(6) Rain Storm
*play sound as you read* *or not*
Junhui was the first to wake up. The sound of the rain on the windows was somewhat soothing to hear.
No one was up yet since it was merely 6:30am. He looked over at the baby sleeping next to him. She looked so comfy wrapped in the sheets.
He looked outside to see the continuous downpour of rain. They had planned to go to the river today.
"I feel like i'm forgetting something..."
He looked at his phone and saw a notification. This was their last day they had reserved at the hotel.
A knock on his door came while he was scouting locations. Careful not to wake the others, he opened it.
"Oh, good morning Seungkwan."
"Not a good morning. As a matter of fact, terrible morning."
"Why, what happened?"
"I woke up and one of the littles was gone."
"Don't tell me..."
"Yeah, Hoshi left. He was really upset after his punishment and I guess he decided to leave."
"Well where is he?"
"I texted him. He's on his way back to Seoul."
"*sighs*...so are we going after him?"
"Yeah, we have time to get there and back before checkout."
"Alright...I'll take Dailin."
"Ok. Woozi and Jeonghan begged me to bring them too.'
Junhui picked up his daughter and grabbed some items before leaving the room. He joined Seungkwan and the littles in the hallway.
"Good morning Uncle Hui."
"Good morning Jeonghan. Feeling better?"
"Still got the sniffles."
"Hehe, cute."
The rain was pounding on the car as they all got inside. Woozi was so invested in the rain, he tried touching it through the window.
Dailin woke up and was staring out the window as well. Once buckled in, they set off in search of Hoshi.
Hoshi knew now that he had done something incredibly stupid. He could have talked things out with them but...no. He left.
He was now at the train station wating for the KTX highspeed train. But...he didn't have any idea what to do.
"Do I need a ticket?"
"No."
"Do I have to pay?"
"No."
"Ok."
Hoshi sat waiting for this train. He was tired, very tired. Everyone in Seventeen knew that Hoshi's number one little space trigger was when he was sleepy.
He looked around at all the people and started feeling smaller by the second. Place that with the growing intensity of the rain and you have a little Hoshi.
"*making noises*"
He managed to slip into his youngest headspace while watching the people's shoes.
Then, he heard a familiar voice.
"Well look, the train should be here in an hour and I will be back."
He looked in the direction of the person and saw him.
"Ok, ok. Jungkook, I am on my way home. Yes I will pick up baby food so you don't have to. Bye."
"*babbling*"
The man looked over, "Oh, Hoshi? From Seventeen?"
It was Taehyung, who was on his way back from Daejeon after picking up his own baby.
"Hi man, how are you?"
Hoshi just stared, being nonverbal was not working to his advantage.
"Hmm, can't talk? The rain making you too scared to speak?"
Taehyung saw the look in Hoshi's eyes, he put two and two together and smiled, "Ah, I see. You're like Jungkook. A little."
Hoshi kept staring at the little boy standing by Taehyung.
"This is Junior. He was visiting his mom. Where is your mama?"
Hoshi looked in the direction of the city. He didn't call anyone his momma, but he did have his Baba.
"Let's go inside the station and away from this rain...my clothes are getting wet."
The three went inside and sat down. Junior hopped on Hoshi's lap and laid on his chest.
"He does that to people he likes. I guess he senses your innocence."
Suddenly, lightning struck the building.
*BOOM BOOM BOOM*
"Are you two ok?"
Junior and Hoshi shook their heads. The wind blew even harder, slightly scaring Hoshi.
A woman shouted, "There's water!"
Taehyung looked towards the door to see water beginning to flow through.
"Please don't tell me..."
The same woman came up to them, "Sir, they just released the flood gates near the railway. It couldn't hold anymore water...do you know anywhere we can go?"
Taehyung had no idea. Hoshi either. But they could agree one thing,
this building was about to flood.
