the blue-eyed gentleman implements a couple of steps backwards, but realizes its pointless thanks to the impressive agility that the mysterious figure contains.
Suddenly, the enemy is met with an unprecedented obstruction in the form of Eve, who jumped to a sufficient height to swing her broadsword down on the anomaly's upper region. This results in a loud clang echoing from the tool's landing, however, is incapable of cutting through the metal that the giant's comprised of. Following that, the foe drives its left appendage towards Eve as the limb strikes her whole body, signifying that its size at least surpasses her stature.
Eve's hurled rearward, going over Virgil's head, as she eventually meets with the terrain. Luckily, the jacketed dame was able to land on her feet, situated several meters behind Virgil, while lugging her weapon around to prepare for her next assault amidst yelling in a commanding tone, "Hey, Virgil! Standing there like an idiot is basically a one way ticket to the afterlife!"
Virgil urgently glances at Eve and attempts to deliver a response, although is prevented by numerous thuds reverberating from the camouflaged opponent as he hastily investigates why that transpired. Afterwards, the glasses-wearing lad discerns the existence of multiple darts that have bounced off the large adversary before shifting his vision towards Virago via steering his head westward.
Gabriela's promptly revealed beside Anemone's left while retracting her hands, compliments of her possessing them onward to throw her darts, and cheerfully states towards Virgil as she navigates her appendages to her thighs, "That's her method of saying that you should go inside Virago with your girlfriend. We'll stall whatever is causing trouble 'till you two are safe."
Anemone briefly gawks at Gabriela, a stunned look portrayed prior to replacing it with a delighted attitude as she blushes. "You actually think we're together?!"
Virgil swiftly complies with Gabriela's advice through gripping Anemone's left arm via his right limb and leads her towards Virago as he comments to the Hispanic beauty, "I thank you for the assist, but you got no clue what you just did." The redhead continues on his way without relinquishing his hold of Anemone's limb.
Gabriela giggles while watching the pair until viewing the area ahead of her as she regains ownership of her darts, although soon shows concern since the enemy has refrained from moving further. This makes it difficult for the chick to determine the giant's location and asks with caution mixed in, "Uh, Eve... Is it still in front of us?"
Eve tenaciously rebuttals as she charges forth with her sword vaguely beginning to extend. "Obviously! It's too noisy to sneak away!" The turquoise-eyed female quickly strives to slash at the sector before her once she feels she's close to the invisible threat, but is countered with a solid force that powerfully hits her anterior. Suspecting that to happen, Eve has her weapon split to encompass whatever struck her while planting the soles of her boots onto the foe for leverage while pulling on the broadsword so it could grind against the grand entity.
The anomaly releases a patronizing scoff amidst persisting its maneuvering to throw Eve off it. "I don't know who you believe you are, however, you're sticking your nose where it doesn't belong!" The adversary's about to increase its effort, although is faintly distracted by Gabriela launching her darts towards it. Despite that, there's no stopping the mysterious individual as it rapidly embeds a mighty blow upon Eve's cranium, which sends her to the ground with a substantial impact generated.
Eve's expression is filled by agony prior to lying motionless atop the street, her sword dropping to the terrain a few seconds later too.
Gabriela emits stress at the sight of Eve's collision and ceases her attacking while retreating a bit with her attention brought ahead again, mindful of the danger, as she thinks, "I'm gonna' need bigger darts!"
The unknown character hastily attempts to follow up its previous strike so it can crush Eve like many of the Black Ops agents while devilishly laughing. This fails to come to fruition though as the opponent loses some of its balance from Fey suddenly scaling along its body via leaping over Eve because of the woman being poised towards the left based on Gabriela's perspective.
Fey instantly reaches the top region of the entity as she's aware that she can't do more than hinder its mobility and grasps the enemy's head to better her odds.
The invisible threat hurriedly stomps onto the ground for gaining stability and so its intention of killing Eve wouldn't be wasted.
Eve disappoints the giant via rolling towards her right, causing the landscape to crack to a higher level from the clash. Achieving that, the silver-haired beauty lunges forward to attain possession of her broadsword again and swiftly issues a swing at the foe's bottom left. Eve immediately sees her tool of combat bounce off the anomaly, reminiscent of Gabriela's incapability, while frustration envelopes her. Nonetheless, the Victress member refuses to concede from the lack of success as she feverishly rams her weapon upon the same general spot.
The large enigma can't help becoming amused instead of displaying agitation while mainly channeling its concentration onto ridding itself of Fey. "This isn't the first time folks have resisted my chaos! It always ends with their demise and this time it won't-" The adversary's unexpectedly interrupted through a group of blasts bombarding it.
Fey, nearly getting struck by the assault, exhibits anger as she's now stationed atop the opponent's cranium and glares at the Black Ops personnel behind the barrage. "You hit me, you die!"
The blaster-wielding humans ignore Fey's warning and keep firing with no remorse demonstrated.
Gabriela's enraged while gathering her darts once more. "What are they thinking?!"
Eve, needing to alter her positioning as well so she wouldn't be harmed, temporarily halts her onslaught to look at the men dressed in combat gear and mutters, "They're treating us as collateral damage! Is 'cause of shit like this Doyenne despises 'em!" She then reverts her vision onward while resuming her effort against the enemy.
Gabriela momentarily witnesses Eve's persistence until keying onto Fey. "You oughta' bail from there, Fey!"
Not giving Fey the opportunity to even reply, the invisible enigma haphazardly slams one of its appendages on the Russian's front, leading to her soaring backwards with her teeth gritted. As Fey eventually crashes her posterior upon the street, the male voice comments towards the Black Ops members while gradually veering itself towards the left, "Don't fool yourselves into believing that you can capitalize on these women pestering me!"
Eve reacts to the foe's movement via ensuring that she stays behind it amidst doing her best not to lose focus, considering what occurred with Fey.
Meanwhile, the giant tries to advance towards the team of men, although is detained due to a downpour of shots raining from above without warning.
That startles Eve and promptly peers at the source, discovering a blue space cruiser with its twin cannons protruding from the craft's belly continually firing. As a result, the dame's compelled to cancel her plethora of strikes on the adversary and frantically separates herself from the section getting attack while utilizing her weapon for protection via angling it diagonally.
The invisible individual maintains his behavior, observing the new ship that's currently performing a nosedive from a significant distance, while gingerly quipping, "Cloaking really is pointless if I'm on the ground." The opponent chuckles before notably ascending from the terrain, eluding the storm of ammunition since they have sufficient strength to do something against the mysterious entity. Not much after, the unknown figure collides onto the cannons with tremendous force that easily renders them unusable.
The three Victress personnel located outside are baffled prior to Gabriela hearing a bunch of footsteps quickly traveling towards her as she ultimately depicts the Black Ops agents aiming their blasters at her. Also, Eve and Fey, who's now standing properly, are targeted by the squad while the trio grow confused.
One of the guys immediately utters in a strict tone, "You three are coming with us! "
Eve includes an upset conduct and asks with a hint of fury, "Why the hell?!"
The male retorts while planting the muzzle of his weapon upon Eve's face. "You defied our demands! We're apprehending you to be prosecuted!"
Gabriela instantly blurts out in a dumbfounded manner, confronting the person poised ahead of Eve, "Are you crazy?! This isn't the time to nitpick crap!"
A Black Ops member near Gabriela's left abruptly jabs his blaster onto her side, causing the chick to grimace from pain as she contorts herself a little that. After that, the fellow who hit Gabriela orders with hostility showing, "Quiet, you!" He then registers numerous cries resound from up the road and investigates by gazing around Gabriela's rear while finding the group encompassing Fey lying on the landscape.
Fey, glaring at the people she effortlessly dispatched of, soon commandeers her sight to the adult with her hands tensed amidst containing them lowered. Following that, the leotard-wearing beauty hastily sprints towards the Black Ops as determination is overflowing.
The agents strive to counteract Fey's progression, however, Gabriela intervenes so she can pay the man who assaulted her through rapidly impaling their feet with her darts. Because of that, the group yell while slanting their head backwards until Fey arrives to the characters' position and knocks out most of them in seconds.
During that, the guy close to Gabriela attempts to flee, despite the agony his experiencing from both of his punctured feet.
Gabriela hurriedly places herself in front of the path that the male was going and delivers a right punch upon his nose, making a loud cracking noise to reflect that its broken. After managing to send the fellow staggering rearward, the beige-haired lady confidently smirks as she puts her eastern limb down before tossing a few darts at the masculine individual, concluding with the objects stabbing his abdomen.
The Black Ops member screams while falling to the street as his body fidgets a tad prior to receiving a stomp upon his face, compliments of Fey's right boot.
Gabriela mounts her gaze onto Fey as she giggles. "Thanks, but I wanted to do that."
Fey callously rebuttals to Gabriela with her vision set southward. "I did it for me. He and his buddies almost shot me."
Gabriela smiles and then notices multiple slashes echoing from where Eve's situated, leading to her checking on her friend.
Not long after, Eve's broadsword is displayed becoming one since she whipped it at the Black Ops personnel intruding her space. Once that's done, the female switches her attention to the blue vessel as it's flying about to deal with the invisible anomaly and try dodge any attacks, although aren't too successful.
Suddenly, Lita's voice reverberates from Eve's mic with urgency detected. "Hey, Eve! We just got notified by that ship your gawking at!"
Eve exhibits a mild sum of agitation due to Lita's statement as she drives her concentration to Virago, specifically where the Bridge resides. "You must be having a ton of fun, merely watching us do the heavy lifting!"
Lita sternly responds. "Yeah, sure! That's not important right now though! You need to be aware that Virgil's uncle and mom are in that ship!"
Eve swiftly returns her focus to the cruiser while quite surprised. "So they're the ones who saved our ass! Still, they nearly caught us in their fire! What's up with that?!"
*Scene Change*
Within the Syndicate's vessel, Kairi's portrayed strangling Sebastian via both hands and fervently shouts, "You lunatic! You could've shot the Bounty Hunters!"
Sitting in his seat, Sebastian struggles to stay alive, considering Kairi's constricting his ability to obtain oxygen, as he says with a strained tone, "Okay...! I get it...! I already apologized 5 times...!"
The craft harshly shakes, its passengers becoming slanted briefly thanks to that, while the alarms go off. Afterwards, several of the Syndicate members frantically work to retain the ship functional as it quickly maneuvers through the air more.
Harper soon goes to Kairi, having temporarily stationed himself to the Bridge's western sector so he could brace himself for the random vibrations the ship experiences. The moment he reaches his sister, the adult pulls her away from Sebastian with the use of both hands since he realizes that the Italian's on the verge of passing out while firmly uttering, "That's enough! We're in a middle of a fight!"
Kairi replies in a menacing voice, keeping her eyes locked onto Sebastian amidst strengthening her grip. "I know. And I'm going to win."
Harper gives Kairi a dull look and lightly remarks, "Not what I was talking about." He abruptly feels the cruiser slant without warning from its right getting hit, compelling him to increase his grasp of Kairi to avoid falling.
Sebastian emanates panic as the weight from both Harper and Kairi are worsening his situation while his constitution slumps forth. This lasts until the gentleman is able to rest his back on his seat again because of the ship fixing its angling with the siblings bent towards him from the recent movement. With that, Sebastian catches his breath due to Kairi inadvertently loosening her clutches of his neck while glimpsing at the surroundings prior to solemnly speaking. "What the hell is it using to attack us?!"
A Vulpes poised towards the right end of the Bridge answers while viewing the radar ahead of it, allotting it the capability to discern the enemy's presence, "Its own body!"
Having to lean onward to peak over Kairi, Sebastian gazes at his companion as skepticism surfaces. "Nah, man! How can something of its size do shit to the ship then?!"
Harper separates himself from Kairi to observe the monitor enclosing the entire room because of it demonstrating the exact radar the Vulpes is witnessing and thinks with a pensive attitude established, "This is reminiscent of something... I can't remember what it is though..."
The adversary promptly deviates its point of assault to ascend towards the front of the blue vessel while eagerly declaring, "No more foreplay! Prepare for penetration!"
Kairi shows disgust after steering herself northward as she heard the enigma's words through the open channel the cruiser has on. "Such vulgarity. I hope Virgil will never spout that to anyone. I raised him better than that."
Harper scans the vicinity during Kairi's comment with curiosity brimming, persisting his mental dialogue. "It's somebody who knows English. Plus, he's utilizing the same line as us. It's the only way we could hear him through the Jammer that the Black Ops have active."
The anomaly hurriedly soars towards the Syndicate's craft, forcing the crew to bring the vessel upward. In spite of that, the invisible entity adjusts its trajectory as it rams upon the ship's bow and begins piercing through the cruiser via continually advancing. This results in the blue craft trembling uncontrollably, making everyone inside it emanate stress and strive to withstand the occurrence.
Kairi balances herself via pressing her being against the left region of the Commander's Seat, her attention back on Sebastian, and is fairly mad. "Why aren't you retaliating?! What kind of a man are you?!"
An infuriated scowl engraves itself onto Sebastian while drawing himself inches from Kairi. "All we had were the twin cannons! Ya' jackasses didn't mention a single thing about needing topnotch artillery!"
Kairi doesn't falter whatsoever as intensity resonates. "It's common sense! We told you that it would involved Earth 03's Black Ops! It usually ends in conflict when they're around!"
Sebastian narrows his eyes, matching Kairi's personality. "Well, we're screwed! We got no other method to battle!"
Harper instantly shifts his sight to Kairi and Sebastian with tenacity enveloping him. "There's always a second option!" He navigates his vision to the Syndicate associates while receiving a confused look from Sebastian and Kairi while sternly ordering, "Contact Virago again!"
*Scene Change*
A team of Black Ops agents dash towards the three Victress members, wanting to avenge their defeated comrades, while passionately exclaiming and shooting their blasters.
Fey hastily volunteers to contend with the group endowed in combat gear as she yells to Eve and Gabriela, "Decide on what we must do concerning Virgil's relatives!"
Gabriela readies herself to partake in the action with a confident grin forming. "We'll have to beat Earth 03's representatives first, I guess!"
Eve unprecedentedly marches towards Virago with seriousness exhibit, wielding her concentration on Gabriela, and steadily attaches her broadsword to her back. "No, we're leaving! Captain Harper's side will keep distracting whoever the devil we were fighting! That way we can escape with little trouble!"
Gabriela ceases her preparation to focus onto Eve via veering herself left while minor criticism arises as she points her right hand's thumb towards the Black Ops personnel. "What about these guys?! They aren't simply gonna' let us go!"
Fey's voice haphazardly resounds from where Gabriela's appendage is aim, possessing a bland tone. "That won't be much of problem, actually."
Intrigue consumes Gabriela until becoming amused as she commandeers her gaze to Fey. "Wow, you already took them down." The dame's immediately baffled thanks to discovering that every Black Ops member are levitating. Following that, Gabriela directs her vision towards Virago and sees Doyenne situated at the hatch, the pale woman containing her hands outstretched to use her gem.
Fey and Eve bear witness to Doyenne's act with the latter of the two shouting while fear radiates from her, "Doyenne! You're pushing yourself too far!"
Doyenne sways a bit out of exhaustion, however, will not collapse due to Virgil standing behind her for support, his hands gently perched on the back of her shoulders, while straining herself to communicate at a decent volume. "If you're really... Worried about my condition... Don't make me wait then... Let's get outta' here..."
The trio share a glance prior to complying with Doyenne's request as countless complaints reverberate from the Black Ops agents.
Doyenne, sustaining her arms forward, views Virgil out of the edge of her eyes after turning her head right and whispers with a smile, "I'm grateful for the assist..."
Virgil sharply nods. "Anytime. Now, we oughta' go some place so you can rest."
Doyenne shakes her head, determination displayed, while clearing her throat to talk better as she dropped her arms. "It's important we join those at the Bridge! I can't slack off on my duties!"
Virgil chuckles before driving his attention towards the hall connecting to the Bridge as he carefully leads Doyenne through it. "Have it your way."
Anemone temporarily depicts Virgil and Doyenne's progression, substantially spacing out in the meantime, until composing herself while following them.
Eventually, all of the Victress members are within Virago while the spaceship commences to ascend. Once the six characters arrive at their destination, they watch the Syndicate's vessel distancing itself from the path Virago's taking to guarantee their departure. Not long after, Lita announces that the blue craft's passengers are attempting to contact them again and instantly accepts the video call.
Harper's quickly portrayed as he's accompanied by Kairi and Sebastian, stating with mild glee upon registering his nephew. "Virgil!"
Virgil, still aiding Doyenne, emits joy. "I knew nothing could stop you from coming to get us!" He specifies his sight towards Kairi. "Especially you, mom!"
Kairi holds back the urge to cry and tries responding, but the cruiser suddenly rattling prevents her while stumbling into Sebastian, concluding with both falling onto his seat.
Panic hurriedly engulfs Virgil. "Are you okay?!"
Kairi reverts her vision to Virgil after having to momentarily look at the Commander's Seat during her unexpected movement while grinning in an assuring manner. "Yes, I'm fine." The redhead switches her focus to Sebastian, realizing that her anterior is partially draped on his lap, and discerns that he's nervously staring at her. Afterwards, Kairi scoffs prior to remarking with a scrutinizing demeanor shown, "So that you're aware, I'm married." She creates some room to angle herself properly. "You'd be smart to remember that."
Sebastian lifts his hands to the height of his face as he strives to defend himself, although couldn't because of another mighty impact implemented on the space craft's bow.
Harper sustains his stability with help of Sebastian's seat and glares at the image of the cruiser's afflicted area. "He won't quit! Without any weaponry to eliminate him, we'll need to neutralize him sufficiently to escape as well!"
Virgil notices the tension brimming from Harper while significantly concern amidst thinking, "I wanna' do something...!"
The ferret plainly observes Virgil as it still resides in Anemone's grasp before randomly slipping out of her hands and leaps towards the Caucasian's right shoulder since the blue-haired beauty is located near him.
That astonishes both Virgil and Anemone with the former briefly gazing into the ferret's tiny eyes, ultimately gaining a confident behavior as he smirks.
