Episode 14: Lurking Threat

*Starting Scene*

Maniacal snickering echoes from inside one of the structures towards the right of the meeting between Earth 03's Black Ops and Virgil's small group, the source being stationed at the upper levels. In the meantime, it's notable that blood stains the large room the unknown character is within as the area possesses numerous cubicles for those who are normally there to work, although have been rendered decimated. Among the deceased, multiple of the men in black combat gear are sprawled haphazardly, dead from the severe injuries they each own.

After a while, the mysterious entity excitedly watches the discussion occurring down below, its black complexion mirrored by the safety glass of the elongated window that's situated towards the left end of the workplace and displays a broad smile that permits its sharp teeth soaked in blood to be depicted.

As that happens, the leader of the Black Ops is gingerly informed by his companion to his left about a certain detail, causing him to demonstrate a hint of concern while inquiring in a low volume, "They haven't reported back yet?"

The subordinate shakes his head with mild dread surfacing. "We sent another squad to check on them, but when I tried contacting them, they also didn't answer."

The masculine Caucasian hurriedly steers his concentration to the building located behind his colleague via moderately raising his head. "It's that one they went to, correct?"

The agent nods. "Yes, however, it's peculiar, sir. Something would've had to transpire involving all of them at once. If not, one should've communicated with us immediately."

The leader sustains his attention towards the structure, seriousness overcoming him.

Suddenly, the guy who was conversing with Anemone blurts towards the man in charge while agitation is brimming. "Sir! Tell this girl to get rid of the rodent!"

Anemone fiercely glares at the gruff person and holds the ferret near her chest as she growls with her body contorted forth.

Doyenne soon chimes in, standing at Anemone's left, with her vision towards the hazel-eyed adult as skepticism shows itself, "Are you honestly going to apply the stipulation for a tiny animal?" The woman diverts her focus to the man ahead of Anemone. "Also, you're asking to get your ass kicked. She already demanded not to call it a rodent."

The Black Ops member scoffs, taking light of Doyenne's words amidst viewing Anemone while angled sideways with his left region towards the blue-haired chick since he did that to talk with his superior. "Who's she to be ordering me around?! I'm highly trained! I can easily-"

The leader randomly cuts off his comrade with a dull expression portrayed. "Shut your mouth. Bragging makes you look so pathetic."

The agent quickly navigates his sight back to the Caucasian and exhibits an apologetic demeanor without saying anything.

The individual in command promptly alters his gaze to the trio, replacing his behavior with a cold conduct. "Let's get this over with. An unexpected development is lurking."

Doyenne's eyes widen a little out of bewilderment as she thinks, "He can't be referring to..." The dame swiftly calms herself prior to questioning in a stern manner, "So you oughta' ask us what you wanted to know?"

Virgil administers his concentration towards Doyenne while fairly curious.

The leader narrows his eyes with mild defensiveness established. "You're sharp. We must have the three of you account your experiences during your journey here."

Virgil and Anemone glance at each other, briefly surprised, before switching their vision to Doyenne to discern how they should proceed.

Doyenne refrains from seeing the duo's attempt to attain instructions as she intently stares at the blaster-wielding team.

The masculine character accepts Doyenne's silence to be an indirect method of requesting that he explains further. "Your ship had halted at Lionsten, right? We desire Intel of everything that transgressed. It's of upmost importance. If you do that, you'll receive our gratitude."

Doyenne retorts with animosity emitted. "Is that all? I'm sorry, but you bunch being grateful doesn't suffice. Not a single time have you given me and my crew the courtesy of offering payment for our help. We didn't HAVE to bring Virgil and Anemone to you. Space travel isn't cheap."

The subordinate close to Anemone's anterior becomes upset and hastily aims his weapon at Doyenne's temporal section. "You disrespectful cunt! Solely 'cause you're from the colonies won't save you!"

Anemone gawks at Doyenne with confusion while thinking, "The colonies..."

Simultaneously, Virgil observes Doyenne as he radiates a somber attitude and thinks, "A.K.A. Earth 02. The place where the human race decided to divide. That's supposed to be a myth. Everybody's told that our ancestors left it due to the unfortunate discovery that it was dying like Earth 01. Though after learning a bit about Doyenne, I figured that was a lie. She's from there."

Doyenne firmly watches the agent, her right hand tensing, until hearing glass shattering from her right and instantly veers her attention to the source, which is the building that the Black Ops leader was eyeing earlier,.

Concurrently, the others mimic Doyenne's action while enveloped by alarm as they all hurriedly witness a bloody man endowed in combat gear plummet to the ground via a harsh thud. A split second later, something descends onto the posterior of the individual since the body struck the terrain with its front. After that, the strange entity poised atop the unmoving person releases a sinister grunt as it's bent onward a tad.

The Black Ops personnel eventually set their focus to the downed character, taking a moment to recognize the male drenched in blood, as one of them stutters, "T-That's... J-Jimmy... He's... D-Dead..."

Following that statement, the creature on the corpse snaps its head towards the horde and is revealed to be much shorter in comparison to everyone else, its crimson eyes glimmering, as it wildly smiles prior to sprinting at the Black Ops leader's group.

The team scramble to aim their blasters at the threat while maneuvering themselves backwards as the guy in charge frantically shouts with his own weapon fixed towards the black-skinned being, "Fire!"

A barrage of shots ensue in a blink of an eye, however, the advancing danger eluded the projectiles with amazing agility before tackling the leader as it chomps onto his stomach, forcing a scream from the fellow.

Several agents desperately commandeer their blasters towards their superior amidst separating themselves from him and the barbaric individual as hesitation engulfs them, compliments of not knowing what they should do to assist their comrade.

During that, the rest of the Black Ops members cautiously progress towards the leader while completely forgetting Virgil, Anemone and Doyenne.

Doyenne displays substantial fear, slowly retreating, as she analyzes the ferocious character's worn out, gold attire with red lining and thinks, "I've seen that..." She specifies her gaze to the creature's face while continuing her thought process and detains her recession. "That's Colin... The 7th Most Wanted in the universe..." Doyenne glimpses at Virgil and Anemone as she softly utters, "Hey! Change of plans!"

Virgil views Doyenne with worry demonstrated and nods while whispering back, "Agreed." The lad draws his vision towards Anemone and notices that she's profoundly immersed in the present circumstance, compelling him to help her through grabbing both of her arms so he can lead Anemone as he's stationed behind his best friend. "Come on."

Doyenne temporarily depicts Anemone's awestruck behavior until turning counterclockwise while preparing to contact Virago's personnel via her hidden microphone. To her astonishment, the chick abruptly discovers a larger version of Colin now situated ahead of her as its entire figure is stained by blood and wears a similar outfit to the criminal. Because of that, Doyenne shrieks out of panic and pulls herself reward, considering she registered that the alien is about to lunge at her.

Virgil swiftly shifts his sight to Doyenne as his eyes widen upon discerning that she's in peril and then lets go of Anemone while rushing towards the pale female without thinking. Luckily, thanks to how close he was to her, the young man manages to shove Doyenne away from the creature, although this left him vulnerable with his neck getting caught by the Halfling's hands.

Doyenne immediately confronts Virgil and exhibits horror as she yells, "Virgil!"

Anemone promptly regains her senses due to Doyenne's outburst while quickly directing her concentration to Virgil, clearly terrified and worried, as she gasps.

At the same time, the alien opens its mouth as it hastily navigates itself towards Virgil to consume his head with its sharp teeth dripping blood.

Doyenne rapidly responds through hoisting both hands at the attacker's vicinity, embedding her left appendage's fingers onto the gem and successfully prevents the extraterrestrial from biting.

The barbaric entity struggles to persist its attempt of chomping Virgil's head, however, repetitively fails while gradually floating into the air as it ultimately loses its grasp of the teen's neck.

Virgil grows baffled, his right hand favoring his neck, as he observes the Halfling prior to deviating his focus to Doyenne. "Are you doing that?!"

Doyenne sternly nods with her attention kept on the foe. "Yeah, I'll explain later! We gotta' bail first!" She then detects something dashing towards her right out of the corner of her eyes and strives to avoid it via leaping towards her left, instilling her vision onto it. With that, Doyenne finds a third alien that's of the same appearance as Colin and contains a lanky body while at a height between the two other extraterrestrials. This concludes with stress emanating from the beauty while exclaiming during her feet landing on the ground, "Another one?! But weren't the Colums-"

The new addition interrupts Doyenne's speech via hoping above her while gleefully cackling amidst dropping towards the brunette, its arms extended to capture her as it opening its mouth to an extreme extent.

Doyenne overflows urgency, aware that the creature could swallow her whole if she didn't act fast, and barely dodges through jumping towards her right as she dismounts her left hand from her gem.

Despite that, the bigger extraterrestrial stays airborne as its thinner companion administers all four of its limbs upon the street before trying to pursue Doyenne.

Fortunately for Doyenne, Iota haphazardly descends from the sky while striking the rear of the barbaric individual's skull with one of its ends, resulting in the enemy's face planting onto the ground as cracks hurriedly spread along the nearby sector.

Doyenne stares at the currently pinned creature with a dumbfounded personality, having her jaw hanging.

Meanwhile, Colin retains its teeth upon the Black Ops leader's torso and possesses both hands clutching him so he can't escape.

The adult wearing combat gear looks to his allies as desperation plagues him. "You morons! Get it off me!"

The Black Ops members show a reluctant demeanor, uncertain of how to aid their leader with no grand risks occurring. Soon enough, a handful of men throw caution to the wind and run towards the pair because of the Caucasian suddenly expelling an agonized scream from Colin beginning to chew down onto his flesh.

Colin glances at the oncoming humans, although doesn't halt the torture it's putting the leader through while forcing him around to utilize the agent as a shield.

The male in charge cries from the movement, feeling his guts being pulled by Colin's dentures, and delivers multiple blows to the alien's cranium in the effort of freeing himself via his blaster.

Colin isn't bother by the leader's flurry in the slightest while blood squirts from the gentleman's abdomen, painting the menacing entity crimson.

Eventually, the hazel-eyed character commences to become dazed thanks to everything he has suffered in a short period as he angles his weapon that way he could fire at Colin, but the shot merely ricochets off the helmet that goes with its apparel. Afterwards, persevering through the pain to the best of his capabilities, the Black Ops leader tries to stick his blaster into Colin's face since that's the lone opening in its defenses while worsening his condition. This is due to the tool's barrel rubbing against the guy's midsection, unintentionally interacting with his wound, and fiercely remarks, "You damn monster...!" He then issues a blast that compels Colin's head to snap backwards, however, this came at the price of it ripping out the fellow's intestines.

Horror instantly arises from the Black Ops personnel attempting to rescue their commanding officer with some of them grimacing and ceasing their mobility.

Colin smirks, enjoying the leader's wailing, while refusing to release its hands' grip of the agent with no damage sustained to the afflicted area until noting a few lights glistening over it, compliments of its head presently being cocked rearward from getting shot. Immediately realizing that what it's seeing is plummeting towards it, the alien swiftly relinquishes its hold of the adult and slips under him by going between his legs as Colin's attentive of where it's head.

Right after that, three Deltas are displayed crashing into the terrain with debris scattering throughout as that startles the Black Ops agents while their leader falls upon his posterior after the shock-wave the gems' collision forged send him soaring a bit.

Colin manages to elude getting hit by the human's collapse because of its natural agility and briefly pauses its progression to peer skyward again. At that exact moment, the black-skinned individual depicts several more Deltas flying at it, leading to Colin rapidly evading each one with pieces of earth erupting from all of the impacts transgressing.

While that happens, Anemone watches Colin speeding about as it decides to multitask and assaults anybody close by. This summons dread from the green-eyed dame, especially when she discerns that Colin's steadily advancing towards her, and recedes a little.

Colin abruptly keys onto Anemone as maliciousness is brimming and increases its velocity to almost tackle her.

Anemone's quickly terrified, however, replaces this attitude with concern due to the ferret still in her hands unprecedentedly lunging towards Colin, landing on the criminal's face. Following that, the Asian reaches out to the ferret with her right hand while frantically yelling, "No, get away!"

Colin promptly clutches the ferret via its right hand to yank it off, but strangely fails despite the sum of strength it's utilizing. Not long after, the creature senses something traveling towards its left, unable to gaze at it prior to getting cut in half through a horizontal slash.

In the meantime, Suta's revealed behind Colin and carries Omega inside both hands as he's confidently grinning.

Both divisions of Colin flop towards the right with its blood splattering while the ferret clinging to the alien leaped off it for safety via descending to the ground.

During that, the floating extraterrestrial witnesses what recently transpired with Colin, demonstrating indifference.

Suta lowers his arms, placing the tip of Omega's blade onto the terrain, as he examines Colin's severed body before exhibiting an amused conduct while slanting his constitution sideways somewhat. "Did I just kill a leprechaun?"

Anemone exhales out of relief once she saw Colin hit the landscape, containing her right hand atop her chest, until giving Suta an angry glare. "You cut it way too close, Suta! You're faster than that!"

Suta arrogantly chuckles and locks eyes with Anemone. "I am and I precisely reflected that."

Anemone grows confused a tad while tilting her head left, putting her eastern limb down in the process.

Virgil's voice randomly reverberates in a worried manner, "Suta! It's moving!"

Suta hastily brings his concentration to Colin, aware that it's that barbaric character he's referring, as he discovers that both halves of Colin are feverishly trembling. This results in intrigue enveloping the poncho-endowed gentleman while mildly bending towards the right to inspect Colin. "Well, that answers my question."

Colin's being unexpectedly sprouts a new southern extremity, shocking the majority of the onlookers, and slowly sits up with its clothing expanding to cover the extraterrestrials exposed half. Then, the other part of the criminal that was split away does the same as Colin's upper section, although is more muscular and slightly taller in comparison to Colin while both creatures evilly snicker.

Doyenne emits a bewildered expression while gawking at Colin, thinking, "It multiplied..."

Suta confronts Colin as he detaches his left hand from Omega to have the tool located at his right. "You're a Colum, right? I met someone who spoke of a vicious race from Columba with the peculiar and convenient ability to reproduce asexually at an impeccable velocity. The way he described you reminded me of a leprechaun. I was fooled twice." He faintly laughs.

Doyenne directs her focus to Suta and talks with suspicion portrayed. "Who could've possibly told you about that? Eve's done a bunch of research on the Most Wanted and never found anything pertaining to the means of Colin's existence or its species."

Suta refrains from deviating his gaze, smirking knowingly, as he reminds Doyenne, "I'm a star. I get to learn a lot of stuff barely anyone has a clue of." The shaggy-haired lad soon observes both Colin and its offspring rise to their fee while commenting towards them, "It must be really handy that the instincts of your children develop as quick. You don't gotta' do much besides let them go crazy."

Colin expels a sinister cry of excitement prior to taking a step towards Suta while adjusting its stance to face him with the muscular Colum mimicking its parent.

Simultaneously, a hail of gunfire soars towards the duo, interfering with their intention of journeying towards Suta, and hurriedly find that the Black Ops members are the cause as many furiously shout, "You killed our leader! Die, you bastard!"

Suta commandeers his sight to the humans as he displays a plain behavior. "You all oughta' quit doing that. It'll only help it."

Colin smiles while receiving the numerous shots, its foundation fluctuating with each strike that hits it. After a minor period of accepting the bombardment, the crimson-eyed criminal views its child and motions its head towards the Black Ops agents, signalling the Colum to take action.

The muscular extraterrestrial instantly complies with Colin's gesture and charges towards the men wearing black combat attire, not even flinching as blasts pummel it. Following that, once it bridged the gap sufficiently, the offspring grabs an opponent's torso while lifting that individual above its head, causing the guy to scream in distress, and then callously rips the person in two so it can commence eating him with vigor showing.

Panic encompasses the numerous males near the Colum as they urgently back away while solely aiming their weapons at the alien, despite the persisting ineffectiveness that's notable.

A couple of seconds later, the Colum tosses the corpse it was feeding on aside to assault a few of the men shooting at it while easily tearing them apart.

Anemone's stunned at the horrific demonstration, however, promptly composes herself thanks to the ferret climbing up her right arm to perch itself on her shoulder. This compels the teen to instill her attention to the fuzzy animal while forgetting the current circumstance.

In contrast to Anemone, Virgil and Doyenne can't free themselves of their mutual terror of the offspring slaughtering the Black Ops personnel until the latter registers Iota being hurled passed her right, flipping around haphazardly. Afterwards, the femme navigates herself accordingly, immediately seeing the lanky Colum standing as Doyenne unconsciously steps rearward via her left foot.

The threatening creature swiftly starts running towards Doyenne to resume its initial attack.

Doyenne strives to deter the Colum's progression through elevating both hands at the savage to use her gem for neutralizing it like the large Colum.

Unfortunately, the advancing Colum alters its course with no warning as it goes for Virgil, who's presently immersed by the battle ahead of him involving Colin.

Doyenne rushes to have her appendages chase after the lanky entity, but is forced to divert her vision towards the opposite direction because of rapid thuds generating from the ground of that region. She then discerns that the one responsible for the noise is a fifth Colum that's of an equal height as Colin and is quite husky.

The extraterrestrial, even though its overweight, arrives to Doyenne's anterior in no time as it almost chomps down onto the Bounty Hunter's side.

Doyenne, unable to counter properly, narrowly succeeds in dodging the alien while considerably frightened.

In Virgil's case, the young man is on the verge of getting assaulted by the other Colum and only realizes that when he depicts Iota flying towards his right from the front, ultimately halting next to him at a horizontal position while aiming its flat sector to the fellow.

That leads to the Colum slamming its face upon Iota since it didn't anticipate the object's interference as the creature's in midair prior to sliding off the board and unceremoniously falls onto the street.

Virgil does a double take from Iota to the sprawled Colum with his jaw dropped a little before chuckling while thinking, "That was funny." The Caucasian suddenly hears a cry of dismay echo as he steers himself clockwise and discovers that Doyenne's desperately weaving about to prevent the husky Colum from devouring her. In conclusion, Virgil maneuvers himself around Iota and readies himself to go help Doyenne until unprecedentedly witnessing her implement a left spin kick to the Colum's jaw as that shocks the male.

After doing that, Doyenne creates some separation from the Colum, who's dazed to the point that it pauses its pursuit of the dame, and hastily draws her hands forth as she makes the new adversary levitate too.

Virgil becomes very impressed with a grin established prior to noticing that the lanky Colum's body begins wildly twisting, causing worry to engulf him amidst whispering, "Is it...?"

An instance later, the Colum's backside greatly expands as another of its species is born while quickly lunging towards Virgil, its exceedingly scrawny figure flailing haphazardly during that.

Luckily, Virgil's defended by a pair of Deltas through one slamming into the Colum's left temporal while the second rams against its right ankle as that forces the alien to flip sideways before crashing ahead of the blue-eyed character. Once that happens, the redhead gawks at the Colum until switching gazing towards Suta, learning that the star is watching him out of the edge of his eyes with a smile. Right after, Virgil briefly laughs as an amused smirk forms, despite shaking his head.

Suta eventually reverts his concentration to Colin and its offspring as the Black Ops agents haven't detained their onslaught yet, although they can tell nothing good is being gained from it.

The reason for that is due to Colin spawning a couple of more children of different stature while the muscular extraterrestrial imitates its parent as both relentlessly attack and consume any Black Ops members within reach.

Suta sighs during his observation of the growing number of foes as he mentions to several guys beside him, "With every strike, even if it doesn't do a ton of damage, it provokes their reproduction. Simply one needs to survive total annihilation."

A Black Ops personnel veers his focus to Suta's right and states in a stressed out tone, "That's why Colin's the 7th Most Wanted in the universe! It's practically immortal and wreaks havoc everywhere!"

Suta cocks his head left while curiosity is radiating. "I wonder how it gets around though." The teal-eyed gentleman nonchalantly shrugs and repairs his head's angling. "Anyway, if Colin and its kind don't fight, they can't extend their race. They nearly went extinct once, but it wasn't for the lack of battling. They know that a peaceful life doesn't benefit them, so they rarely stop causing trouble."

The Black Ops members all issue Suta a confused look.

Suta soon turns his sight to the group of humans as he emits a solemn attitude. "Moving on from that. I need you people to protect Virgil, Anemone and Doyenne. Preferably get them out of this area. After all, none of you are much of an assistance."

The men in combat clothing are dumbfounded and moderately angered by Suta's declaration.

Suta abruptly portrays a gleeful personality while grinning with his eyes shut. "Sorry if it sounds rude. I solely want you to be aware of the reality." He then applies his vision to Colin and bluntly remarks, "Plus, I won't have to restrain myself from obliterating stuff. With you folks and my friends no longer here, I can behave naturally." Suta rapidly breaks into a dash, traversing towards Colin, as he horizontally hoists Omega with the appendage carrying it remaining at the region it pertains to.

Colin keys on Suta journeying hurriedly towards it as the extraterrestrial's children attempt to intercept the star via situating themselves in front of their parent.

Suta doesn't falter though and has Omega brim with aqua-colored aura as its blade splits in two before horizontally swinging the weapon, immediately blasting the multiple offsprings away.

Colin, plagued by astonishment for a temporary period, flees to its left where the muscular Colum's poised thanks to the fact that Suta's attack continues stretching its range of destruction after eliminating the newborns. Not long after, the barbarian mounts its attention to the direction that the blast is going and sees a huge building similar to the one it originated from getting hit, ultimately being annihilated.

Concurrently, Suta casually utters with his right hand hanging toward its appropriate side, viewing the fast obliteration of the nearby structure, "After all, the way to guarantee that the Colums' don't reproduce is through not leaving a single spec of them."

The Black Ops individuals are rendered baffled at the display of power, eventually choosing to comply with Suta's request instead of inquiring how he did that while some strive to escape the rampage that Colin's child is ushering with its offsprings. Sadly for the humans, the Colums aren't affected by the recent devastation or the loss of their own species as they persist their assault, tearing countless of them apart amidst the aliens' feeding frenzy.

Then, a handful of the Colums promptly chase after the people swiftly heading towards Doyenne's group, showing ferocity throughout.

Suta depicts that out of the corner of his eyes, but can't aid his companions due to Colin abruptly sprinting towards him as its mouth is profusely expanded. Prior to the enemy's arrival, the poncho-wearing character repels Colin with the forming of four Deltas that collide onto the criminal's jaws in unison.

Upon that transgressing, a few of the Colums instantly commences charging towards Suta's right, although not to defend Colin since their primary thinking is to devour anything that's alive and have already disposed of the agents close by.

Suta glimpses at the oncoming adversaries with a carefree demeanor while Iota quickly positions itself properly, startling Virgil a bit because of him not anticipating that, and flies towards the young man. A moment later, as the Colums were about to reach him, the aqua-haired fellow confronts the black-skinned creatures and hops into the air with his legs sufficiently spread out to permit Iota the ability of passing between his lower extremity.

As a result, one of the Colums is struck on the abdomen while Iota suddenly shoots several Deltas from it to hit the extraterrestrials next to both of its sides. After that, the aliens are hurled in different directions with pained cries released until they all fall to the street.

Meanwhile, having collected its bearings, Colin hastily rushes towards Suta's left to implement a second effort in consuming the lad.

Suta retains his concentration to the Colums he deterred, however, doesn't signify that he's oblivious to Colin's advancement and proves that via unpredictably swinging Omega at a vertical angle towards the opponent while keeping his constitution onward with merely his right hand still wielding his hybrid sword.

Colin's unable to react to Suta's slash fast enough, getting cut in two again. Despite that, the Colum exhibits no fear thanks to relying on its reproduction trait.

To its disappointment, Suta refuses to give Colin time for that through him rapidly adjusting his stance so he can face the entity with Omega briefly aimed skyward while smirking. Following that, the guy swaps his grip of Omega prior to driving it into the terrain at the middle of Colin's severed halves with a mighty blast expelling once impact is made as that hurriedly eliminates the extraterrestrial's existence.

The rest of the Colums witness Colin's death, continually being compelled to cause havoc as they strive to rise. At the same time, more spawns are developed from the previous blows they received by Suta's aura while Iota's visibly soaring above the vicinity.

Afterwards, Suta drops his right appendage with the radiance Omega crafted fading away and resets his focus to his comrade, finding the Black Ops team struggling to prevent the Colums' intentions. This leads to the teal-eyed gentleman to subtly flick his left hand as hears numerous Colums journeying towards his right again and leisurely administers his vision onto the mob. Without any additional movement, Suta forges countless Deltas surrounding him while gingerly commenting, "I wanna' do it myself, but making them depend on me a lot is awful. That's why I talked to Victress and came up with a slightly better idea than betting everything onto me."

During that, Iota had started ascending deep into the air, soon sinking into a cluster of clouds poised over the city.

In the meantime, Virgil urgently goes to Anemone upon registering her frantically running away from a bunch of Colums who unexpectedly appeared while thinking, "This is too much!" He promptly manages to get to Anemone's location and shoves a foe into another so their trajectory will be changed. Doing that put Virgil in danger though as a couple of Colums launch themselves towards his posterior, both almost chomping the teen's body.

Luckily, Doyenne saves Virgil with the power of her gem, however, it's quite apparent that she's becoming fairly exhausted from repetitively utilizing it as she fiercely thinks while her teeth are gritted, "I can't lose it...! I'll keep using this cursed power until I die if need be...! I don't wish for anything bad to occur to them...!"

Virgil watches Doyenne and is awestruck while feeling his chest tightening.
